No, no - NO! We're not going to "stop by" at the casino!

funville_01.jpg

We're going sightseeing straight down to the beach...

Hang out with some nice fancy drinks, take a swim and some sun...

funville_02.jpg

Do some more sightseeing...

Then have some good clean fun at the Seaport Village...

Where we also spend the night.

And first thing in the morning we leave.

Forget the casino! I'm down to my last 20 bucks anyway...

The sub - 'Captain Nemo's Wild Ride' - is just an attraction... :-)
Might I ask how you make the boats that plop on the in-game water?
The "trick" is to turn the boat props into proper 'buildings' in order to make them float...

The way you lay out your cities and especially your roads is amazing. Do you lay down your roads first then build around them or do you plop your buildings and build to them?

No, usually I start with growing a small village, maybe 10 to 15 RES. They get a small stub of street. Then comes another small pocket of RES, again with a short stretch of street... this I continue, adding more and more RES, following the lay of the land. After a while these pockets start melting together, the street stubs slowly get connected and upgraded to roads - at this point I can also 'plan' a little more ahead and some of the roads will become more 'formalized' (networked)...

So mainly I stay away from laying out in grids, and avoid laying out huge networks before anything else. The roads kinda "grow" together with all the development, and away from any grid - european style :-)
