Question about Draw Paths

Kept seeing pictures of roads and highways and such with different color arrows on them. I always thought they were just something you programmers out there could do to make a point or find errors on the roads. Well just realized it was in the list of extra cheats. Guess I should look at the list sometimes and see what's in there huh? Anyway, my question is, how do you read the arrows? Since I have finally broken down to take the time to learn how to use the NAM and most or all of it's wonderful features this little item will come in handy for me.

The one thing to pay attention to is the colour. If it's green, it's cars. If it's blue, it's pedestrians. (These are coloured differently than the Query tool, for the record.) If it's purple or pink, it's one of the rail types (Elevated Rail, Heavy Rail, Monorail). If it's flashing, 80% of the time, it means something's coded wrong.
