Please Note: As explained here, due to limitations in the Gallery software, some Challenge submissions may include a larger version of the same image (e.g. for mosaics).
Before voting, please check in the description and comments section to see if the author has posted one of these. However, it should not be a disadvantage if an author just has the required Gallery image.
Hello, again fellow city planners. Just to show that I'm not always about fictional cities, I'm showing off my attempt to create a small city representing more or less what the real-life area surrounding the Brandenburg Gate looks like. I figured this was the least popular landmark out of the three European set ones, but I found it very appealing, and the perfect one to start with. Below are some images of the real Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, Germany.
I realize that there’s a mod out there for the Fernsehturm, and I can’t wait to use it, but I just haven’t gotten around to it yet.

Looking for active and cooperative mayors to join region and continue a supportive community. Experienced or new mayors encouraged.
Original SimCity 2013 only please, no Cities of Tomorrow (all other adaptations are ok, just ask before deploying mods) Be active in communicating and collaborating with other mayors. 2 map lots per mayor (Please ask before claiming more than one map lot), preferably just 1 to start and eventually we'll roll into 2 cities per mayor if they are not occupied completely. play at your speed, don't feel rushed. Just enjoy and have fun! lets get some awesome skyline pictures and let the creativity flow and learn a thing or two from one another. If you want to discontinue playing with this group just let me know and please abandon the map so i can manage it and clear it for someone else to play. I chose Rambling Badlands because of it's fairly linear arrangement of terrain (other maps are much too gradient/sloping and cause graphics issues), plentiful resources and allows 7 cities on each side of mountain range with 1 great work on each side. I personally thought it was a much better set up than just 4 mayors per region quadrant.
Also Rambling Badlands is extremely bug free.
Badlands is also a nice change of scenery from the traditional maps.
My Origin name is: Moogu69
I have been an active mayor since release of this title with 1300+ hours logged
so please message me if you're interested! cheers!
Here in the Urban Fox Den, we focus only upon building the best designed cities, created with the best of SimCity (2013), SimCity 4, and Cities Skylines. We also play some other mods in the SimCity 4 game, such as SimMars and the upcoming SimMoon mod, which has yet to see an ETA, but there will be a let's play upon its release. Here we will also do some other games as well such as:

I'm building my home town, Berlin, with the help of your many mods and assets (I am using 70+ mods and 600+ assets). I started playing Cities:Skylines about 2 months ago and I'm enthused by the activity happening here and in the Steam Workshop. Thank you guys!
I'm endeavoring to add some of my own custom assets to the Workshop, but I'm new to the entire process. I'm good at photoshop, but I suck at Blender! I booted blender for the first time last week, so I'm at the rough end of a steep learning curve. You guys have been very helpful to get me over a few stumbling points. Now I'm getting ready to publish a couple of items and I'd like to run them by you first. I'm trying to start simple, but even simple objectives seem to morph into week-long efforts. Please let me know how my work can be improved.
I've got a Checkpoint Charlie cooking (check my screenshot stream on steam or on twitter, if you're interested), but let's start with the Rosinenbomber from the Deutsches Technikmuseum:
I found a DC-3 model by Giovanni E and lifted it to the top of the stock library with some prop anarchy:
I was happy to find a DC-3, but the model has some texture problems (the illumination map is always fully on) because it's an old model and was probably made before After Dark. In wanting to fix the lighting problem, I wound up re-texturing the entire model to specifically be the famous Berlin C-47 "Rosinenbomber," as well as adding some propellers.
It's starting to look decent in-game, but I still have some shadowing issues that I'm working on around the windows.
I'd like to improve the body texture so that it looks more silvery and less white in the sun (I'm using PhotoReal3 LUT and Daylight Classic mods).
Here are my current diffuse and spec maps:
How would I go about improving the look of the body surface? I'd like it to be more shiny and silvery.
My next question is, what is a good approach to make the LOD model?
Thx for looking & thx in advance for your suggestions.

Issues related to online game-play:
I haven't completed a list of official (non-user-created) DLCs for SC5 (2013), but below are general indicators of what variation there may be in content between players online:
Limited, Digital Deluxe, Collectors
Windows: NA, EU, AU, JP, UK, Worldwide, Mac OSX
Latest Version: 10.03.04.00
So far I have determined that user-created mods are less likely to cause difficulty in online game-play than the yet 'unfixed' condition of different official DLCs causing the 'unable to reclaim' error.
If a city is abandoned by another player and you can't reclaim it, it is most-likely because of the variation in official DLC.
Not being able to reclaim an abandoned city is most-likely the difference of which 'release' is being used by different players. Some content that was available for free and has been discontinued is furthermore likely to cause the error.
All welcome to join means ALL regardless of geographic location, release or OS.
From the multiplayer menu you can view a region and visit the cities in the region without having to 'claim' a city to get inside to look around. This way you can choose from several public regions with active players to join, and then claim a city in one you want to play without immediately leaving behind an abandoned city that can't be reclaimed by others if they have different DLCs.
