North of downtown runs a canal. Although it looks like it is just for show, it actually plays a part in the transfer of water from the desalination plant to the water pumps.
To the left are some of the smaller midrise offices of downtown.
Buildings along the canal are much older, having survived the catastrophic Demise.
The building on the left is an old Dutch church, dating back to the 1600's. It is now a protected historical site.
The city courthouse
Living on the canal has its perks, your own stair case down to the water.
The desalination plant. The West Side gets most of its water from the sea.
Though this building is not on the canal, I decided to include it anyway. This was where the World's Fair was held.
Hope you enjoy!
