New Amsterdam's Westerhaven District is known as the birthplace of Dutch Columbia. The current spot of Westerhaven is where the first settlers arrived on the island, that is now Batavia Island, and set up the first settlement, New Amsterdam. Today the district is one of the premiere entertainment districts in New Amsterdam and a very popular spot for tourists. Westerhaven Station is New Amsterdam's International Station with connections to Vancouver, Canada, Seattle, Cascadia and Portland, Cascadia. Because of that the area is one of the first areas tourists see traveling by train.

Noorderstad is the capital of Dutch Columbia and the second largest city after New Amsterdam. The city was founded in 1696 as a northern trading post and flourished due to its fertile farming land abundant water. Noorderstad was named the capital in 1731 of the flourishing Dutch Columbian Colony. When Dutch Columbia declared independence from Cascadia in 1875 the city was once again the capital but this time the capital of a nation. Noorderstad is situated in the District of Hollandia which is comparable to the District of Columbia in which the United States Capital is located. The city is home to over 1.2 million people and has one of the largest growth rates in the nation.

Zuidhaven is the third largest city in Dutch Columbia and houses the largest port in the nation. The city is apart of the New Amsterdam-Zuidhaven Metropolitan Area which accounds for 6.3 million people. Zuidhaven is famous for its many tulip festivals during the spring and summer when the city streets turn into festival grounds and vendors selling tulips are as far as the eye can see. Zuidhaven is often compared to Seattle, Washington, USA and San Francisco, California, USA due to its dense fog and hills.

The small town of Amstel Bay is ironically not that small. The "town" is 5 miles from the hustle and bustle of New Amsterdam. It is a very popular address in the New Amsterdam metro area and houses may be small here but they can sell for over a million dollars.
