Update 63 - Uttica Creek Neighborhood: Oklahoma Avenue

We continue along Uttica Creek, first south and then west. First we see Exit 79B to West Oklahoma Avenue which runs just south of Uttica Creek.

We've seen this area before, just north of the University of Wenzel - Martin campus.

Remember?

As you probably have seen, the street map has been updated quite a bit. I'm currently working on the area near St. Paul, though I might go back and fill in more area between Martin and Hawthorne on the south side. Really, I'm just building everywhere, haha.

Check out the District of Wenzel Street Map to get an idea where we are.

If your city was an American city, it would look the LEAST like it came out of SimCity 4. I cannot rate this because I want to give it ten thousand, but it'll only let me put five!!! :P

The attention to detail, especially the street names, is superior than anything I have seen with large-scale developments. Kudos!

Thanks, only 9/10? Haha, yeah I don't think it is worthy of 10, myself, hehe.

Wow, thank you very much. Alas, I am not a master lotter like REWRIGHT or MR. BEER so there are areas that still have SimCityness to them, haha, but I understand what you mean. Thanks!

Remember, I did focal blur before SC2013 was announced :P...glad to captivate you!

Thanks. Hey, I've been drawing maps since I was a little kid and the part of my journal that really makes it feel like a cohesive city is having street names! That was the original intent of my street map (just so I could know all the street names and refer to them in pictures), but then I put that map up for all to see, hehe. I also have a text document where every school, church, library, etc is named and has its address (for example: UTTICA CREEK EAST: St Bernadette Catholic S 26th St / W Oklahoma Ave)

That's a pretty awesome creek I must say.

Thank you much. Creeks are important for realism (especially for me, since I'm used to numerous creeks and rivers in Milwaukee). I remember I used a map and built a city journal called Rabourn. That map had a ton of creeks and that is why I picked it!

Thank you. Oklahoma Elementary is the Stage 3 School from Deadwood's Large School Set. I usually just use the Stage 3 school since it is the biggest and I am looking for a big building for a school to add variety. I think I have about 7 different elementary school types.

1 - Thank you.
2 - I pretty much update the map when I update it. I will never post a journal entry covering an area that isn't covered by an updated map. The map is currently completely up to date (at least the sections I have completed). I have to do maps for a lot of areas of the map, though my main focus will be on the St. Paul area. This might be slowed by the fact that I may need to restart the big St. Paul tile. I can't get it to load with my current stable of plugins...and I keep even remember the last time I successfully loaded it...Oh well, not a big deal.
3. Yup. ahhhhhh....ssssss...ahhhhh....ssssss
