About the building
The Majestic Theatre is a performing arts theater in the City Center District of Downtown Dallas. It is the last remnant of Theater Row, the city's historic entertainment center on Elm Street, and is a contributing property in the Harwood Historic District. The structure is a Dallas Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Designed by John Eberson under direction of Karl Hoblitzelle, the Majestic Theatre was constructed in 1920 as the flagship theater for Interstate Amusement Company, a chain of vaudeville houses. The $2 million Renaissance Revival structure opened on April 11, 1921 with a seating capacity of 2,800. It replaced a previous theater of the same name (located at Commerce Street and St. Paul Street) which burned down December 12, 1917. Operations of the Majestic were moved to the Dallas Opera House which was renamed the Majestic Theater until the new Majestic was completed.

The Majestic was the grandest of all the theaters along Dallas's Theatre Row which stretched for several blocks along Elm Street. The Melba, Tower, Palace, Rialto, Capitol, Telenews (newsreels and short-subjects exclusively), Fox (live burlesque), and Strand theatres were all demolished by the late 1970s; only the Majestic remains today.

The Majestic hosted a variety of acts from Houdini to Mae West and Bob Hope during the vaudeville era. Beginning in 1922, films were added to the regular vaudeville offerings. The theatre began hosting movie premieres and associated stars such as Jimmy Stewart, Gregory Peck, and John Wayne. The Big Bands featuring Cab Calloway and Duke Ellington continued the tradition of live entertainment at the Majestic.

In 1932, the Majestic began showing movies exclusively. It was known as the "man's house" featuring films of Humphrey Bogart, James Cagney and other macho heroes while the nearby Palace was known as the "laidies' house" featuring films with female leads. On July 16, 1973, the Majestic Theatre closed after the final showing of the film “Live and Let Die”.

The Hobilitzelle Foundation turned the Majestic Theater over to the City of Dallas in January 1976 and the theatre was restored for use as a performing arts center.

After restoring the exterior, the original Corinthian columns, balustrades, urns, and trellises of the auditorium were repaired and repainted. 23K gold leaf was reapplied to the extensive interior decorative accents. New seats were installed, and the number of seats was reduced from 2,400 to 1,570, to allow for an enlarged orchestra pit, the conversion of the second balcony to house advanced sound and lighting systems, and the division of the first balcony into box seating. The stage was given a resilient floor suitable for dance performances and Backstage space was expanded.

In 1977, the Majestic Theatre became the first Dallas building to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It received a Texas Historical Commission marker in 1983.

The theater was reopened on January 28, 1983. Today, the Majestic is regularly used for musical productions, dramatic plays, national pageants, dance, and concerts.

So I figured I might as well make a topic here, as this is most likely not gonna be the last time I ask for you guys' oppinion.  If I remember, I'll post WIP and releases of my buildings here.
My current project is a bus depot that fits the european theme and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out - but I've ended up with two sizes of it and I just can't decide which I like the best and could see myself using both. So I'd love some feedback - which you prefer or if it makes sense to upload both of them.
The small one is about the same size as the default one and has the same stats. The large one has slightly higher stats, but as depots can spawn infinite busses there's no benefit to the bigger one. I purely made it this large as the ones I took inspiration from were this size or bigger.
      Picture time!

As I gazed at the peeks of MrMiyagi's Paradise Reef green mountains, I said to myself, it would be nice if we could have clouds that brushed against the mountains like we see in the Caribbean and many tropical locations where some clouds hang low. Or even look down through clouds at our cities and regions. Or how about taking a first person flight through them in a plane or helicopter. Then @RonyX69 provides us with a script for the rotor shader so we can have semi-transparency and eventually it hit me to try and make 3D cloud billboards just to see what would happen. I also took inspiration from the cloud billboards in Flight Simulator X.
I have mixed feelings about the results so far and I'm not sure if this will go all the way to a workshop item. But I think it's worth a try.
      Starting the billboard method:
First thing is to make a plane and map it with the desired cloud texture. Then it's important to duplicate the plane, flip it so the normals are facing opposite directions, offset it a bit so no z-fighting, and then mirror the UV in both X and Y (in Blender). At this point there is a lot more experimenting to do in order to get an good billboard orientation to see a seamless cloud when rotating the best we can so we don't see too many edges from the sides. I will be studying cloud billboard methods and share any interesting info I find. There are many possibilities with all kinds of cloud formations.
How the game renders them...so far:
The clouds do not have a smooth transition between the closeup intended look and the LODs. At LOD distance, they develop hard edges and lose the fluffiness. They also disappear off and on I think when in LOD transition. I don't know if this is a permanent limitation with the rotor shader or if we can overcome it. If not, the best this kind of asset can be is screenshot candy. Also it would be a good idea to make some kind of anchor like a rock so when you want to bulldoze the clouds, you know where the base is since it's high above.
Current challenge: To make better cloud billboards and see if the LOD transition can be improved.
Below are some screenshots of my experiment so far. I did the mesh as a quick test model so please excuse the shape.

The rest are shots I took forcing good angles with the camera

Next I will make better billboard formations. Maybe some can be simple flat meshes for shots right under or over them. All thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

Hello everyone. This will be my custom content showcase and workshop thread. In all the years I been a member here, I never uploaded any content but enjoying great work by other members. I take this opportunity to say Thank You to all content makers for making our city building experience so enjoyable. I feel that making content is overdue for me and I want to give back to the community. I have some buildings and trees that I will be showing in upcoming updates to this thread. I will also be asking for advice and help.
