I like it. Reminds me of midwestern US cities I've seen while browsing around on Google Maps.


As for suggestions, have you considered laying your city out in a traditional US streetgrid? If you really want to get detailed, remember that many US cities were originally built using streetcars as the main form of transportation, and that early suburbs were based around streetcar lines which would branch out from the downtown core. Have a look at some cities which have retained their systems such as Toronto or Melbourne, Australia on Google Maps. Notice how streetcar lines sprawl out along commercial avenues from the downtown cores, intermingled with residential neighborhoods.

Very interesting. I especially like this photo with rail dividing rural area from civic with those playgrounds.
