Northern Inner City Suburbs - West MacJohnson

Sign in to follow this

The northern inner city suburbs consist of a number of suburbs on the north side of the Kanga River which are close to the CBD. They are newly developed and renovated areas and now contain many high wealth districts, offices, shopping plazas and hotels. These districts expand on the high living of the CBD, making Rooleyson a real good place of good living. There are two areas of the northern inner city suburbs, split by the MacJohnson River, which joins with the Kanga River at the area: the East MacJohnson Inner City Suburbs and West MacJohnson Inner City Suburbs.

West MacJohnson Inner City Suburbs

Northtown is known as the "Med CBD", for it's number of medium density office buildings, making it another business hub. It's the main district of the West MacJohnson Inner City Suburbs. The district only contains offices and plazas, and two hotels. Apart from that, there's not too much, which is why it isn't as a popular place as most nearby districts.

Upper Linn

Upper Linn is the uptown area developed from the West MacJohnson Suburb of Linn. This area contains medium density residences of medium wealth and high wealth. Offices are also in the area along the main street. Some of the residences have been built under the West MacJohnson Bypass, which bypasses the west MacJohnson inner city suburbs.

Kathineville is the other French district in Rooleyson, with La Ville De MacJohnson being the other one. Kathineville is pretty similar to the other one, with high wealth medium density residences throughout the area. There is also a park in the centre of it all as well, polishing the area, and providing a public gathering and relaxing place for the residents.

Annaley is a normal suburb, containing medium wealth houses, offices and shops. Just like Corrington, its position makes it more expensive than other ordinary suburbs. The suburb also contains the landmark Kodak Shop, for all your professional camera goods. Since the development of the suburb, some of the lower area of Birrawillow has been changed to be in Annaley.

Stay tuned to The Rooleyson Journal for more on the completion of the Rooleyson International Airport (YROO) district and Brokeford. Note that it may be some time yet before these entries come out, to spread time out evenly for the slow development of the southern and eastern suburbs.

looks better than anything i ever made in CXL
how did you make the grass areas with the concrete paths? is that something new that was not in the beta, or did you plop buildings and then destroy them?
The perspective shots look quite realistic
Keep it up!!

@ BlueMoose - I simply laid down small roads which would be the paths of the concrete. Then I'd fill the in between gaps with grass, then I destroy the roads and use the plaza filler. It's a trick also I did a while ago before CXL with City Life.
