Demand stuck in whole region

Hi ST!

I have a problem regarding the demand in my cities. The demand graph looks like this in all my cities:

post-304462-0-48590400-1353875007_thumb.

The biggest problem is that it does not change at all. I have tried almost everything, but nothing will get the residential demand up.

I have the CAM installed, and when I have uninstalled it, the graph was just showing some demand for CS$, CO$$$ and I$$$. My region has 7 cities, and I have only managed to get inhabitants in four of them. When I start up a new city, there is a starting demand, and that demand is almost constant during gameplay. It is annoying me, mostly because of the difficulty with growing my region. Does anyone know how to fix this (CAMpitable mod or so) - I want to boost the demand and get out of this situation.

Thank you in advance

I know what CAM is, but I don't personally use it, so I wouldn't be able to address any particulars about that. However, my initial reaction to your post is that we will probably need a lot more information from you before we can begin to assess the situation. For instance, tell us about the desirability factors of your city...show us some screenshots, tell us about the types of landmarks/rewards you have in your city, what is the coverage of your police/fire departments/schools, do you have any colleges, how many parks do you have, what kind of transportation network do you have in place, etc. We need more to go on.

CAM screws up the game so much that I stopped using is several iterations ago. It is not for me.

I suggest you look at all the other displays other than the demand chart. Especially have a look at Desirability. Make sure everything is powered, watered and has fire, police, education and health coverage.

Next, look at exactly what you have for residential. All CAM really does is extend the game by about 85% by increasing the number of levels and changing the maxima on demands accordingly. It also locks out some parts of the game and inserts other things in their place.

If you don't really understand fully what the CAM does, I suggest you lose it and restart your region from scratch.

Problem with that "tool" is that is does not really give any valuable info... try this one instead -

I don't have much experience with CAM either (aside from quickly de-installing it again after a few trials) - did you say that you had it installed, ran the game for some time, and then deleted it? That might explain that overdose of COM demand... did you bulldoze all CAM lots before deleting the mod?

Hard to tell without knowing more about your current setup... I cross my fingers that you can resolve this issue.

That might be just the problem. I'll try the download you recommended, and if that does not work, I will try to find a demand mod that boosts my demands without comflicting with CAM.

And I can assure everyone, that I have been looking at all graphs about desirability etc., plopped police and fire stations, hospitals, schools and rewards without that making any difference at all.

But I am an optimis, so I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

And thank you for taking your time trying to help me with my problem.

    - You're still welcome to write even more if you suddenly realise something.

Well, the little mod I recommended will not help with your current problem - I fear that is really a CAM issue... but keep the mod for later, it lets you query every RCI and gives a lot of info about caps, demand, density and such... :-)
