Cities on enlarged region

So, we have a classic region created in-game, it is default size. You will build big city on it, what spawns many tiles, and you will finally notice, that region is small for your city. So, you will enlarge the config bmp of the region. But, your city will stay on the enlarged region, and you will be able to continue building it without problems, or it will vanish, and you will have to import it tile by tile?

If you're asking if you can enlarge a config file, then yes, that is possible. You must, however, only add to the right and bottom edges of the original. From the two pictures, that is what you will be doing, so any cities already developed in the original tiles will be safe. Also, the newly added city tiles will be flat.

As long as you only add tiles and don't move the original city, your city will stay intact. But if you move it, or change the colors of the config in places where your city is, it will be deleted.

This means you can only add new tiles to the east and south of your region, that's right and below the original config.

So your multiplied config will work fine and nothing will be lost.
