Well, I hope you are able to attract some people willing to do some BATs for Istanbul.

@TheAthenian: I used to know a fellow named Eleftherios when I was in college, but he was from Cyprus. 'Freedom' an interesting name. Lost track of him long ago. I think he went back to Cyprus.

The photos of Istanbul are very good.

Of course, you could learn to do your own BAT lots. An interesting learning curve.

Its so hard dude u know. I hope so too..

Having completed the necessary learning curve at about age 65, I found it not that difficult, just picky. Take it one step at a time, with some good relaxation in between and you will get there. The best tutorial is "BAT Essentials" which is in the Omnibus.

God willing, you will survive even this.

Which 'they' do you have in mind. Istanbul is one of the oldest and most historic cities in the world. It ranks with Jerusalem, Medina, and Mecca for being thousands of years old. There has been a settlement on the Bosporus of one kind or another recorded from the time of the Trojans and even before. Being in what was disputed territory since the fall of the Roman Empire, perhaps it is not thought of as civilized, but many of us know better. A beautiful city, and if I remember right, a very modern one. How is the train service across the strait these days?

The transit map doesn't show the link across the Bosporus. I saw a TV special on it several months ago. Was it ever completed? It was in huge concrete bunkers underwater.
