Those are wonderful tulips. I didn't really see many these year and can now enjoy some in the game :) .

These tulips look great. I love flowers. But I have to ask, off-topic, what is that fountain? It looks awesome.

At last we are beginning to see some realistic representations of flowers rather than the generic stuff. Your trees add so much realism to cities and the tulips and pampas grass look fantastic. Look forward to more realistic flowers to assist with detailing. Thanks again for all your work MrMaison!

You know the smaller and more finely detailed you make the flowers the more finely detailed I'm going to have to make my parks. I see many hours of gardening in my future...

 (Looks great though :))

Wish I had a better machine to be able to use all those fantastic plants you make !!!!!! :(

They look scary but trees are harmless. I did a test where I spammed my heaviest trees on a map and zoomed in to fill the screen with them and turned up dynamic resolution to 300. I still got 20-30fps. It's when I panned the camera to the city simulating stuff that the fps dropped dramatically.

@Rotype I look forward to seeing those new parks *:D

The red cedar, which is actually a juniper tree, is ubiquitous in central Kentucky and is perfect for my Jessamine quad.  Thank you Dennis- great work!

  • Many of you know this tree. Some of you have some right in your back yard. This tree is called Tree of Heaven. It's also nicknamed Ghetto Palm. *:D More info on the Steam page.

I made some road marking decal packs to place on roads to add to the overall realism of the game.
The pack is available in two versions: white and yellow

        Hey fellas!
Quick question.. let's say  I go into the asset editor and modify a building, I save it, and I place it on my city.. Do I still need the original asset from the workshop? or by saving it Im already creating a version of my own which does not require the "base" or "original" asset to work?

I have become more familiar in 3Ds Max and even gained enough expertise in it over the past few months that I think my skill level is approaching a point where I think I am good enough to start making mods for Cities: Skylines. I started practicing in 3DsMax to make brick rowhouses for the game Banished but since I am more interested in Cities: Skylines now and my buildings were practice so I can mod C:S, I decided to start a new project of making buildings just for Cities: Skylines.
I whipped this building up over the course of 4-7 hours today. It would have taken only 1 or 2 hours had I not made a ton of mistakes that required me to start from the beginning.

It will normally grow on a 4 tile wide x 3 tile deep lot with the ability to grow on a 4x4 lot with a backyard.
FYI, I plan on making a ColorMask for the outer 2 rowhouses so it could have more variety (bright red, pink, tan, and whitewashed).
Please give me feedback to help me improve the quality of my creations.
        Thank you!

        Hey gang,

Is there a super secret way to control how high the scaffolding animation goes on growable buildings?
I searched around but couldn't find any info.

I have these low roof houses... yet the construction goes up 6-7 levels. Its kind of ridiculous.
I thought the Floor numbers in the Asset Editor properties might do it but it doesn't seem to make a difference.
Or I'm doing it wrong... which is a strong possibility as that floor height numbers business makes no sense to me.

I assumed 1 = 1 meter so my houses are approx. 4 high. But I'm still getting massive scaffolding animation.
