Wierd Beach Bug

Hey there so i created a beach for my small town in my region and this bug occured, firstly sorry about the picture size but if you look closely the wierd blue in the coast is the direct placement of the beach and it looks terribly wrong in my region view,

So i have the PEG brigantine water mod installed as well as 2 options from the RVT coastal mod the white sands foreshore and beach DAT. I did this because i tend to favour the white beaches

now in the town when playing it the beach does not blend well at all it leaves this horrible unclean beachline that does not blend well. The odd thing is that I was messing around making a beach earlier and it blended but then it suddenly stopped blending completely AND made it look really odd in the region view.

any help or suggestions? thanks a million

This is due to a bug in the game, where if you plop any lots that goes partly under water, the water will "disappear" over the tiles with textures. There are two ways of fixing it, as far as I know.

1) go into waterpollution maps/mode and exit again.

2) save and exit to region. Then re-enter your city. The problem should now be fixed.

I don't think anything else can be done about it.

If it gets too frustrating - it did for me - then try have a look at this amazing CJ/MD LINK

The author does not use any ploppable beaches and the results are just stunning. There are a lot of other similar CJs/MDs, but this is the first that came to my mind

The reason you can't get this fixed is that the game is no longer maintained by EA, but they won't release the source either. I hope you are not under the impression that this is a current game. Last touched by a programmer in 2003.
