Welcome to Arcadia, The Land Of Riches!

This is my first city journal page, and I'd like to ask people to please give me feedback on how I could improve further entries; please don't hold back your comments.

Welcome to Arcadia, Arcadia has a population of a little over half a million, and is continuing grow every moment. There are five cities and two countries growing inside the region at the moment, however new settlements are popping up everywhere. My largest city and capital of Pratt is Blue, which has a population of 250,000 people, however is currently in a deep recession. The second, third, and fourth biggest cities have about 110,000-70,000 people, mostly of which are middle class residents. The "smallest" city in Arcadia, which is also the capital is Smelt is Gainsville, with a population of about 50,000 people.

In this picture you can see Blue (farthest south city) with the beautiful Blue River cutting through the center, and Gainsville (the farthest north city).

Here is a teaser to my next update. We will explore this now unknown city.

Thank you for reading!

What I like:

1) Looks like you have some pretty good sized cities.
2) I like the airports.
3) Individually, you seem to have built your cities realistically.

All in all, you get four stars from me. A few suggestions, if I may?:

1) When taking your region shot, turn off the city borders.
2) I can see you have started hand terraforming this region. Unless you really want to get involved, I reccomend downloading one of the many great regions on the STEX. A terrain and water mod wouldn't hurt, either! :)
3)Your cities in the region seem kinda unrealistic. If you want to look good, your cities shouldn't just be squares in a region.

I think you have a really positive start. Looks good. I would check out some other 4 and 5 star CJ's, to see what you can learn. I wish you luck with your new CJ!

-Alex :)

Ooo, a request for feedback! Okay, my $.02: What are those big, square "lakes?" Do they serve a purpose? I would personally think about what they are there for and try to make them fit the region better than just a big, gaudy square. If they were transit canals, why do they suddenly end at the city borders? If they are parks or reflective pools, why is there city right up to the edges, and nothing at either end to reflect (think of like the Washington Monument)? Otherwise, the one closeup shot looks like you have something very interesting happening. I would definitely like to see more!
