Æthelstan also gave Allemius the bishopric of Glowanceaster; and to Justus he gave the bishopric of Marceaster.<br/><br/>

And Sigemund led his army to Chardain, where he slew an innumerable host of the Arthins; and so was fulfilled the prophecy of Augustine, wherein he saith "If the Arthish will not have peace with us, they shall perish at the hands of the Cimbrians." There were also slain two hundred priests, who came thither to pray for the army of the Arthish. Their leader was called Broccan, who with some fifty men escaped thence.
