  1. Can't find it?... Ask here!

Perhaps you would profit from these: @ rathefalcon That is good suggestion. I didn't think that HT industry would need containers but it doesn't look too out of place for HT industries. Thank you for your suggestion. Any more suggestion? thanks in advance.

@KonstantinII Those top 2 pics (railway stations) - are belonging to Raika. First pic can be found in http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2512 Second pic is Multi-rise grand station of Raika but it's not available anymore apparently. see http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=14898.0 As for the third pic - never see it before so I can't help you out there. Anyone else? Diego
  3. Can't find it?... Ask here!

Hello all, Following the theme in several posts ago (prior to this post), I am looking for a suitable small/large freight station for HT / IHT industry zone. All freight stations (small and large) I found here so far are either dirty or farming(/agriculture). Those stations look completely out of place for HT / IHT industry zone. (I am trying to work out the freight stations for IHT industry zones at the moment). Any tip/link for IHT/HT-style freight station (or at least, it doesn't look out of place). Thank you very much for your helps/advices. Diego
  4. Free WiFi? - Be warned!

Yeah! Not just your computers are affected by it - it applies to your smartphones/iphone/androids. I once used free wi-fi in starbuck (in USA) on my smartphone to check an email. A hour later or two, my email account got hacked and it sent all crap emails to my acquaintances without my knowledge. After that incident, I refused to use wi-fi to check my personal details or my emails on my phone. I only use free wifi to check info on web pages or weather info or maps in case I visit foreign cities and I got lost (or I lost map).
  5. The SUMv3 comes with a Windows service that can intercept process I/O operations and block file access to hide the appropriate plugins. Unfortunately the library used for this purpose does not work under Windows x64 (and maybe even does not work under Win7 at all). As a consequence the initialization does not simply fail but freezes the entire application. So the SUM cannot continue using an alternate approach where it just moves the concerning plugins to a directory where Sim City won't find them. You have to edit the “sumhkmodule.ini” to use the alternative method (as pointed out a few posts above): Reorder the “FileControlMethod” to: [sumfcserver] FileControlMethod=sumfmserver, sumnjserver Note that using this method, the SUM needs writing access to both Sim City plugin directories. There is a good chance that you will need administrator privileges to access the Sim City installation directory plugin folder. So you may need to run the SUM with elevated privileges. Depending on your UAC settings, any application will be run using standard user privileges (even if you are logged on as administrator). So you may play around with the compatibility settings of the “sc4stupmngr.exe” and “sumfcserver.exe” in the SUM installation directory (right-click and “Properties”). Especially you may try the “Run this program as an administrator” check box. Principally the SUM can successfully be run on Win7x64. At least it works on my system (having write access to the Sim City plugin directories). Thank you for this great tool. Unfortunately it still doesn't work properly on Win7 64x and I followed your instruction exactly. The tool still loaded all plug-ins for one city after I specifically selected several plug-ins NOT to be loaded into that city. I tried to develop one city in Japanese theme and I plan to develop different city which are "mountain theme". Both of these cities are in 1 same region. The tool doesn't work properly on Win7 64 bits sadly. (( I have to delete this tool and I have to accept that I have to load all plug-ins for any cities. I guess I won't see two different cities of styles in one region. Maybe I hope this tool is revamped one day for the use of Win7.

You are looking for the Startup Manager. Alternatively, while this is more work, you could have a separate folder for each city and just paste it into plugins whenever you want to work on that city (which is just doing what the SC4SM does manually). thank you. Unfortunately, that startup manager doesn't work as it seems to be. I have set up one region (London), and I set up 2 test cities (Fulham and Kensington). I create a profile for Fulham and create another profile for kensington. Profile for Fulham contains various "Japanese" plugins while profile for kensington contains many mountains theme stuff (BUT no japanese stuff at all). Unfortunately, I check both cities and they are still loaded with all plug-ins in menu. I dont understand. I checked the user guide but it still doesn't work. :lost: "Alternatively, while this is more work, you could have a separate folder for each city and just paste it into plugins whenever you want to work on that city " Please Can you show me some examples? I create a new folder in where? My document? my program file? :lost: thank you very much for your helps, nos.17
  7. Can't find it?... Ask here!

Hello all. Not sure if this is right place to ask my technical question or not. I have got one massive region and I want to set up several cities/towns of different styles in it. I wish to use specific plug-ins for one city (ie futuristic), and use different set of plugins for one town (ie Mountain theme) in the 1 same massive region. (like this: One city - futuristic, one city = japanese, one town = Mountain theme, one town = rural community theme etc etc - all in one region). I heard that it is possible to have some tool or mod that enables you to select plug-ins for specific cities within one region? If so, please link or name of these tools/mods? thank you very much! Diego

  10. Modular 8 level parking garage

amazing detailed work.   one question - does this parking garage generate income for those parking cars or not?  In other words, are those functional parking or just eye-candy?   Thank you.
