Well, I hate to be "that guy", but it seems like an unholy spawn of SimCity Societies and Cities XL. Online cooperation means you can't make your own super-mods, for instance...

Online Only? Seriously?! This is like Cities XL all over again. The focus on online play really turned me off and now it is again. I just want to create a world of my own, not share it with others. They should make the online part optional. :noway:

I'm a bit worried about the Origin version, which will have THREE building sets that you can't get otherwise. If a tool similar to the BAT is released, it won't be a big deal, but for now it makes me feel a little bit uneasy, since EA is clearly sticking its fingers into Maxis' decisions.

Well is great Maxis has returned to this genre. creator for the Wii now this.

From what little we have seen do far . the grafix look great. the thing that hurting my ambition on this future release is the words "online only" "plopable content " and the game devolopers money shot .. $ 20 more for Dlc right at release .. any euros here .. sorry seems maxis like u to pay more home region stuff.

just hope it reveals solo play and make sims happy to move in here and build what they want . just loved that about the game when i first played it on a mac

fully multiplayer? although i think i am one of the few who wanted to see multiplayer... i dont believe that blowing away single player is the right thing to do. where exactly did you get the info. i read the overview from the website and the closest thing to that is "For the first time, SimCity will offer a full multiplayer experience."

i dont believe that this quote means only multiplayer though

Seriously, I have to get it with origin? ಠ_ಠ

And that $60 price tag, why must it be 60? $10 might not be much, but it's stooping as consoles now, isn't it EA?

guys. it is still VERY early & we dont have a ton of information yet. I assume (yes ASSume) that EA wouldnt be stupid enough to take a singleplayer game, make it a multi player but throw away the single player aspect entirely. so lets calm down. . . for now (cuz if this is true i will surely sharpen my pitchfork) :D

Guys, you don't HAVE to buy it online. Just the deluxe version is Origin-exclusive, not the entire game.

Oh. Frigging EA keep your nose out of things. We want SimCity not Cities XL-SimCity Mega Mod! If there is no real single player this might be awful.

"Online Only" - Must be a typo! Let Maxis hear our voices as early as possible! I'm liking most of the things that have been announced, but please make online play optional! I don't want some troll destroying my power plants...

it probably wouldnt make sense to make a game online only if a hard copy is available for the limited edition, but who knows, the world is crazy :P all we can do now is wait and hope for the best...

    Please Dirk, pressure them!

    - Get rid of ploppable gamestyle

    - Get rid of themed cities

    - Get rid of forced online (CITIES UNLIMITED copy!)

.. oh man the developers these days .. are they really that stupid?!

Wooooot! € 80,- to plop the EVIL tower (eiffel tower)???

    Nahh..

Please stop making casual games for 1 cell brained kids. I want a complicated, hard to work on, but incredible worthfully and rewarding to play .. because then, you CREATE something yourself.

Please, remove ploppable stupid towers. I want my own unique city. With simple tools and converters to create game content myself. The first thing many people probably will do.. is replace that retarted Pixar Stadium. sorry, but people play Simcity 4 because of it's realistic gameplay.
