Rooleyson November 2009 Update: Report from the Rooleyson City Hall

Today, the city of Rooleyson has reached a milestone 500 000 population. It comes perfectly in time with some new buildings, projects, roads, plans, and an update of the city and the different projects. Over the past month since the start, there has been a lot of development with lots of suburbs, industrial districts, business districts including the CBD, shopping areas, two airports, some oil fields, farms and a whole highway system to tie it all in. Most of this development has been conducted in the northside of the area, where the city was first started, expanding on the original town of Morawee, now one of the many suburbs. In this update, I will update you on the current status on the projects currently developing, the overall status of the city, as well as what the future holds and some previews of new places which I will give more detail about in upcoming entries in The Rooleyson Journal.

Rooleyson Highway Network

The Rooleyson Highway Network (RHN) has been a top priority in the city council since day one. The council has always aimed to build a highway system in Rooleyson that would make for faster travel and easy access from and to different areas of the city. Since the RHN entry in the journal, some new highway sections have been added including the highway link to the airport. The council has also come to a conclusion on the future of the stems of the RHN and have decided to make new stems that go from one major intersection to the next. The main reason for this is to neaten up the network and make identifying easier.

Tamewood Industrial Project (TIP)

The Tamewood Industrial Project (TIP) has been the primary location of the city's industries. It is full of heavy industries and manufacturers of all densities along with a few power and waste stations plus an airport. Since the TIP and YTIP entries, there hasn't been as much development on the project due to the pollution problem. The only new development are the new waste and power stations in District 4 and development in District 6. Future development of District 6 and District 7 is on hold at the moment, and a final report on the future of TIP will come by next month.

Other Updates

There have been some new developments in the CBD of Rooleyson. A new hotel has replaced some high wealth residences in West Residence next to the Queen West Mall. The new shopping malls have also been completed in Greenwood, near Dan MacJohnson Plaza.

We have also welcomed new farms to the agricultural community of Laree. The agriculture production from Laree has supported the food supply for Rooleyson, and is a very important community of Rooleyson. Unfortunately, due to the lack of suitable soil for agriculture and the development of the city, the community of Laree won't be able to expand much further, and thus, the city will have to also start heavily relying on imports, which they have already started doing.

The Future of Rooleyson

Development has already started in the eastern suburbs, and it should be completed very soon. After the eastern suburbs are complete, we will then move to the southside of the map and start development on the southern suburbs. This will take quite a while so don't expect too regular updates. Development of residences on Kathine Hill has also started, and should also be completed along with the eastern suburbs. Coming up soon in The Rooleyson Journal will be entires on Brokeford, Kathine Hill, Laree and the eastern suburbs.

Here are some sneak peaks of new areas in the eastern suburbs...

Hope you enjoyed the November 09 update at 500k! Stay tuned to The Rooleyson Journal for more exciting developments in the bustling city of Rooleyson.;)
