Overpasses = road access...?

If you place a lot next to an overpass (and the arrow points to the overpass), but there is no direct contact with the road leading to the overpass, is that considered road access?

    The lot (blue) is touching the overpass (red), but not touching the road that leads to the overpass (black).

    The arrow on the lot is pointing toward the overpass, but I don't know if that means it has road access or not. Does it? If not, I need to tear out a section of the city I'm working on and redo it.

    Easiest way to tell is place the lot and see if the 'No Road Access' Zot appears. If it doesn't then you are probably okay. You can also use the route query to see if traffic is going to/from the lot. However, I agree with A Nonny Moose, it is generally not good practice to zone or place lots like what you describe. It is better (and more realistic) to make sure the lot or zone faces an 'open' road.

    As far as the game is concerned the lot still has road access if it is directly connected to the overpass. It's really up to you if you feel happy with the realism or not. You could always lay another road coming off your main road just before the overpass and change the orientation of the lot.

    It will work, because for some cases the game reads paths as if they were 2D. In this case, it doesn't matter if the road is elevated or not. It still reads it as a flat road, and it will have road access...

    ... whether it will look good is another question.
