Is there a RHW-6C to Elevated RHW-6C piece?

  • There it is. Swear you can flip through these all day and miss the pieces you're looking for.

And speaking of the elevated RHW-6C, I think I've read in a bunch of places that there's no way to actually make any elevated 4 or 6 lane go over an 8C or 8S, as an example. Sounds like the only way to get a road "past" a 8C/S or a 10C/S is to go underground with an avenue. Correct?

  • Playing around, it looks like you can build 10S underneath the Elevated 6C. Just need to find out if there is are entrance/exit ramps for the Elevated 6C and I'm starting to clue in to how most of this stuff works :)

In the current RHW version, the Elevated 6C can cross over pretty much everything except Single-Track Rail, Network Widening Mod networks, and Street Addon Mod streets, or anything diagonal. It does not have any entrance or exit ramps, however, nor can it go diagonal. Elevated network content tends to drag a good way behind ground-level equivalents, due to the specialized modeling involved.

The next RHW release, which will actually be merged into the next NAM rather than offered as a separate-download module, actually completely reworks the technical backend of the system, and it'll add elevated versions at multiple height levels for all the existing ground-level networks, with diagonal functionality, but I'm not sure that we'll have much new in the way of new on/offramps for the elevated networks.

  • Good info, thanks Tarkus. Just spent the weekend playing with all the pieces, watching videos, playing some more...

...then I thought about how I was going to use them :)

That's when you think, if I use a 10 lane highway to criss-cross across a city how will I split off, join other highways, exit into the urban area. If I run an 8 lane highway east to west and one north to south, how will they intersect?

Luckily I see tons of pieces to help these kinds of decisions...just need to keep playing with them =)
