Spring engine and zero-K!

So there's spring engine, it's a very handy open source engine which is used mostly in total annihilation clones and variants.

However you need some sort of interface to play the thing, so I advise spring lobby. It works with every game pack out there IIRC.

And then there's zero-K (formely called complete annihilation) which IMO is the best game for spring engine available. Balanced annihlation has a lot of users, but I find zero-k much more fun since it has a flat tech tree. All units are useful.

Hey look, a thread on Spring

I play Balanced Annihilation mostly, since it's also widely played (ie easier to find a server) and also has the super-fun-cooperative-gamemode Chickens.


Includes clips and screens of both BA and Z-K, though other games can be seen.

And here's a guide I typed mostly about BA, though the installation guide can be applied with other SpringLobby mods.
