As you will no doubt know, the Maxis SC4 website shut down a long time ago, and with it went the Maxis tools and DLC landmarks.
The Maxis DLC landmarks were once available over on Screwpile Developments, but that no longer works. Also @MoofishPro made them available here, but the .ipb file means these cannot be installed on a Mac.
(Staff Note: This has now been fixed and was broken due to an error with the file submission, where the zip extension wasn't assigned. So this can also be a viable alternative to the landmarks as packaged here.)
You can find all of these by trawling the internet and various SC4 forums. But, in this simple .zip file, I've compiled the .dat files for all 29 Maxis DLC Landmarks.
Unzip Place the entire folder into your SC4 Plugins folder Done
63 Building Adler Planetarium Air Force Base (actually a Civic Reward, not a landmark) Arc de Triomphe Brandenburg Gate Capitol Records Globe Arena Grand Central Station Grutze Industries Grutzehaus Kunjungjon Living Mall Longfellow Castle Lucky's Hang Ten Mayflower Port Nam Dae Moon (a.k.a. Sungre Mun) Parthenon Rockerfeller Center San Francisco City Hall Schloss Schoenbrun Shorty Burger Seoul City Hall Seoul Soccer Stadium Sobchak Lanes Stone House (a.k.a. Ian's House of Stone and Wood) Stonehenge Taipei Art Museum Temple Expiatiori de la Sagrada Familia Temple of Grutz
As far as I can see, this is compatible with the 'AllInOne.dat' file from @toroca's Functional Landmarks mod.
Hey there everyone.
Just found out about this new airport building game (in actual 3d) which is looking very promising so far:
I'm personally very excited about this game, wishing the crew from Lithuania the best of luck becoming the next Colossal Order.
Here is there forum, it's not too active, but they do reply on occasion. http://www.realwelders.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=3
I'm sorry, is there a duplicate?
from "a popular TBG".
this is like Corrupt-A-Wish, except we share a single wish, and it must be un-corruptable. first, a person posts a wish, the next person gets to corrupt it. then, the next poster modifies the wish so it is immune to the corruption above. if you want to corrupt it, but you don't have ideas, you say it is not corruptable.
You cannot change the base wish. If you say "I wish I was good at RHW", you can't change it to "I wish I was good at region-building". However, you can only say "I wish I was good at RHW that doesn't limit me to RHW-4", if the pervious corruption said "Granted. You can only use RHW-4". Your corruption must be relevant to the wish. If it says "I wish I was good at RHW", you cannot say "Granted. It is impossible to build a region" Your modified wish should keep the previous corruptions from happening. e.g: "I wish I was good at RHW that doesn't limit me to RHW-4 and it is updated to the latest NAM and latest version", you cannot say it is corrupted: "Granted. You're using NAM 1" and "Granted. You have the first version" The specific corruptions "Granted, but it's only [small percentage - e.g. 0.0001%] more/faster/stronger/etc", "Granted but only for [small amount of time - e.g. 0.0001 milliseconds]", and "Granted, but in a parallel universe" are not allowed because they are unimaginative and could apply to anything Be imaginative. Don't repeat previous wishes. The 2-post rule applies here. And we start this TBG-inspired game with this wish!
I wish I was good at RHW.
Let's play a new game, a mix between a Show Us thread and a typical forum game.
The first user posts an image of a city of their own, made on any city-building game (or even on another game that allows cities to be built), asking what the next person would fix or change on the image, with the idea of improving some aspect of it, to make it more functional, realistic, beautiful or fun. The next user has to propose a fix briefly, in no more than 7-10 lines (or in no more than 5 lines if including an image). The proposal has to be civil and constructive (even if literally consists on demolishing some structure). Remember that everybody is always learning and has the right to make errors. To finish their post, the next user has to include their own image of their city, to be fixed by the next user. If an image stays unfixed by five (5) days in a row, it will be considered as un-improvable, and the user will have won the round. Any other user could add their own image to restart the game. ____________________
To start, I'll put an old image of mine, even if that tile isn't active anymore. I choose it because that tile was super buggy and I had to remade it several times, so I'm curious of how much we'll coincide on this.
So, what would you fix on this image?
