Urban Plaza's?

Hi all

I am looking for some sort of modular plaza set that will enable me to build fairly large city plaza's - I have Paengs parks installed and they are great for my suburbs, and smaller town sqaures, but I am looking for something a little more urban! Can anyone point me in the right direction? Had a look on the STEX, and while there are plaza's, I cant see a modular kit!!

Thanks in advance all

Nige

Use the Pedestrian Malls. You can lay them down square by square in several decors and put anything else mixed in with them. You can also have commercial buildings facing them, but not residential.

  • @nonnymoose - when you say you can have commercial facing them, do you mean that commercial can build up them rather than roads?

@basty_goofy - thanks! Will take a look at those when i get home!

I really think the best thing you can do is to simply use the Search function of the STEX, and type in plaza (or plural, as in plazas)...or type in small parks. From there, you just have to browse through the pages of downloads until you see what you're looking for. In all my browsing through the STEX since I've been on Simtropolis, I've come across MULTIPLE downloads of different kinds of plazas.

Here are a bunch of different downloads I've come across while searching for you, but there are a LOT more. Maybe these will help you in some way. You just have to piece them together to create the look you're trying to achieve. Good luck!

Yes. Re-read that section of the NAM documentation. They are really roads except they cannot be used as edges for residential. One of the uses I make of these tiles is to create a mall when I need a commercial district in a tight space. You can use it as a walking space between two rows of small commercial lots (say 2 x 1) that back on to something else.
