I was told to better provide screenshots of custom maps is to show the actual terrain of the region rather than the greensh coloring for altitudes... I went though ALL the setting on the maps in Sim City 4 but cannot figure out how that is done!!! can someone tell me how that is done???

  • You need to open and save each city tile to get the terrain texture to show.

Which means I am going to have a bunch of empty cities with names, 0 population, and deserted... there has got to be a way beforehand!!! because if I create a city and save one by one, there will be city names all over the region!!! people DON'T have those in their screenshots!!!

You don't have to go into mayor mode and name the cities to save them...

Drunkapple released something a few weeks ago that might speed up things for you.

Look, you want help, we give you help and then you turn it down. It's not going to be easier then this. Remember that this game is 10 years old and we are already doing things with it where the game originally isn't designed to do and we do run up to hard limits. This is most likely one of them. So it's this or the old method. Period.
