Can't bulldoze lot

I have a problem with a lot that just wont go away. Its the letter H from the make your own sign lots. When i bulldozed it the lot didnt go away. It seems to the game its gone in one way, becouse i can no longer use the query tool on it. However, its still their visually and i can not plop anything on the lot becouse the game says the land is reserved/used.

Does anyone know how i could do to remove it.

Ive tried putting the same lots around it and bulldozing all of them, ive also tried the "catastrophy" tools (volcano, robots etc).

What would happen if i removed the plugin from my pluginsfolder in this instance?

Screenshot of the problem:

I've had a problem with this before, where "ghosts" of a lot are left over and are seen, but not actually there.

I'd reccomend taking it out of your plugins folder, loading, saving, then putting it back in (if you still want it).

But don't forget to backup, removing stuff from your plugins after you've built them can make your cities corrupt.

Try using the "dezone" tool from any of the three zones - sometimes that works.....

I removed the plugin and started up the game. The only advantage is that the model itself is gone (the H), but the lot is still "reserved" and the base is left. I still cant bulldoze it. I guess il keep playing like this for the time being, as i dont see that the situation will change.

I searched the forum on the topic and found something about a "land eraser" or "landfill eraser", does anyone know where i can get hold of that?

aking88, have you tried raising or lowering the land that the lot is on using the mayor terraforming tools?

Aking88, I had this same problem last night and I used the Industry dezone, that worked in my case (although the res dezone didn't) so try the I dezone....  Good Luck!

No...the problem has been encountered before and it had something to do with overhanging lot edges or something. Anyway, the solution was that if you surround the problem lot with the same lot you can then bulldoze all of them. I think you only need to place one above below and on either side to work right.

Ohhhh, I hate those. They just won't go away! Oh, and don't drag highways over lots, the same thing will happen. The only way to get rid of it is to blow up your city.

This is worth coming out of the dark forest to say...

Oh great normac, thank you for your help! In my many years of playing this game, I have never had any clue as to how to get rid of buildings that wouldn't demolish on their own. The only solution that I thought existed was to blow up the city and start over like Goldfish suggested. Just recently, I plopped a library that I could not get rid of until I tried what you said. Thank you.

I've had this happen before with BSC Farm lots...Try zoning over it with one of the types of zones, then buldoze the lot (drag corner to corner rather than just clicking). Now go back and dezone over it.

Also try replacing the lot that was there, then dezone and buldoze.

Also, dirty little trick, but it works, try using some of the terraforming tools. If you get a massive slope on it, you can sometimes get rid of it, also sometimes putting it under water.

David1314, That is exactly what I did and It worked to PERFECTION. I had the Maxis Ferry terminal Lot that no matter how many times i ill bulldoze it It just wouldnt go away. I had placed the lot in an Unzoned area. So what I did was I zoned it with commercial (make sure the whole lot is covered) and then I bulldozed it and it went away. THANK YOU ALL YOU GUYS FOR YOUR HELP.
