City of Perth view from a helicopter this morning! It is definately a winner for an photo competition. You can see UWA Campus [lower right] and some of the student dormitories [lower centre], along with Perth skyline being blocked by amazing Castle Hill.
Flinders Park, the large and recognisable parkland right in the middle of Perth. It was established in 1893 as a cementary, but later changed to a "Central Park" for Perth. It is one of most beautiful and important park in the city, especially during autumn.
Willis Tower, the first skyscraper built in Perth. The town planners planned that the places surrounding Flinders Park will be the location for towering city centre of Perth. But it changed in 1930s when the town planners decide to move the location of city centre slightly to east... leaving Willis Tower isolated - but also very very very important to Perth because it is only remaining pre-1930 building left in Perth.
Perth-City Airport, built right on the cliffs and with a high-risk of erosion caused by Swan River. Perth-City Airport is a small regional airstrip less than five minutes of drive away from CBD Perth... well, depends on the traffic. A lot of people want to live near Perth-City Airport because it is very quiet airport, and it is located right on a perfect location.
Perth-City Airport, Perth city skyline and eastern suburbs. Pretty amazing?
Perth International Airport, located up to 20km away from the CBD. As you may notice, Terminal 1 (for Domestic only) have finished its construction, including the car parks and Airport Central business district. Terminal 2 (for International only) is due to complete the construction in 2012.
Tune in for next amazing update!
