It was there before?

There are two possibilites:

  1. You modified the graphic settings of the game to hide automatas (cars and people) from being drawn on the screen, but the traffic is still going on.
  2. You haven't let the game progress and only plopped everything, so there are no sims to commute anywhere.

To check, open the data view and the 'traffic' mode. Then choose 'congestion' (I'm not sure how that could have been translated to portuguese, though). If you see:

  • no coloured lines overlaying the map
    • then you haven't allowed the simulation to run after building the networks.
      • Let the simulation run for a few in-game months.
  • only green lines
    • then you either don't have enough sims, or you have built so many roads that there aren't enough sims to use them all.
      • try zoning more residential zones to increase the number of sims, and reduce the amount of roads.
  • green, yellow and red lines
    • then the simulation is running ok, but you aren't able to see it
      • change the graphic settings to allow automatas to show (use 'medium' or 'high' settings).

I love this game but I always get problems with traffic, I don't even have 7,000 population yet so I need to fix traffic. Roundabouts seems to help but I can't have roundabouts everywhere. Currently I have this problem for instance, its a queue to get back onto the highway. I don't know how I'm supposed to get traffic back on to the highway properly, so I just did this. Would welcome some advice.

Here's the situation. I'm trying to add traffic stains to my roads(as can be seen in the pics). The only way I know how to do this is by superimposing props, problem is that I hit the prop limit, no more!  That is unacceptable. I'm wondering if there is some way to colorize, in other words stain the given game roads and use them as upgrades on existing roads without using props. After all, all we talking about is changing the existing color pixelization on the asset with no additional program elements. Is there some way of doing this? And I hope outside of using the Asset Editor which always crashes for some reason.
