Today we'll have just a couple pics of the area north of the very center, known locally as NotC, north of the Center.
City Church, the oldest building in Central Cumberland, now an "emergant church", popular with the young people. Next door is the Regal Community arts Center. Although Cumberland is an industrious city, its culture is rich. There are tons of local acting troupes, the best of which is the CTL, Community Theatre League which calls the Regal home. the RCAC also host famous music artists. The parking lot and nearby old marketplace host the area's first friday, a cultural celebration of local artists, chefs, musicians and artisans.
Along with being a cultural center, NotC is also a shopping district, similar to Westend.
Now, a mosaic that begins at Westend and ends in Bergenside, covering NotC. The Yellow/Orange building with the tower, next to City Church, near the Center of the image is the marketplace that hosts First Fridays and other socio-cultural events. There is also and underground Discotheque in the marketplace, MRKT.
Ultimately, Cumberland is one of the most Culturally active places in the Northeast aside from NYC.
Thanks for Visiting.
Ps. I'm working really hard on a transit map for the next update!
Pps. "The Valley", shown empty on previous region shots is now almost ready to be revealed.
