a graphical problem

  • i just reinstalled windows so if thats the problem, just tell me. when i play sim city 4, all the buildings get turned into boxes, like the pixels get scrambled or something. it also includes tornados and tornado trails along with waves and clouds. this only happens when i scroll around the city. any ideas? i'll post a picture when i can.

    I may be completely off the mark here, but when you reinstalled Windows did you update your graphics drivers, both Direct X and those for your graphics card? Sounds to me to be more likely a Direct X problem. Check the version you are running. If it's anything below version 9 you need to update it. You can get the latest version from Microsoft: here.
