About This File

This mod adds the roads with only stop signs at the intersections.  

 

Features:

- High Density Street and Medium Density Street with no traffic lights.

- High Density Avenue and Medium Density Avenue with no traffic lights (version 1.1).

- High Density Streetcar Avenue with no traffic lights (version 1.2).

- Major roads and Secondary roads.

- Cars pass pedestrians at the intersections.

- You can add the traffic lights using "Road Upgrade" and remove them again according to your wishes (see screenshot below).

You should save the game after creation of region and restart the game, so you can upgrade the ordinary roads to the roads with no traffic lights.

 

This mod can help to reduce traffic congestion in the city. 

You need to place a road in a value "a secondary road" at first and then a road in a value "a major road" (It doesn't matter when the road crosses the Avenue).

 

When you use this mod with the Project Akar by Yayie (http://bit.ly/1ooMyA4), you can find these roads in "Custom Roads".

Thanks to Yayie for assistance in preparing update 1.3 and Banwashere for preparation of icons in update 1.4.

 

THIS IS AN OFFLINE-ONLY MOD.

 

How to install: 

Unzip the files, copy and paste the .package files into your SimCityData folder.

 

Regional Roads With No Traffic Lights should be used ONLY WITH the main mod "Roads With No Traffic Lights".

Yes as you can see in the above file list it is the newest and I have tested subways that have the same problem

I can't connect the rail to the station. It won't snap to the connection. And like the others, the rail won't bulldoze after it's been placed.

Other than that, I really like your mod - it is great at solving traffic problems, and I don't want to play without it.
 
I hope you can figure this out. And thanks for your hard work.

Even with 1.2 update, I can NOT buldoze The Elevated Rail Tracks. The maglev is fixed.

The problem is that the mod works for some users (as you can see by the comments aboveand it doesn't work for others . This is really the problem.

I can't connect the rail to the station. It won't snap to the connection. And like the others, the rail won't bulldoze after it's been placed.

Thank you for the graphic illustration of the problem. Does it appear when you use ONLY ordinary roads and without Regional Roads Mod? Or always?

The issue is with the EL train not RWNTL. Remove that and it should work if you have the correct "load order" which I can provide if needed.

I agree with Blackkatt all works fine WITHOUT El train... Great work to date to all you guy's n gal's who have hung in there to fix all these conflicting mods....Great work and I Thank You!!!

@MaxvSk - I've tried each combination: "Roads With No Traffic Lights" with "Roads With No Traffic Lights (Regional)", and "Roads With No Traffic Lights" without "Roads With No Traffic Lights (Regional)", and each separately without the other. No joy.

FYI - I also looked at Udon and Bi-Level streets (which use that blue-line, blue and green circle Maglev device for connections (I'm sure there's a technical name for it but I don't know what it is)) - there's no conflict between your mod and their's, as far as I can tell, it's only between your's and the Maglev and El-train.

I recently picked up this Mod along with a bunch of others through Skye Storme's Mod Pack.  Found here: http://skyestorme.com/skyepack-mod-pack/

After playing for awhile, I ran into a problem.  My MegaTowers weren't getting any water or power from level 4 on.  Additionally, if I tried to connect roads to the sides of the towers, the road ends wouldn't snap together.  Not only that, but if I tried to delete the MegaTower, the roads remained behind and could NOT be bulldozed.

I underwent a great deal of testing to try and isolate the problem.  In the end I discovered there are, in total, 5 mods that don't work when combined together.  This is one.  The other files are:

I also tried the most recent version of RWNTL, instead of the one that came in the pack, and the problem was still present.  Additionally, the Regional version of this mod does NOT create any problems.  It is ONLY the in-town version that causes the problem.

At first I thought it was the first 2 not working with the other 2.  But I found that if I removed all the other mods and left all four in place, the MegaTowers worked fine.  That's when I realized that there was another mod causing problems.

After undergoing even more testing, I isolated Roads With No Traffic Lights as the real culprit.  This mod does work in combination with some of the above files, but not with all of them.  In summary, this is what I came up with:

RWNTL + UniDirectionalNetworks + UDoN = No problem.
RWNTL + PedestrianPath + MaglevAsSubway = No problem.
All 4 of the files - RWNTL = No problem.

RWNTL + All 4 other files = Broken MegaTower

Hi, I downloaded the latest Mod and I encountered an issue with the functional road guide. Whenever I have this mod installed the (functional) road guides would not show up anymore, instead it goes back to normal. I'm not quite sure if I need 1 more mod to make both work so any help would be appreciated. Thanks for the mods btw. I do love em!

Break the MegaTowers how?

There's some pictures in the link to my original Forum post.  But in short, the power and water don't flow to levels 4-8 of the mega towers.  Works fine for 1-3, but not the rest.  Traffic also seems to fly through the air, going from the road in front of the building, and flying up to the level that is their destination.  Or... something like that.

There are also people floating in mid air, walking in and out of their destination floors.

Another issue is roads won't snap to the internal roads on the sides of the towers.

The final issue is that if you try and delete the mega tower, it leaves behind the internal roads.  Those roads can't be destroyed, and you can't place anything back on top of them.

So yeah, it's a pretty drastic problem with the mega towers.  I understand if the problem hasn't been identified.  I know it's tough with this kind of thing.  Perhaps the information I provided might be useful.  Otherwise, users can pick and choose which combination of mods they want to use, so they don't clash with each other.

If you're having problems with uninstalling this mod, make sure you get EVERY road that you "upgraded" to no trafic lights. Then you'll get no crash upon entering the region again.

Interesting... too bad that it is quite unrealistic that cars merges with each other at intersections because basically you don't have a collision system in Simcity 2013 thus no accidents at all.
