  1. Wow i really want this game, but a download version is a no go for me. I'm old school and i want a hard copy for what i bought!
  2. You won't get me twice. I can not get the first release to work after update 5 or 7 can't remember and I don't play anymore, and their amazing tec. Support gave up too haha. Oh well!
  3. since the patch any new lots i zone the ground texture appears for the lot but no building is visual, any answers?
  4. I wouldn't count on it, their ego and greed has overcome. This ship has sunk no chance on them changing the course. S.O.S-imcity. Our only hope is someone new will come along with what everyone wants.
  5. Not worth the time or money, I have uninstalled. YOU have to be a complete fool to throw money away on something that will not be playable in the future. I don't care what it says on EA's game boxes, it should say for all future games NOW RENTING and if it doesnt they should be SUED!!!!! So no sense on complaining about it anymore if everyone that is upset, you know what you need to do QUIT BUYING and QUIT PLAYING. Find a new hobby or game company that still sales you a game and not empty game box or just keep playing the great Simcity 4 until things change. It is not the end of the world but if people cut their PROFITS that is the only way they will listen. The sooner the cut the sooner the listen, if not the sooner the extinction of EA
  6. Why them dirty rats, the game is pointless at this point. I tried to play because made the mistake of buying the day it came out. I went by past reputation. Its been along time since I have even played pc games because ive been just to busy in life. I was unware how bad this has developed. I can not even recomend anyone to buy the game even if they fix the bugs. I sorry but it has to able to be played offline and offline saves... Well goodluck EA and maxis on swindling drone consumers, because you lost this loyal customers business...... RIP simcity or better known as SIMVILLE or TOWN. Modd community please fix this broken game.....
  7. It is simple, we are upset and the company does not and will not change it back to please the loyal customer. the only think left to do is keep playing simcity 4 and boycott EA I know that is a hard thing to do for some, only because they have selfish issues, however a simple stop in all sales across the board will reduce company profits fast. They only understand money and if they start loosing it, they will change very quickly, and think out this DRM. That would end everyones misery, but if you do nothing, so will they and you will be stuck with this crap. then no more complaining. So back to simcity 4
  8. I bought it not knowing that offline was not an option.. YES I made that mistake trusting that they would have produced something better than simcity 4. I was wrong!! All the new simcity has is better graphics with less options. Like someone said in a early blog it should be called simtown. I'm just trying to warn people not to make the same mistake and wait until its on the $10.00 bargin rack. . Congrats if you like over paying for a product and getting less, I guess there is a sucker born every minute. You haven't told us what happens if a server loses your cities after working on it for a year??????, or once they retire the server, they make you settle for a piece of crap game like sim societies!!! The only reason why simcity is back is because of the demand from simcity4 and its reputation.. I know your answer would be simple, just like you, " build a new one". Well some of us did not play for those reasons. We played for more of the urban design and its endless ability for modd community to create building and changing the design over time. I don't care to do any of the challenges that you say there is.. Go play sim 3. Many other people feel the same. If can't understand everyones upset, and you can only see this from your point of view. Well that make you very self-centered person and your review means even less to everyone. For you to tell people to over-pay for something just because your opinion says its great, despite what the majority experienced or feel. Again makes you self-centered and sound like a corprate troll who's only concern is Profit... Boohoo! No DRM was forced on you, you know why? YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO BUY IT. If the game goes offline in 10 YEARS you know what I am going to do? Not care, move on with my life, realize I got 10 freaking years of game play for $60! ONE year would be enough entertainment per dollar. You should have known what you were buying and if not, that's too bad for you. Next time read the requirements before you buy. Charizard is right, catchin2 does not listen. I don't care how great the game is. That is not what we arguing about. it is the simple fact that they forced DRM upon us the don't want it. how are you going to play this game in 10 years from now if you don't like the newer version in the future? that's right you can't. I don't have a beta copy I have the real copy and I bought it $60(big mistake) on trust of simcity 4. I know SimCity 4 didn't come with all the bells and whistles, and they came later. that is not the point. the point is I overpaid for a product that has no offline service indicates to me when and when I cannot play this game. I cannot play this game when I travel between New York and Pittsburgh on the train. it is a shame it could have been a good game it has the potential, but what happens when all your cities are lost because there's a online server failure, or again want to play can years from now. I'm sorry but it's wrong. trust me I want to go play the game now but it's just not worth it all my data will be lost anything in the future when the servers are stable I still have the possibility that they have a server crash I will lose my cities. you still haven't told us how you're going to deal with these issues that were asking you. instead you keep going on how great the game is. it is and it isn't but it's not 60 dollars great. for true Sim City fans, don't purchase this game unless they add offline mode. wait until it's on the 10 dollar bargain rack and by that time the server shall be improved.. I'll never make this mistake again now I know why PC game section in the store is so small. at this time they have killed another good game.
  9. I don't mean own the rights, and my older games do not have an expiration date. I'm not sure if your missing the point or not but what ,did i pay $60 for again? i understand what your saying, but that means consumer fraud. corprations do not like shareware or piracy but they feel free to nickel and dime us paying customer. just because its been going on for a while doesn't make it right, and its time it stops.. More we let it happen the more products in our life will follow.. Example when you buy a car that company you buy it from owns its design and manufacturing rights does this mean you don't own your car? If DRM is going to be the norm now, maybe car companies should run their business the same and sale you a car after you paid $20,000 or $30,000 then in 5 years send a sattlelite signal permantely disabling a perfectly fine car and have to spend another $30,000. lets see how happy this makes the fall in line sheep then!!!! Actually, you do not own the game. They merely sell the right to play the games at this day and age. I actually think it has been that way always.
  10. Charizard is right, catchin2 does not listen. I don't care how great the game is. That is not what we arguing about. it is the simple fact that they forced DRM upon us the don't want it. how are you going to play this game in 10 years from now if you don't like the newer version in the future? that's right you can't. 11. If your not happy with what is going on, now is the time for gamers to stick together and BOYCOTT EA games or any other companies who are going to strip us of our rights of owning and playing a product that we paid for. I'm not excepting online-
  12. don't bother with this game anymore it's pointless. without the offline mode function you're not able to save your own games. I just came back from going out for a little bit. to find the 3 cities that I've been working on for the last week are all gone. nice to see that somebody else has taken the ground were my city was... I was trying to be patient but I really want my money back.
