Those living in Canaan are expected to defend the right to engage in peaceful, honest pursuits, and welcome the diversity that freedom brings. The city-state has a neutral foreign policy position, but recognizes that in matters of national defense, armed force must be exacted upon belligerents. Check out some of the locations responsible for delivering the most fundamental promise of Government...Security! Joint-Base Wolfram is located on the Northwest border of the region. Every citizen receives basic military training there. JB Wolfram is the largest military base in the region. 541 DownloadsPEG MTP Economy Airbase By Pegasus Alarmed by reports that a neighboring SimNation has gained air superiority, the Air Force is offering to build a new air base in your city. But after the recent budget cuts, they have little more than two pennies to rub together. Rest assured, they will have the 200 Simoleans a month they promised to pay your city, but they will have to cut some corners with the base facilities and especially, the operational aircraft. Rumor has it that the base will be home to a squadron of F1 'Splinter' fighters. Although considered slow and fragile compared to modern fighter jets.... with a nasty tendency to loop and fly straight into the ground... these venerable aircraft are cheap to produce, easy to fix... and require virtually no training to fly. And with petroleum prices continuing to soar... much higher than these planes ever will... the "alternate power source" used by the F1 Splinter can save millions in fuel costs. (Rubber Bands not included) This Air "Farce" base is a conditional reward that you can easily earn with a city population of just 12,000. It was designed for the MTP but can easily be used in any city or theme. Like most military establishments, it creates some pollution. But not too much considering that the base costs you nothing and will generate §200 a month in income... and also provide civilian jobs to local residents. And because this base is so poor, there's nothing of value to interest the local crooks. So unlike most military bases, this base will not escalate crime in the area. The Economy Air Base is conveniently located in your Airport menu.... primarily as this is one of the few menus we haven't yet stuffed to the gills. Dependencies: PEG MTP Super Pack PEG CDK Fishery (Optional - for chainlink fences) PEG One Flag - Many Nations (Optional - to fly flag of choice) All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.
NorthStarDC4M posted a topic in SC4 City Journals-PREFACE- Welcome to my "New" City Journal. I had started a Big Bend CJ http://community.sim...ys-in-big-bend/ already but due to a number of issues I am going to reboot it here. Rather than a structured walkthrough of the region I am going to post snippets of specific areas and image based stories. Big Bend includes lots of major mods and hundreds of lots. If you see something you would like to know the source of, ask, but it probably came from the STEX, LEX or SimPEG. I will gladly take requests for future chapters, and all comments are welcome and appreciated! So without further delay... -END PREFACE- -Chapter One, Ainsley Air Force Base- The USAF's Ainsley Air Force Base is home to the 330th Air Mobility Wings' KC-10 Squadron. This squadron deploys KC-10 tanker/support/transport aircraft worldwide in support of other USAF and allied elements. Ainsley AFB was constructed starting in 1942 and became operational July 18th 1943 as a B-25 Mitchel training and support base. After the end of World War 2 Ainsley became a B-36 Peacemaker base under the Strategic Air Command. When the B-36 was retired Ainsley was transitioned to a KC-135 tanker base, and in the late 80s transitioned to the new larger KC-10s. Ainsley is located as follows in the Big Bend region: As you can see, I've built Ainsley across 2 medium tiles and left the end floating off the edge of the region. Here's a closer up mosaic: I based Ainsley off of several current and former USAF SAC bases, so the runway layout with the closed diagonals is based on those. Lets take a spin through the base: AInsley's Gate Guard is a B-25, located and the intersection of State Highway 303 and Memorial Drive Memorial Drive goes through the base housing area: Before arriving at the base's north gate: Passing through the north gate, we come into the base proper: including the Operation Center (center) , Base Backup Power Generator (right), Motorpool (bottom) and VOQ (bottom right - (please disregard the lack of base textures, its a bug with my video driver and screenshots that pops up from time to time)) And finally, the main flight line: KC-10s by Tabi - Visitors Baracks top center, wing loadmaster's offices top right, and the base stores on the right. Moving back out into the base housing area: We find the base exchange and the base hospital, along with the local AMTRAK station to the right. This concludes chapter one, I hope you enjoyed the tour! Some important credits: Most military buildings and the gate guard by the SNM team, KC-10 models by Tabi.
Aurora, CO (TEASER) This is a lil update on Aurora, CO. In this update I'm presenting a small Joint Military Station that lies East of Downtown Denver and surrounds I-225 (or Dorner By- Pass, as I call it in the game) The double stack Dorner By- Pass that cuts down the middle of Dorner Joint Military Station High security is needed Prior to the massive military build up, The Dorner By- Pass was a four lane interstate. But, due to the growth of the base a double stack interstate was needed to save space Officer housing next to the base headquarters. The barracks and the base track
