The City of Lemsid

Click pictures for full-sizes

Lemsid is a small city on the coast of the atlantic, North of Zukuraai; hence the similar climates. Originally a small bazaar on the savanna, It has grown to be a large city atop the marshland the bazaar was originally located.

Lemsid (was) a growing commercial epicenter in the 90's, but since recently much growth has stopped...

...The newest growth being a small condo development to the SW of the city.

Around the northern and western parts of the city there are many farms. Mostly pastures for animals. The land here is very fertile from the summer rains, and the grasses flourish most of the year, while the swamps dry up other times.

Lemsid is situated on the edge of a large marsh, as well as several rivers and the ocean. The warm air which comes from the mountains often creates huge dense fog banks which blanket the entire coast. For this reason the city has been hesitant to build an airport for itself.

I leave off with a large mosaic. Hope you all enjoyed!  44.gif

Nice Marsh, was the fog photoshopped or was that a fog mod?

This CJ gets more and more awesome update after update... I've loved many things, but your use of FAR curves and the NWM is amazing...

BTW, seems that right now on El Aaiun is going through some turmoil, hope Lemsid isn't affected... I would link the news, but I still haven't found it in English.

You never seem to dispoint me...\
Those nature skills are awesome!  btw, I think you haven't answer my question on the fourms.  How did you make those runways blend in with the tarmac / apron?  Did you lot them or it was PS'ed?

Hi Marsh,
again a great update, the first pic is better than I can describe with my poor english knowledges. I will always look into Your CJ, there is so much to discover. The light and the colours, it´s only fantastic. Whatever: I´m a fan...

The fog was photoshopped in.

ionionion: Thank you a lot! It means a lot.
Reikhardt:Thanks! There like little half-dry watering holes.
TekindusT: Thank you. Do you mean in RL?
tankmank:Thanks! It's not meant to be a huge city. I'm going to enjoy making many natural scenes in this region.
Evillions:Thank you! I think I answered you on the forums now... but I photoshopped them in. Simply used a stamp tool and covered that small bit of grass up with cement.
ImVhOzzi: Thanks!
