    After 24 years, Nintendo Power is closing shop.


    Today the video game industry was hit with some sad news. It was announced that Nintendo's official magazine, Nintendo Power, will be closing its doors. The magazine published its first issue in 1988 - and long before most people even knew what "online" was, it was providing gamers with unforgettable memories and tasty game news.

    I stopped reading that mag along time ago!. might pick up the last issue for commerative reasons!.

    Well, it is too bad, but in the evolution of computer/console/tablet gaming that has been going on, it is perhaps inevitable that magazines of this type would lose readership/subscribers and not be able to stay afloat.

    I've never read it, so I won't miss it.

    aww thats to bad, my favorite issue(s) was when they were doing the starfox commics. give it a year they will relese an app for IOS/Android that downloads the newer issues.

    Man, I used to be glued to that magazine when I was a kid...this and EGM were the 2 that I got every month. A sign of the times. Truly sad.
