  1. STEX 20K File Quantum Dish SC4 Lot

    This is my contribution to the STEX 20K file mark.   Its just a simple landmark file of the Maxis Quantum Dish.   Plop it in appreciation of all the files that came before.

    This download now has 3 versions of the Quantum Dish. The original is the 1x1 Landmark found at the top of the LM menu. The LM is a functional industrial lot (stats below).   The 2nd version is a 1x1 (non-functional) Park found in the Parks Menu.   The Park lot can be used to place anywhere on a map without needing road and power connections and will not dilapidate.    The LM and Park lots are identical but can be differentiated by clicking on the lot with the query tool. 
    The stats for the 1x1 Park lot are the same as for the Open Grass Area park with light park effect and negligible pollution.
    On the morning of February 10, 2017 I noticed the counter was at 19,999 and I had been working on making a functional landmark from the Maxis Quantum Dish.  I quickly threw together a zip-file to upload so I could claim the fame of having the 20,000th upload to the STEX.    I've further developed this download, adding 2 more Quantum Dish lots and a Simtropolis lamp-post sign. 
    The 13x2 Simtropolis Lamp-post sign is a hand-printed souvenir for fans and colleagues of Simtropolis.  It is found in the Parks menu.
    Quantum Dish 3x3 Network Roundabout
    This lot is lavishly gardened and lit with lamps.  Each side of the lot is connected to the street network so cars will pass through and drive around the roundabout.  The street overlay textures are included in the folder with the lot.  These may be used in other lots but references to the textures should be maintained to prevent duplicate loading of the textures.  If another lot uses the textures a message should be included instructing to delete multiples of the same .dat file.

  2. MGB - Mattb325 Max's Microchips ReLot

    This package contains a ReLot for the 6x6 version of Mattb325's reimagined Max's Microchips building.
    When Matt released some new I-HT buildings earlier this year, this one in particular stood out for me as one great looking model. As such I couldn't help but go full on with re-designing the lot. Of course, when you do such things, you tend to use a lot of dependencies. So one lot it may be (download), but prepare for the full list of dependencies, it's not for everyone. Frankly if you don't have all Girafe's flora, you're missing out anyhow. Aside from that it's really just 2 dependencies if you think about it .
    The lot in the download is a direct replacement for the 6x6 version from Mattb325's package. Otherwise you need to keep the other files from the original download installed.

    Note: Options for EU/US, LHD/RHD and custom sidewalks are all included. Please read the Readme file for full details. Installing the complete package will lead to problems, you have been warned. Usage
    This 6x6 lot is best placed on a corner as seen in the screenshot. You can use the BuildingPlop cheat to place it where ever you like, or just allow it to grow normally. If plopping the lot, note it will not generate freight and you should have suitable I-HT demand to accommodate the lot.
    The street connection is not TE (Transit Enabled), instead you must make a fake TE connection using the RHW disconnecter or NAM Rail Viaduct features. See this video (YouTube) for more complete instructions on how:

    1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW
     
    Enough with the pharmaceutical stuff - let's get back to some plain old high-tech again, shall we?
    In the case of the twelfth upload in this series, SC4Tech Factory by SimGoober, the "old" in "plain old high-tech" can be taken literally, because the original BAT dates back to 2005. While it's not the most spectacular building at a first glance, it does have some nice details such as the little rooftop terrace and the illuminated interior in night view. Since it's more or less a corner building, I chose to lot it in two different orientations and make two rather different lots for it, both rather open and not surrounded by fences to encourage the formation of coherent industrial compounds - and/or the use of filler lots, of course!
    Since all Maxis lots contained in the IRM Base Pack could optionally be used with toroca's Industrial Jobs Quadrupler, this download is offered in two versions: a regular one for those who prefer the default job numbers, and a quadrupler-compatible version for those who prefer using the modified stats.
    The .sc4desc files for the regular version will look like this: IRM_[Filename].sc4desc
    The .sc4desc files for the quadrupler version will look like this: IRM_[Filename]_x4.sc4desc
    After downloading, simply delete the file of the version you don't want to use. If you leave both in your plugins, the quadrupler version will most probably override the default version.
    The default version of the building will provide 50 I-HT jobs, the quadrupler version 200 I-HT jobs.
    The following lots are included in this download: 4x6, Stage 2 5x5, Stage 2 For those of you who like to play with day and night view, the building used on this lot is compatible with the following night light mode(s):

    2 - USE
     
    If you extract this archive to your root plugins folder, it should create a folder IRM\IRM Expansion\[NAME OF BAT], where [NAME OF BAT] represents the name of this download item. Within that folder, you will find all the game-relevant files and a sub-folder containing the HTML readme and some screenshot(s).
     
    If you no longer wish to use this download, proceed as follows:
    Bulldoze all lots pertaining to this download Save all the cities and exit the game when you're done bulldozing Remove the associated files from your plugins folder Hint: Just to be sure, I recommend moving the undesired files somewhere else and doing some checks before you delete them permanently. This way, if it turns out you forgot to bulldoze something, you can add it back in temporarily until you're done.
     
     
    3 - DEPENDENCIES
     
    IRM Base Pack with all its dependencies - while these lots will technically work, they are meant to tie into the IRM. They may look out of place and show unexpected behaviour if used independently. Since this is an extension to the IRM, all the dependencies of the original pack still apply. If you have them in place, you can download every single growable IRM and IRM W2W lot I have ever made and will never have to download any additional packs for props and textures used on the lot. SC4Tech Factory - you'll also need the original upload of the BAT to see the building(s). Only the .sc4model file is required. NOTE: For any dependency hosted at SC4Devotion (SC4D in short), you must be registered on that site and logged into the site's download area, the BSC File Exchange, in order to see the download button. Please bear in mind that there are separate logins for the forums and for the file exchange. For those of you who may still be unfamiliar with the site: SC4D is another major SimCity community with lots of unique content, so you will not regret making an account there.

  4. Bipin Concrete Walls

    @Bipin requested I upload these concrete retaining walls as he no longer has access to the files. These walls are solely the creative output of Bipin and I take no credit whatsoever nor assume responsibility for them. 
    Please bear in mind these walls were never released as a 'final version' and should be considered a test/draft version and treated as such by members.
    The walls contain a variety of retaining wall pieces as you can see from the images. I have only tested them with 10, 12 and 14 metre-high embankments and as you can see from the image the 'boutiques' entrance is best suited to use at 10m. Placing the corners can take a bit of trial and error so be patient, remember these are not a final release. 
    Walls should appear in the Misc Transport menu
    Redistribution of these files is forbidden without the express permission of @Bipin

  5. Kogyo Waste Services

    I present to you Kogyo Waste Services, a neat little waste-handling company. If you need some trash gone, you know who to call....
    ---
    KWS is a fully-batted building/lot combo that fills a 3x3 I-D lot. It can help break up the monotony with its characteristic yellow roof and parking lot filled with yellow trucks. The building is a partially accurate rendition of this small industrial building in Osaka:

    Maxisnite and Darknite are both supported, and the bat features TruNite lights. Download the appropriate version depending on whether you use SimFox's Day and Nite Mod (or an equivalent) or not.
    -Installation: Simply unzip the the downloaded .zip file into your plugins folder. The aren't any extraneous files in the folder (like images) so you don't have to worry about deleting anything.
    -Building Plop: The building is listed as MM_JPN_ID_3x3_KogyoWaste in the Building Plop window. This requires Buggi's Extra Cheats DLL. Keep in mind that plopped industrial buildings will not generate freight truck automata.

    The last few buildings have been pharmaceutical factories that produce drugs to get rid of intangible things such as pain (Alka Seltzer) or any care you may otherwise be tempted to give even though you'd rather not (Fukitol). What about getting rid of something physical, though?
    Enter the eleventh upload in this series, EZ Flo Laxatives by SimGoober. I'm not sure if it's the famous Intergalactic Laxative that Donovan sung about in 1973 and if EZFlo will, in fact, take you from here to SimMars.
    What I do know is that the building struck me as rather interesting due to the hangar shape of the main structure and the partly separate loading facility. I chose to accompany it by two lots, one being pretty much a sea of conrete and the other a more closed design with more greenery.
    Since all Maxis lots contained in the IRM Base Pack could optionally be used with toroca's Industrial Jobs Quadrupler, this download is offered in two versions: a regular one for those who prefer the default job numbers, and a quadrupler-compatible version for those who prefer using the modified stats.

    While the Fukitol franchise has been covered with the recent releases, let's not forget that SimGoober also BATted ficticious facilities for real-life drugs...
    The tenth upload in this series is Alka Seltzer Factory by SimGoober. I love how the pills above the entrance already hint at its pharmaceutical purpose, and even the whitish colour scheme reminds both of clinical environments and of the active substance itself. The smaller lot features a footpath that leads from the entrance area to the back, whereas the bigger lot comes with a more spacious loading area and an irregularly shaped little "island" with a nice little break area featuring some tables and umbrellas by a little pond - gotta do something to keep those highly skilled employees happy!
    Since all Maxis lots contained in the IRM Base Pack could optionally be used with toroca's Industrial Jobs Quadrupler, this download is offered in two versions: a regular one for those who prefer the default job numbers, and a quadrupler-compatible version for those who prefer using the modified stats.

    4) SM2 Power Substation - 3x6 lot - no power output (eye candy, to be used with SM2 Wind Power Marine lots)

    5) SM2 Substation Transfer Box - 1x1 overhanging lot used to simulate underground connection to Maxis power pylons.
    I created custom icons for the 3 powered ones. Many timed props are also included.

  9. SM2 Marine Wind Power

    SM2 Marine Wind Power .

    You will find 2 lots in this pack

    1) The Wind Turbine is to be plopped on water.

    2) The buoy is to be plopped on water, from the Wind Turbine field to the shore.

    The buoy acts as a power transmission lot. It will light up at night if powered. Turn on your power grid and plop the buoys in a row. Watch the green power grid make the connection. Once satisfied, turn the power grid off.

    Each Wind Turbine will output 1800 units of power. By plopping a few of them you can enjoy unlimited green power!!

    I have created a specific Power Substation lot which can be found in my SM2 Power Pack. Plop it on shore for a seamless power grid.

    1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW
     
    Last in the GooberGen/Fukitol series for now, we finally come to the home of the famous pill.
    The ninth upload in this series is Fukitol Pharms by SimGoober. It's a pretty huge building with a non-rectangular footprint and some footpaths baked into the model. I tried my best to make sure the lots wrap naturally around the building, and I made footpaths leading around the main structure that hopefully look like logical extensions of the ones that came with the model. Cycledogg's wonderful shaded props once again make an impressive appearance here, too.
    Since all Maxis lots contained in the IRM Base Pack could optionally be used with toroca's Industrial Jobs Quadrupler, this download is offered in two versions: a regular one for those who prefer the default job numbers, and a quadrupler-compatible version for those who prefer using the modified stats.

    Maxis Night with gradual day/night cycle: YES Maxis Night with static day or night: YES DarkNite* with static day or night: YES *DarkNite requires SimFox' Day and Nite Modd (or a similar darkening mod) to be installed in your plugins. 

    2 - USE
     
    If you extract this archive to your root plugins folder, it should create a folder IRM\IRM Expansion\[NAME OF BAT], where [NAME OF BAT] represents the name of this download item. Within that folder, you will find all the game-relevant files and a sub-folder containing the HTML readme and some screenshot(s).
     
    If you no longer wish to use this download, proceed as follows:
    Bulldoze all lots pertaining to this download Save all the cities and exit the game when you're done bulldozing Remove the associated files from your plugins folder Hint: Just to be sure, I recommend moving the undesired files somewhere else and doing some checks before you delete them permanently. This way, if it turns out you forgot to bulldoze something, you can add it back in temporarily until you're done.
     
     
    3 - DEPENDENCIES
     
    IRM Base Pack with all its dependencies - while these lots will technically work, they are meant to tie into the IRM. They may look out of place and show unexpected behaviour if used independently. Since this is an extension to the IRM, all the dependencies of the original pack still apply. If you have them in place, you can download every single growable IRM and IRM W2W lot I have ever made and will never have to download any additional packs for props and textures used on the lot. Fukitol Pharms HT - you'll also need the original upload of the BAT to see the building(s). Only the .sc4model file is required. NOTE: For any dependency hosted at SC4Devotion (SC4D in short), you must be registered on that site and logged into the site's download area, the BSC File Exchange, in order to see the download button. Please bear in mind that there are separate logins for the forums and for the file exchange. For those of you who may still be unfamiliar with the site: SC4D is another major SimCity community with lots of unique content, so you will not regret making an account there.

    The mall itself is made of three lots that combine to make one massive lot. When combined lots #1 and #2 take a space of 20x22 tiles with an additional 7x21 tiles needed for lot #3. Also included to fill in the gap is a 1x1 lot full of Maxis trees.

    Those three 2x2 plazas are not that exotic, but I wanted a less longer name then the original ! They just needed a bit of greenery, in my opinion. They can be used alone or combined.

    The io_bg-EBLT’s originals are splendid by themselves, in their use of the beautiful NDEX Konietzko Fountain. I use them extensively (and I am not the only one ! You may soon find more of them relotted on the STEX). I too thought they could do with a little modern TLC. As I fell in love with their base texture I used it in many of my other plazas, so I added a little 1x1 to link them if desired.

  17. RRetail Misc Entertainment Relots Pack Two

    Thanks to the idea of relotting a few stadiums by @jaredh, I was inspired to accomplish another entertainment pack.
    While most of the relots included are sports based, I did also include a relot of the BLAM variation of Chuck E Cheese's.
    Most of the lots will appear in the landmark menu while the swimming pools in this pack will all be found in the parks menu. Others may require lotplop.

    I love parks, plazas, green spaces, even treed parking lots, anything that will let a cityscape breathe, by day or by night. Over the years I collected a lot of them, with a dozen loved one I always find myself going back to. But at some point, playing in night mod, I noticed that many of them were not lit, or not enough for my taste. Ditto for too many sport parks. I don’t want my peeps to be mugged when taking a stroll in a park or playing catch with the kids ! So I decided to learn how to light stuff. Among other things. So here is the very first park I lotted, (as any new modder would...) when I was hopped up on textures. There will be others. I thought it was time to add to our collective collection. 
    Depending on your using or not a Light Replacement Mod, the lighting will be slightly different, but There Will Be Light. (If using LRM and finding your own lights too dim, take out zLightCones_RVTNite.dat). The lot and its 1x1 addon (to extend the paths if desired) should show up at the beginning of the Park menu, or somewhere thereabout – menu order is also player-dependent.

  21. RRetail Restaurant Relots Pack Nine

    The final restaurant relot pack that I plan on doing at this time. Included are a mix of generic restaurants along with two pizza chains that didn't make the cut in pack eight.  Because the BLAM Doug's Donuts included both a police building and commercial building, I did the police version as a small 1x2 shop where as the commercial version gets a parking lot on a 3x2 lot. 
    For DK1's diners, only keep the model and desc files for these three diners:
    Max's Grill Old Diner Rick's Cafe A prop file needed for my relot of BLAM Dunkin Donuts is also included. A special thanks to @nos.17 for helping me out with that.

  22. Tariel Chestnut Park 3x3

    Second Park. Still hopped on textures. But trying new stuff...
    Many thanks to my technical gurus, rsc204, kosc and dreadnought. And especially rivit, who lighted my SC4world. Also the willing victims of the beta-tests, robertLM78, handyman and, again, dreadnought. And the guys and gals on the forums (twalsh, matias93, fantozzi…). We need help when we begin sneaking a peek under the hood of SC4. That the community is always willing to help is a constant and pleasant comfort for us noobies.
    Depending on your using or not a Light Replacement Mod, the lighting will be slightly different, but There Will Be Light. (If using LRM and finding your own lights too dim, take out zLightCones_RVTNite.dat).
     The lot and its 1x1 addons (to extend the paths if desired) should show up at the beginning of the Park menu, or somewhere thereabout – menu order is also player-dependent.
     Last but not least, this is for SC4 Rush Hours

    Hi Everyone,
    My third creation. The Opus Néoi Station is a complete fantasy functional train station for your high speed rail network.
    Capacity is set to 75'000 passengers. No night lighting again, sorry!

  25. MGB - RDP Starter Lots

    This download contains five starter lots which can be used with my Rail Depot Pack (RDP).
    Two small 8x3 (GLR/Rail) and 3 large (GLR/Rail/HSR) lots are included. All lots are Network-Enabled for the correct transit types. Large lots also include a road connection for access to the lot. All lots require Electricity, Water and Road Access, plus provide a small number of jobs. For full details of Lot Properties, see the included readme file. Find them towards the end of your Misc. Transit menu.
    These depot lots utilise the features in RDP as follows:
    Automata Props - These lots will show your installed automata upon them. Timing is used to change the trains throughout the day. Compatible with all RDP texture options. Select your style during install of RDP. Additionally there are three styles of lots, allowing support for the following Catenary options:
    Plundere's Catenaries - Requires additional dependency Plundere's Catenary Essentials Rivit's Reskin of the above - Requires RUM for RRW German-style Catenaries - Additionally Requires SFBT Lichtsignale & Oberleitungen Props.
    Note: Only the large lots are supported for this style. No Catenaries It is possible to mix and match between these options, but you can only use one of each lot.

    MGB Rail Depot Pack (RDP) BSC BAT Props - T1 Vol2 BSCMegaProps JES Vol01 BSCMegaProps JES Vol03 Network Addon Mod SHK Parking Pack HSR Lot Only:

    Limitations of linked-Automata props
    By utilising the resources inside my RDP dependency, these lots are able to show the installed automata upon them. Whatever automata you are using will appear, but in some cases they may not appear to fit together properly. There is simply too much variation out there to support every possible setup. In an attempt to make them as compatible as possible, I've based them off the fantastic automata made by Vester. This is because it offers such a wide variety of trains that I can verify will look as intended when used with these lots. The following automata packs have been tested to work with these lots:

    VDK GLR Train Mods Vol 4 Passenger Trains:
    VDK Japanese Train Mods Vol 05
    VDK Train Mods Vol 06, Super Express Trains

    VDK Train Mods Vol 7 - HSR Of course, the option exists to simply move the props as required using the Lot Editor, where results with other automata are not ideal. You are also totally free to modify these lots and release them. They have been lotted/modded to provide great functionality whilst keeping dependencies small. I'm sure some out there can create much better looking lots than I, but all the difficult modding is done for you this way.
