INTRODUCTION TO THOMASON
Welcome to Thomason, a brand new town in Windemere. And also welcome to the completely re-vamped Windemere! I hope you like the new look, which is a more modern look and less cluttered (hopefully... ) Over the next few updates the look may be tweaked slightly as this new look gets going!
Now, about Thomason. Thomason is a relatively new town in Windemere. It is a suburb of Wrenshaw, located North-East of the downtown core, but directly to the east of city lines. It is developing quickly, with its location being very desirable. So lets go have a look at the town and its development.
Here is Scotiabank Tower. It was constructed at the same time as the houses surrounding it.
This is Thomason Elementary School. It was finished just in time for the start of the latest school year in Windemere. A large public sports field sits in the back of the school.
This is the main commercial intersection in Thomason. It features a plaza design common in Windemere; having a Food Lion grocery store and Eckerd Pharmacy and various small shops. Also on the throughfare is a gas station, Tim Hortons and Burger King. A small plaza was recently completed.
Here is another view of the intersection. Note the construction site; it will soon be the home to another office tower.
This is a recent development to Thomason; an Ikea store! It is the first Ikea store in Windemere, with plans for another currently in the works. The area around Ikea is slated to be developed into a shopping destination simmilar to Macoe.
Just behind the Ikea is a new construction site. Little is known about this site, other than it has just recently showed up...
This is one of the growing number of solar farms popping up in Windemere. It is, so far, the largest.
Last picture for today: this is the sports complex in Thomason. It, along with the majority of the town, is newly built. It is already proving very popular to residents.
That is all for today! I hope you've enjoyed today's update looking at Thomason. We will be returning here to have a look at the ongoing construction and development.
As for the new look, I hope you like it! Some improvements will be made as we go on, including downsizing the pictures so the "Auto resize" no longer happens.
As always, hope you've enjoyed!
