Buildings underground!?

Hello there!

I have a problem (obviously): Some of my buildings are built underground!

Anybody has that problem? Its kinda hard to describe... :/

Please help! Its near unplayable like this...wholes districts are underground... :(

Yes, this is a slope problem, I believe, with Cities XL. Unfortunately, its buildings don't conform to slopes well. Building on steep hills or ruggid terrain is tricky in CXL, and this problem is likely to persist.

    Do you see a work-around or some way to avoid this problem? For example, if I do not use 'pre-made packages' of districts and instead make them on my own (constructing the roads and then adding buildings), would it reduce the problem?

    What do you suggest?

    One thing you could do is try to flatten the rocky ground. For example, you could use the "ground level tool", found at the bottom of the Decorations menu. If that doesn't suit you, there are various mods out there. :)

    Mods such as the Dig Tool, which lets you level terrain, or the "Extra Terraforming Options", at our STEX. Unfortunately, the STEX is currently offline, but when it comes back online, this is a viable option.
