  1. PEG CDK3 SP Container Seaport

The CDK3-SP Container Seaport is a functional seaport that directly replaces the game's default seaport. This is the first and core piece of a series of CDK3 Seaport (CDK3-SP) modular lots that will allow you to build & expand your seaport area, both functionally & visually, to almost any size and the way you want it to be. An associated, functional Container Freight Rail Yard is also under development.
This Seaport lot has all the same properties, capacities and costs of the game-default seaport.  The lot is a different size (10x5)  so any instances of the game default seaport in your cities will have to be replaced. However, the good news on that is that the old seaports will remain functional until you get around to replacing them. You do not have to bulldoze them all before installing the new Seaport.

    IMPORTANT
Due to the limiting nature of the common seaport controller file used by all functional seaport lots, no other custom seaport lots, seaport mods or seaport controller files can be used with this seaport. The only exceptions are the PEG CSK2 Small Port... and an additional CDK3-SP "Break-Bulk" Freight Seaport that is under development.  Please read the included readme file for full details.

The new Seaport lot uses a gazillion new custom props and most of them are timed to change and/or move throughout the day. Ships arrive and depart twice a day. The booms of the large Post-Panamax cranes raise to allow easy clearance for the ships when arriving/departing... then lower to load & unload containers throughout the day. The yard crane switches from one staging area to another, the stacks of containers grow larger & smaller... and the rail and truck traffic change & move around.

    RAIL CAPACITY
Unlike the game default seaport, this new version allows a direct rail connection and can also receive freight by rail directly from Freight Stations or industry located adjacent to rail. This is accomplished by forcing the Seaport to also act as a Freight Station, converting rail freight to truck freight when it arrives.  Whereas the previous CDK Seaport version required that the lot be coded as a freight station, this new version does not. All the "mojo" is now handled in the transit enabling properties... which have also been streamlined to minimize associated traffic congestion.

** The lot is transit enabled for road connections to the driveways and a rail connection .  The lot must have road access in order to function properly but the driveways do not actually have to be connected. However, the rail must be connected to the lot for the rail connectivity to function.  Rail connectivity is optional. The Seaport will still function properly for truck traffic if you choose not to connect the rail.

*** The lot is located in the Water Transportation menu in place of the game-default Seaport icon.

  2. PEG OWW2 Right End

"Second verse... same as the first...". This lot is a dedicated Right-side End section for both the OWW2 and CDKM Marina. It visually closes off the seawall/boardwalk and rear parking area.   Its nearly identical to the Left-End lot but with a slightly different boardwalk. All properties are similar to the OWW2 1x Plaza lot.
For help creating the perfect terrain for CDK lots, we strongly recommend reading The Official CDK Tutorial.
** This lot requires the following dependencies  PEG-CDKM Marina

  3. PEG CDK3 MASTER SEAPORT CONTROLLER

The PEG CDK3-SP Master Seaport Controller Mod is the definitive, single source central seaport developer file for all PEG CDK3-SP seaport lots. If you use the PEG CDK3-SP Seaports & the vast selection of related seaport complex lots, you should install and use this file... and install no other common or central seaport controller mods or files.

    * This mod uses the archaic yet effective method of alphabetic file & folder naming to ensure that it is loaded last into the game and overwrites any and all conflicting files. Yet, it is still advisable to make sure you do not have any conflicting or non-supported seaport files installed to safeguard your cities from conflicts that could prevent you from being able to load them in the game.

All seaport lots share a common Seaport Developer file... which has complicated efforts to develop custom seaport lots for the game which, by default, only included functional support for a single seaport lot. Multiple developers, attempting to make multiple custom seaports lots, traditionally had no option but to develop custom seaports that excluded the use of custom seaport lots developed by others.

This new Master Seaport Controller mod overcomes all the previous limitations imposed by the game's default common Seaport Developer file. When installed properly, it will also override & correct any errant or non-compatible functionality data in any previously installed seaports lots that are supported by the mod.

This mod will be updated to include new seaport lots as they are developed... including non-PEG seaports created by other developers. Fortunately, its an extremely small file and the ZIP file installation will be a simple, semi-automated process of unzipping the file and allowing it to over write the previous version with the newer one.

    * The included readme.htm file documents the procedure to be followed by other developers who wish to have their custom seaport lots supported by this mod.

This is Version 1.05 of the Master Seaport Controller Mod and currently supports the following seaport lots:

    1. PEG CDK3-SP Container Seaport.

    2. PEG CDK3-SP Break-Bulk Seaport.

    3. PEG CSK2Canal Small Seaport

    4. SWAP Package Handling Center (a seaport lot contained in the airport add-on package, used as an airport freight facility)

    5. PEG CDK3-SP Pier Seaport

    * Addition seaport lots will supported and added as updates to this file.

Extremely Important: To avoid conflicts that could prevent you from being able to load your cities, you should NEVER use any other seaportmod or a seaport lot not listed above in any of your cities. It is highly recommended that you un-install any other seaport mod or non-supported seaport lot from your game. If you are unsure if you have any unsupported seaports installed, we strongly suggest that you first use any seaport lot in a new, blank test city to ensure that it functions properly. Plop the seaport, save the game & exit. Restart the game & reload the city. If the city loads without issue, then the seaport lot in question is okay to use in your other cities.

  4. PEGCDK Fire Dock

Adding value and function to the PEG CDK, this new waterfront Fire Station will provide fire protection for your city on land as well as at sea. With all the properties of a large fire station, this fully functional fire station covers a large area and has two fire engines that can be dispatched to fires.
Also serving as the home port for the SimCity Fire Department's historic fire boat S.C.F.D Tinkle... ... ...named after famous fire fighter John Tinkle, of course... this fire station continues the proud & historic tradition of going down to the sea with some really bad-ass fire fighting equipment!
This fire station was designed for use with the CDK Industrial style but works well with the Recreational style as well. It occupies a 5x2 sized lot, is transit enabled, and provides jobs in the same manner as other fire stations.
This lot has no external dependencies.

  5. PEG CDKOWW Seaport Village

Our first specialty lot for the new CDK Old Wooden Waterfront style is the classic Seaport Village. Commonly found in most commercial ports and harbors in one form or another, the nautical themed shopping area and tourist attraction is always a winning combination and popular with locals and tourists alike.
Our Seaport Village is a CS$$$ lot offering jobs and income from taxes. The city will need to fork out some cash to get it going but its a private enterprise and free to the city once built. This lot is designed for use  with the PEG-CDK OWW style lots... but can be used stand alone or with any of the other CDK style lots. It sits on a 6x3 tile lot, is transit enabled, and provides CS$$$ jobs and income from taxes.
The beautiful, large yacht is also privately owned and a source of great mystery. The word on the dock is that it's the private party yacht  of the Mayor but nobody seems to know for sure... or if they do, they're not talking. But whoever owns it is one lucky son-of-a-seadog, that's for sure.

This lot is the core piece of a series or add-on components in the works that will expand the Seaport Village into a much larger and ever-growing seaside shopping complex and tourist attraction. Add-on lots will be designed to expand The Village along the waterfront as well inland away from the water... so be sure to leave room in your cities.
This lot is designed for use  with the PEG-CDK OWW style lots... but can be used stand alone or with any of the other CDK style lots. It sits on a 6x3 tile lot, is transit enabled, and provides CS$$$ jobs and income from taxes.

There are two unique stats listed in the query; Postcards Sold This Month & Reported Seagull Bombings. The Postcards Sold value is dictated by the city's population. The larger the city... the more postcards that will sell. Seagull Bombings are influenced by the current Mayor Rating and you can use this to gauge your performance.. The higher the rating, the fewer the bombings. If  fewer than 25 bombings are reported, then you are doing a pretty good job..
**This lot requires the installation of the PEG CDK-OWW Development Kit Volume 1 &
PEG CDK-REC Prop Pack Volume 1 which are also available here at this site.

  6. PEG CDK3 Garbage Docks

The CDK3 Garbage dock (aka.. Sanitation Department Product Disposal Facility) uses a new cutting edge technology to get rid of your city's trash. Ok, ok... it actually uses an "over-the-edge" technology pioneered with the Pegadyne Garbage Chute. The garbage scows haul the trash out to "The Edge" and, like the chute, simply toss it over the side.
You can pretend that the scows are actually hauling the trash off to neighboring city, per some garbage deal you may have. Or you can even imagine that the trash to taken to a high-tech, state of the art & environmentally safe refuse elimination facility. But we all know they are just dumping it into the Abyss.
In order to keep the cost of disposing of your garbage as low as possible, the Sanitation Department has reduced overhead by eliminating unnecessary & expensive items...such as maintenance. This is most evident in the facility's four garbage scows, the S.S. POS... the S.S. Poo... the S.S. Tetanus... and the S.S. Chum.

The 2 lots (4x3 & 8x5) are functional garbage removal facilities... hybrids of a standard landfill and trash incinerator. They will appear in the Garbage Utilities Menu. Like the Garbage Chute, your city's garbage trucks will bring trash to them. The trucks will even drive slowly through the lot as if stopping to dump trash. Where a landfill stores your trash until it is filled up, these lots will hold it just long enough to dispose of it. The 4x3 lot disposes of 500 tons of trash per month... which is double the rate (and cost) of the Garbage Chute. The 8x5 lot, which also has a rail connection, disposes of 1,000 tons of trash per month.
If your city produces less than the capacities of these lots, then they will eliminate all of it. Otherwise, you will need more than one of these lots... or a landfill or trash deal to handle the excess. Use of recycling facilities and environmental ordinances can significantly reduce the amount of trash your city produces.
    * If you do not have adequate facilities to handle all of your city's trash, the excess will build up, eventually becoming visible in your city and greatly reduce wealth & desirability.
    About The Custom Query...
The lots contain a custom query that displays all of your city's garbage stats. Near the top, the number of tons of garbage the dock is processing is displayed. This figure is updated several times throughout the month, even when the query window is open.
The City Wide Stats displayed in the middle area of the query window are primarily the stats for the previous month as the stats only get calculated by the game at the end of each month. The Total Uncollected Garbage stat is also updated each month, but is not a monthly figure. It reflects the total amount of garbage in your city that you could not process in some manner. Keep an eye on this statistic. If it grows, you have a potential crisis on your hands and will need to expand your garbage processing capabilities. The ideal number for this stat is Zero!!
    * The Garbage Processed stat reflects all the garbage that was processed by any Waste to Energy plants, the Garbage Chutes and, of course, the Garbage Docks.
    * The Bodies Found statistic is a calculated indicator of the efficiency of your law enforcement.

  7. PEG CDK3 Algae Farm

Acme Algae... in operation since 1968 when, then Hippy, Alvin Aberrant read somewhere that the scum that kept forming on the top of his fish pond apparently had many commercial uses. Not one to pass up an opportunity to profit from a process involving no physical labor whatsoever, Alvin was off to the races and has become a leading supplier of pond scum... commercially know as Algae.

Very few consumers are actually aware of how much algae they consume & use on a daily basis. Algae, in one form or another, is a key ingredient in many consumers products. Brush your teeth... then spit & rinse away the algae. Wash your hair... then rinse and repeat out the algae. Its in your cosmetics, lotions, toiletries... and yes, even in your food.

Algae is a major ingredient in feeds for pets and livestock. Its also used in dyes... and as a major element in bio-filters that are used to scrub the CO2 out of factory and power plant smoke stacks. Algae has almost unlimited commercial uses... and more are being developed and discovered every day.

The Acme Algae facility uses a revolutionary new process (that I just made up) where powerful lights have been added to the inside of the tanks to increase the photosynthesis process to 24/7... and to allow the algae to grow throughout the tanks; not just at the surface. Obviously, this increases both the speed of the process and the resulting volume of product substantially.

The Acme Algae facility is a CDK3 ploppable lot with I-R (farming) jobs. The lot is located in the Water Transportation menu along with the other CDK3 lots. The single lot file contains all required custom material so the lot can be used without installing the CDK3.

** This lot has no external dependencies.

** This lot can be plopped on dry land and looks particularly good when plopped over-hanging a short cliff or slope.

  8. PEG CSK - Channel Stream Kit

Now you can extend your Streams with a more Urban look with this 'channelized' add-on for the PEG Stream Kit. Although technically an extension of the Stream Kit, these concrete lined channels evolved during development (feature creep) into their own, stand-alone mini-canal or channel system. They will merge seamlessly with the existing Streams but can also be used all by themselves. The new single tile wide Channels are a great way to have water flowing through your city without sacrificing a lot of real estate.
With the old and stained concrete look, they are grungy enough to look right at home in even the dirtiest industrial area. Yet, with the red tile wall caps, they have that old-world charm & Mediterranean styling that adds class to any residential or commercial area. Very flexible... with 2 styles of corners (square or round), a pedestrian bridge designed for use with the PEG Trail Park & Seasonal Trail Park, a roadway/network bridge and an extender lot to allow passage under elevated rail or highways, these channels can go almost anywhere. They are even mildly slope-tolerant and can traverse up/down smooth, modest slopes.
The kit also includes a Stream Transition lot for a seamless transition to & from the original Streams. Additional lots, including a waterfall and a lock, are being developed for the first add-on to the new style.
The individual lots retain a small taste of park & landmark benefits, however, their desirability values have been greatly reduced. They still provide a taste of the YIMBY, but they won't collectively blow out any caps. Their plop price has also been reduced significantly and maintenance averages $1 a lot/tile.
    * These lots have been relocated to the Water Transportation Menu for ease of use.
** The straight, 3x straight and straight Utility lots are slope tolerant and will allow the channels to flow down (or up) modest slopes.
*** All the channel lots fully cover the tile(s) of the lot... so there is no concern about matching adjacent terrain.

** The Channel Stream Kit has no dependencies.

  9. PEG CSK2 AddOn 1

Our first add-on pack for the new CSK2 is aptly named as its all about Crossing Over... and getting to the other side. This add-on contains 6 new lots that parrot the Bridge and Extender lots used in the PEG Pond Kit.
The Bridge Lots consists of a left, right and center bridge facade to be used along both sides of a row(s) of blank tiles that cross over the channels. You can then run road, rail, avenues, etc... across those blank tiles and the channel will appear to flow under it..
The Extender Lots work in a similar fashion for use with elevated networks such as monorails or the elevated highways. The extender lots are actually only 1x1 in size, but they also have an offset rendered BAT model that extends to cover a 2nd adjacent tile. This adjacent tile, although covered with the BAT model, is actual blank and therefore networks can run across it.
This lot requires the PEG CSK2

  10. PEG CSK Add on 3

We continue our Channel Stream Kit series with this latest add-on subtitled... Go With the Flow. This is a collection of 3 specialty waterfalls to add more variety & glitz to your channel systems while offering more options to allow them to flow down your city's terrain.
The Standard Spillway is very similar to the Stream Kit's original non-texture based waterfall and plops just like the CSK Lock & Waterfall lots. The Spillway is 3 tiles long and self adjusts to any height of slope within its range. As it is not texture-based, it will not stretch to cover extremely high slopes... but it does have a fairly adequate height range of approx. 32 meters.
The Ocean Spillway is a variation of the standard Spillway that can be used to run your channels into game water oceans or rivers. It is only 2 tiles long and plops just like the CSK Ocean Lock lot.
The Garden Waterfall is a unique variation designed to add a bit of eye-catching class to your cities. It has a particularly stunning effect when used where your canals descend into recreational & even commercial areas. Accordingly, it has an increased park & landmark effect equivalent to that of a large park & plaza. It is also night-lighted so your Sims can continue to enjoy it after the sun sets.
Unless your barge captains are adrenalin junkies, we would have to classify these waterfalls as non-navigatable. The spillway falls have warning signs and safety chains to stop channel traffic... and the garden falls could easily be classified as a Class 5 Whitewater adventure.
All 3 lots include a custom waterfall sound effect. They will appear in the Water Transportation Menu along with the other CSK lots. They also have plopping instructions included in the menu descriptions

  11. PEG CDKSV Random Shops

Our first add-on pack for the PEG CDK Seaport Village allows you to add more shops along the waterfront and expand your seaside commercial village to almost any size you want. The 1x wide lot randomly features one of 4 different Seaport Village styled shops that can be used stand alone or with other Seaport Village lots. For added versatility, these shops are two sided with storefronts front & rear... the waterfront on the front side and a plaza at the rear.
But wait... that's not all!!  Not only are the buildings random... but so are the business' and shops that occupy them. With a new random code routine, the shop names and description randomly change when the lot is queried. This sucker's so random we couldn't nail it down with a box of 16 pennies and maul!!
Still not enough? How 'bout if we throw in four extra lots which fixed versions of the 4 shops? The names and descriptions will still change but you can choose the shop type to plop for more direct control when creating your village.
You still want more? Man, yer tough!  Okay... how 'bout if we make them so they can be plopped together seamlessly to form larger shopping structures of any size? That's right! A build-your-own nautical shopping center as large as you want. Mix and match the shops, pack them together to form long shopping strips or break them apart to allow plenty of pedestrian access. The choice is yours... build it anyway you want!!
More? (sigh) Oh, get real!  Okay.. our final offer. If you haven't noticed from the pics above, these puppies can also be used with the PEG Pond & Stream Kits!!  That's right, Kiddo... if the sea ain't your bag or your city is landlocked, no problem!!. Build your village along a PEG river or lake or just add some streams & ponds along the village to give it that nautical theme. Just 'cause yer a land lubber doesn't mean that you should miss out on the fun.
Okay, so we got the Seaport Village Random Shop lot, with random shop names & descriptions, plus the 4 selectable shop lots, seamless collective modular plopping, and versatile ocean or inland PEG Pond plop capability... and, oh yeah, each shop employs up to 24 local folk and provides income from taxes. All for the low, low single payment price of one simple download!

  12. PEGCDK Fishermans Wharf

It just ain't a seaport without a Fisherman's Wharf !! The original Fisherman's Wharf returns having been rebuilt from the seabed up. This is a brand new lot and does not require removal of the original lot.
In any port area fortunate to have one, the Fisherman's Wharf is the focal point of all tourism as well as the central retail outlet for local commercial fisherman. With the finest seafood restaurant in town upstairs and an active fish market below, the Wharf is a constant hub of activity as well as a classic icon of the sea.
Small freight shuttle boats and water taxis will arrive and depart throughout the day... bringing customers from across the bay and picking up seafood to be delivered to other restaurants and shops in the area. At night, the market activity quiets down but the restaurant continues to serve diners well into the morning hours. Prepare to see many a limo bringing the city's elite & privileged to this popular tourist magnet.
This lot is designed for use  with the PEG-CDK REC style lots... but can be used with the IND style or as a stand-alone lot. It sits on a 4x3 tile lot, is transit enabled, and provides CS$$$ jobs and income from taxes. The interior of the restaurant is fully detailed right down to the red & white checkered table cloths. This looked great in the BAT but unfortunately, is all but invisible in the game without dramatically over-sizing the windows. Still, a small bit of it is visible at night.
There are two unique stats listed in the query; Fish Tons Sold this Month & Lobster Escapes. The Fish Tons Sold value is dictated by the city's population. The larger the city... the more fish that will sell. Lobster Escapes are influenced by the current Mayor Rating and you can use this to gauge your performance.. The higher the rating, the fewer lobsters that escape. If you are losing fewer than 25-30 lobsters, you're doing pretty darn good.

  13. PEG OWW2 PierSet Boat Pass

The OWW2 PierSet Boat Pass lot allows the game's water automata, including ferries and cargo ships, to pass through (under) your piers. The game treats each pier lot as a solid object and will not allow game automata to pass through. The functionally of the ferry and cargo ship  paths is not affected, but the visual automata (ferries and ships) stops when it encounters a pier section. But by placing the  Boat Pass lots over the paths of the ferries and cargo ships, they will pass through and continue on to their destinations.
For UDI missions, the Boat Pass lots are critical. Any watercraft used in a UDI mission, will sink when it runs into a normal pier section. However, they can pass easily through or under the Boat Pass overhead bridge.
This is not a normal feature that you commonly see on relatively short public or fishing pier. However, the PierSet can be used to make a visual pedestrian bridge from one point of land to another... and that could effectively block an important waterway to boat traffic. Therefore, a lot such as this could be necessary. Also, ferry and cargo ship paths often hug the shoreline for great distances, making placement of even short piers an issue if you don't want to disrupt your automata visually. Again, the BoatPass lots can resolve that potential issue.
The Boat Pass lot works by creating a 2 tile wide gap in your pier... then extending a visual-only bridge section over that gap. The Boat Pass lots are always used in pairs and plopped on either side of the two tile wide gap. Each lot has 1/2 of the suspended bridge section extending  beyond the lot's edge. When plopped 2 tiles apart and oriented towards each other, the complete suspended bridge section is formed. The readme file contains detailed plopping instructions for any one who might have difficulty positioning the lots.
In all other regards, this is a standard 1x1 section of the PierSet with properties similar to other standard PierSet lots.
    * All of the modular PierSet lots are parks... affordably priced with reduced park & landmark effects to avoid blowing over demand caps They are located only in the Water Transportation menu, directly below the other OWW2 lots..
For help creating the perfect terrain for CDK lots, we strongly recommend reading The Official CDK Tutorial.

  14. PEG CSK2 3x Road Swing Bridge

A common sight among many waterways is the classic Swing Bridge. These are a popular choice for fairly short spans because they are quite easy & cheap to build... and relatively affordable to maintain. In contrast to Lift Bridges, a Swing Bridge simply rotates on a center piling in order to allow river/canal traffic to pass on either side.
This Swing Bridge is designed for canals that are 3 tiles wide. The lot is also 3 tiles wide, to accommodate the bridge when opened. All other aspects of the bridge are similar to the CSK2 Lift Bridges.
This bridge is not a static prop. You could say, its a real "Swinger". No, its not into wife swapping and it doesn't play Glenn Miller music. It also doesn't yodel like Tarzan... although I was sorely tempted to make that the custom query sound effect. But it does swing open and closed many times through out the day. When the bridge closes, the safety gates 'swing' up. And when it opens... , the gates 'swing' down.
This lot plops as part of your channel/canal system. It is fully traffic enabled for all road traffic (peds, cars, buses, trucks, snowmobiles, etc...) & you can see the traffic cross when the bridge is closed. When the bridge is open, traffic will continue to cross however it's not visible and just disappears as it crosses. This was done because the bridge stays open for 2 hours (game time) so that the player can actually see it open... and that's a long time to stop up traffic and would otherwise impact the game.
These lots have no YIMBY/NIMBY effect, They are cheap to plop and cheap to maintain.

  15. PEG OWW2 RCI Boardwalk Corners

This RCI Boardwalk Corner Lots will allow you to wrap the OWW2 Boardwalks around corners while still leaving the adjacent/inland tiles open for RCI development or other ploppable lots. In all regards, properties, costs, etc...  are the same as the other 2x2 RCI Boardwalk lots.
This package contains 2 lots; an inner corner lot and an outer corner lot. Both lots are 2x2 tiles in size
The RCI Boardwalks are actually water lots that are designed to extend in & over the sloped coastal tile & merge seamlessly with OWW2 lots on either side.
This particular method does not allow the use of any props on the lot. Therefore, everything on the lot is rendered as part of the building model. The models are nite-lited... with lighting designed to match the lamp post & lite-tree props commonly used on OWW2 lots.

** This lot requires the   PEG-OWW2 Resource Pack 1

  16. PEG OWW2 PierSet 1x Wing

A common sight on many longer public piers is a mid-way public restroom... which can be very convenient when you're out on the end and Nature comes a callin'. Our mid-way facilities are supported on a short "wing" attached to the pier... with Bubba's Bait & Tackle located directly across from it.
This is a 1x1 addition to the OWW2 PierSet and the first of several planned specialty lots in the works to add more variety and life to your piers. Its properties are similar to those of the basic PierSet pieces but with a slightly higher plop price.
The model is nite-lited and, yes... it does work out in the water. The model's pilings were also rendered to allow the game's water to flow around them and under the supported structures.

    * All of the modular PierSet lots are parks... affordably priced with reduced park & landmark effects to avoid blowing over demand caps They are located only in the Water Transportation menu, directly below the other OWW2 lots..

  17. PEG OWW2 SV Seaport Sammys

Seaport Sammy's is one of the more popular attractions along the waterfront. That may be due to its prime location within the picturesque Seaport Village... on perhaps its the quaint nautical novelty shops. But most likely, its the 24-hour open air pub featuring the fancy & fruity umbrella drinks of many nations..
Seaport Sammy's is a 3x wide, CS$$ ploppable add-on for the Seaport Village. Like all OWW2 lots, it can be used with any other OWW2 style of lots, including the CDKM Marina lots. It features the same modular boardwalk and parking area... and plops seamlessly with all other OWW2 lots.
The lot also features a custom query and rotating query sounds. There are two unique stats listed in the query; Singapore Sammy's Served & Drinks Spilled. These stats are dictated by the city's population and your current Mayor Rating. The higher the population, the more drinks that are served. The higher your Mayor rating, the fewer instances of alcohol abuse via spilled drinks.
For help creating the perfect terrain for CDK lots, we strongly recommend reading The Official CDK Tutorial.

  18. PEG Stream Kit II Style 2

This file is a simple patch for your PEG Stream Kit II that will alter the appearance of all your Streams to match the water textures used in the newer Channel Stream Kit This is a purely optional patch for those who prefer the appearance of the Channels' water texture. The Channel Kit (CSK) already contains a channel-to-stream transition lot so those who prefer the original stream texture can continue to use them.
Installing the patch is as easy as replacing the original STYLE file with the file included in this download. Once installed,  the changes will be universal throughout all of your cities. You DO NOT have to re-plop any of the Stream lots. You can easily change back to the original style at any time by swapping the STYLE files.
Note - The transition from Streams to Ponds is a bit more "abrupt" than with the original water color... but its not too bad. A similar style patch for the Pond Kit is under development so the option to have all the water textures match will soon be available.
    * Specific instructions on swapping the STYLE files, if needed, are documented in the Installation section of the Readme File.
** This download is a standard ZIP archive. **
** The PEG Stream Kit II is required for use of this optional Style Upgrade. **

  19. PEG CDK Ferry Terminal

Our fourth and final foray into the realm of CDK Ferries is the granddaddy of them all; a large, centralized double-capacity Ferry Terminal. It will handle twice the volume (at almost twice the price) and also serves as the command center for your entire ferry fleet.
The lot plops CDK style and is designed primarily for stand-alone use. However, it does look good when mixed in with other CDK styled lots. Like our first 2 CDK ferry landings, it sits on a 4x3 lot and is transit enabled for avenues.
This is not a replacement for the original in-game ferry and can freely be used with any other functional ferry terminal or landing. In contrast to the original terminal, the CDK Ferry Terminal does not protrude several tiles out into the water. As the water depth is generally shallower nearer the shore, care must be taken to ensure that the water depth is deep enough for the ferry to operate. If it is not, the ferry will not function.  ( * see ReadMe file Developer's Notes for more details)
** Special thanks to BarbyW, Andreas, Blackbeard, ParadiseFarm, & Swamper77
for their assistance during the development of this project.

** Use of the CDK Leveler Tool is recommended for use with all CDK lots.
**The PEG CDK Ferry Central Terminal requires the installation of the PEG CDK-SV_PlazaPak1

  20. PEG OWW2 RCI Boarwalk Pier Fillers

This RCI Boardwalk Pier Filler Lots are for those of you who have figured out that you can do a lot more with the new RCI Boardwalks lots... then just make Boardwalks. Beyond making causeways and wrapping peninsulas, you can also plop the RCI Boardwalks out fully in the water... and make piers and islands that... admitted serve no functional purpose... but can be fun to make and nice to look at.

The only missing element was these single-tile wide filler lots to plop down the middle of your pier or to act as filler for an island.  But now, with these filler lots installed, you can easily turn any open water area into a massive hazard to navigation.

This package contains 6 filler lots for you to get creative with... all of which appear in the Water Transportation menu directly under the normal RCI Boardwalk lots. Most of the filler lots have no maintenance costs or any park-like properties... as they are essentially just eye-candy.

From left to right, as viewed in the above screen shot, the included lots are:

    1. The 2x1 Pier Head Lot. Provides a formal entrance to your pier area... complete with pretzel stand a nite-lit tree planter. This is the only lot in this collection that plops on the coastal tile like the other RCI Boardwalk lots. It also has park & landmark properties to represent the entire pier.

    2. The 2x1 Filler Lot featuring 2 planters with large ferns.

    3. The 1x1 Restroom Lot.  Because its a long walk back to shore.

    4. The 1x1 Filler Lot. Simple, with a single lamp post to illuiminate its simplicity at night.

    5. The 1x1 Snack Bar Lot. Hotdogs, Hamburgers and the ever-popular Smelt-on-a-Stick.  Or as the locals refer to it.. "Bait!!  Yummy!!

    6. The 1x1 Picnic Area Lot. Most people think the umbrellas are for shade. But if you've ever tried to eat around a lot of seagulls, you know better. If you don't remember putting Ranch Dressing on your fries... you probably didn't.

  21. PEG OWW PierSet Pier House

The focal point of many public piers is often the actual end of the pier. Commonly, there is some sort of attraction to lure pier dwellers out to the end... other than the end itself. This 3x3 end-section for the OWW2 PierSet is no exception.
The Pier House is a compilation of the types of attractions you'd expect to find at the end of a busy & popular public pier. There are small & unique shops along the outside and central mall... including Ginger's Gifts and Vandy Cartography.  The Pier House Bar & Grill offers wonderful seafood in a picturesque sit-down environment while the fisherman on the go can enjoy the ever popular Smelt on a Stick from the outside snack area.
The lot is extensively nite-lited and is also Christmas EnabledTM with colored Christmas lights that appear during the Holiday season (game time). The lot also features new, custom animated fishermen props that appear early in the morning and depart shortly after dark.
    * All of the modular PierSet lots are parks... affordably priced with reduced park & landmark effects to avoid blowing over demand caps They are located only in the Water Transportation menu, directly below the other OWW2 lots..

  22. PEG CSK2 3x Avenue Draw Bridge

Next in our CSK2 line up is the classic Draw Bridge. This is the type of bridge that "draws" the most attention from on-lookers as they can be quite a sight to see when opened to allow ships and boats to pass underneath.
For hundreds of years, Draw Bridges have been used to provide a convenient means to get road traffic across water... while still allowing water traffic to navigate past the bridge. Virtually all draw bridges are counter-weighted in some fashion to make raising the bridge much easier. This modern version, driven by gears and powerful electric motors that are concealed in engineering spaces built into the bridge foundation, is typical of many draw bridges built after 1930 and still built today.
This Draw Bridge is designed to allow Avenues to cross canals that are 3 tiles wide. The lot itself is 4 tiles wide, to accommodate the scows that appear when the bridge is open. All other aspects of the bridge are similar to the CSK2 Lift Bridges.
This bridge is not a static prop. It will raise and lower several time during the Sim day... and different types of scows, heading in different directions, will appear when the bridge is up. And as with all CSK/CSK2 bridges, the safety gates on each side of the bridge change with the bridge; down when the bridge is up and up when the bridge is down.
This lot plops as part of your channel/canal system. It is fully traffic enabled for all road traffic (peds, cars, buses, trucks, the General Lee, etc...) & you can see the traffic cross when the bridge is closed. When the bridge is open, traffic will continue to cross however it's not visible and just disappears as it crosses. This was done because the bridge stays open for 2-3 hours (game time) so that the player can actually see it open... and that's a long time to stop up traffic and would otherwise impact the game.

  23. PEG Caisson Style Lighthouse

Our second offering in the Lighthouse series features a replica of the Hooper Island Lighthouse which is still in operation in Chesapeake Bay, Maryland. A classic caisson style lighthouse, the Hooper Bay Light was first lit in 1902.
The caisson is sunk 13.5 feet into the muddy bottom of the Bay. The light stands 63 feet above the water. The inside of the metal tower is lined with white-glazed brick and there are 4 living levels, plus the watch room and lantern levels. This light was automated in 1961 and the keepers removed.  In 1976 the 4th order Fresnel lens was stolen and the Coast Guard replaced it with a solar optic.
This version of the Lighthouse functions like the game's default lighthouse in all regards, including plop & maintenance costs. It is a Reward, but it is not conditional. You do not need  to have a seaport for it to become available. This will allow you to also use it in non-industrial cities where a seaport would be useless.
Like the previous Lighthouse Island version, this lighthouse also does not replace the game's default lighthouse. The primary reason for this is that the default lighthouse is land-based... and this version obviously is not. A forced replacement could cause issues when upgrading. With separate versions, you can continue to enjoy the default lighthouse or any replacement for it you have installed... or reclaim the land it occupies and replace it with this water-based version at your leisure.
**This lot has No External Dependencies.**

  24. PEG CDK3 Vandy Shipping Company

The Vandy Shipping Company has been bringing your industrial goods to market since anyone can remember. Everywhere you look, Vandy trucks are chugging by with a load of cargo going somewhere. Peer out into the harbor and you are sure to see at least one of their cargo ships loading local freight for transport to some distant port in the region or beyond.
This is the first of the new CDK3 industrial lots and its loaded to the hilt with every goodie we can pack onto it. Its a ploppable IND-D lot with jobs... transit enabled for street connections... and packed with shuffling props that move, come and go throughout the day.
The lot features 2 new ships models, the S.S. Trolca (pictured above) and the company's flagship, the S.S. Vandy. You will see both of these sturdy vessels tied up to the dock at different times.
The various cargos and trucks are all random props... and also shuffle throughout the day... generally winding down and disappearing in the evening. The warehouses are not "nite-lited" to reduce model size and resources... but they are illuminated at night by little elves with flashlights that we hired to hide inside them. You can't see them but trust me... they're in there.
This lot requires 3 fairly large dependency files... which are:

    - PEG - CDK3 Resource Pack 1
    - PEG - CDK3 Ship Pack 1
    - PEG - CDK3 Vehicle Pack 1
This may seem like a lot... and yes, you could say this lot has "dependency issues"... although I personally wouldn't because its an awfully bad joke. But keep in mind that this is the first lot of a whole new CDK style and those dependencies contain the core components and props that will be used by many, many new lots.
    * The dependency files are available in the CDK section of the PLEX.

  25. PEGCDKN Navy Pier 2

The Navy likes it so much here, that they have decided to expand their port to include a new AEGIS Command Center. This new pier will be home to the most awesome and sophisticated vessels ever to sail in Harm's Way.
Imagine a destroyer the size of a WWII cruiser... and packing more firepower than a battleship. Match that up with the AEGIS weapons and defense system that is so TOP SECRET, that if we said anything more, we'd have to kill you. And considering how many downloads this lot will get, that would get rather messy!
This is an all new Naval Base with features and properties similar to the Navy Pier One lot. Its designed to be compatible with the CDK but can be used separately.  As with the Navy Pier One lot, it is a conditional reward with slightly higher requirements. Its transit enabled, a moderate polluter... but provides jobs to civilian workers as well as income to the city each month.
Using the new CDKN building methodology that is utilized by all new naval facilities, this second Navy Pier brings the base to life with new buildings and dockside props and personnel that shuffle & change throughout the day. The ship also deploys throughout the year so don't be surprised when you notice its gone. Don't worry... its a stout ship. It will be back...
Each subsequent base will require a little more mayoral effort and city development before becoming available. This base requires a city population of over 20,000, a mayor rating of 45+, Seaport usage over 75, a city that is at least 15% water (still notably less than the requirement for the Marina)... or completion of the good Fishing Boat Mission. The lot's dynamic icon info lists these requirements as well as the current levels of each requirement so you can see how close you are getting..
