ky72x: I give it a 6/10. The skyline and night lighting look good, but the river could use some work. I'd suggest checking the STEX for some sea walls (they're many variaties, but I'd first look for marrast's sea walls), they would really add some life to your river front.

pikatchoum: I'd say that deserves a 9.5/10. That's certainly a very beautiful European style city, and I love the terraced stairs heading up to the church. Excellent work!

Thanks for all your comments!  I'll try improving the river!  9.gif

That's the NDEX Atom Blue tower. It's like my version of the stratosphere in my city. And I never said it was Las Vegas. But the city does have a "strip"

    oasisoverview1.jpg

DOn't mind the numbers, but you can see the avenue in the center of the picture. It's divided into two parts by those NDEX palm trees. If you've downloaded this lot, you'd know what I mean.

sepsis: 9/10 Nice border crossing, and excellent use of custom lots.  I love the congested atmosphere you gave it, reminds me of the pictures that I've seen of the Mexican/US border crossings.

SpecialEddie (1st picture): 7.5/10  Great job on creating a nice tropical dessert feel, and good variaty of buildings in that picture.

SpecialEddie (2nd picture): 9.5/10  6.gif Wow, that is one of the best Vegas type cities that I've seen yet!  Great looking hotels, and "strip," especially with the palm trees running down the middle.  Also, I really like whichever hotel/resort is at number 8, that's a very creative use for the Arabian canal set!  Excellent work, is this where your cj is heading?

SpecialEddie: You get 9/10 from me for both pictures due to the well constructed buildings and graphics.

Pointless walkways?! It's a socialist nation--the plazas and walkways are always pointless. It's an amazing image. European cities are often repetative. 9.5/10 for sepsis.

Tropics of Haalu gets 9 from me. 10.gif

ANd why the hell does this thread only have 1 star? I guess it's because of the n00bs that lost their confidence in this highly-critical thread. If your city isn't visually apealing, don't post in this thread, since this has probably got to be the thread where the toughest critics review your pictures. I haven't seen anyone get a 10, I think.

Unlike in other threads, where people just go: "good job, man" this thread takes it to a deeper level by giving a number grade and adding advice.

So, if your picture got a really bad rating...doesn't mean you have to give this thread one.

^ Its available on the STEX (Simtropolis EXchange), search for marrast (he created it).

sepsis: 9/10 As the others have said, you really captured the socialist feel in that picture. The parks and the European row homes/bussineses look really nice also. Great work!

ThePeoplePerson: 9.5/10 I remember that mosaic from your cj, and I am just as blown away at your city building talent now as I was when I first saw it. Thats certainly a very beautiful beach, with nice tropical flora and some photoshop added to the mix. Excellent picture!

    Riptide- Good work, 7/10

This is a very simple pic I took from a neighborhood in Abbeville.  It consists of a popular tourist spot Captain Jack's seafood  restaurant and the exclusive La Salle Yacht Club.  The main reason I posted this paticular pic is because you guys are offering true honest criticism and I wanted feedback on how real my coastline looked.  I would like to think I have come a long way in the year or so I have been playing, if you like I can post more. Thanks in advance.
