I like the towers, but maybe the plaza could be a bit more realistic? It's pretty bland down there.

Very nice.  Your installation instructions assume the game is acquired from origin.  This is hardly necessarily so.  There are Steam users and regular users with different structures.  Have you tested this by placing it in the regular user structure at C:\<user account\Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins (the default spot for user plugins)?  I strongly recommend against putting anything in the Program Files area which can be lost on a reinstall.

No matter what you think about *.zip files, *.rar requires additional software to expand these files whereas *.zip does not.  The usual format for STEX files has been *.zip for a very long time.  Doesn't matter to me because the Linux File Roller will unpack just about anything, but be nice to the ordinary Windows user.

I fail to see how any harm can come to a PC from a data file.

This is the SimCity (2013) STEX, and Origin is the only place where SimCity (2013) is sold. :)

It's actually been the standard to ask people to install in their Origin Games\SimCity\SimCityData because that's the only place where the mods function, for this is SimCity (2013).

Does this replace an existing building or is it a plopable?

No not at all this is 2 new landmarks it won't replace any other building in game all my building mods will come with that guarantee unless i state so...

Sorry about that.  I didn't notice the SC2013 in the banner.  This is getting more and more confusing as things pile up.

Yeah, you indeed fail to see. Its good that you are honest about it =)

one example might be a bug that puts extreme load on CPU or GPU or both casing them to fail!

5 stars bro, is there anyway you can have them light up at night. All the year I lived around them I remember them best at night

Thanks

The buildings are great but they look like there's a power outtage at night, anyway to light um up like the Freedom tower?

Very nice! Is it possible to light the Twin Towers up when it's dark?

Very nicely done mod! but the height is inaccurate, the original WTC was only 415m but the OWTC has a total height of 546m but in this mod it was smaller than the WTC. But very well done.

Wow, Danny, this is incredible. I love the One World Trade Center especially. The building is beautiful and it is a wonderful tribute to 9/11.

The only errors I see are in the description with a few spelling and grammar mistakes. But overall this is definitely one of my favourite mods as well as the most thoughtful. Keep up the great work!

      Hiya!
I made a model of Albi's Sainte Cécile cathedral in the south of France in Blender, then tried to make the texture for it. The texture didn't work out but I didn't look into it as much because I had another problem: the model, once imported into the asset editor, was all squashed. I tried reducing the size of it but it still got squashed. And now when I try to select it in the asset editor, it crashes the game. I'm not sure why this is happening, and I'd appreciate any help on this topic!
This is my model (I kept it simple) :

      DESCRIPTION
Located in Brooklyn neighborhood, New York City, the colonial revival building was built in 1918 and has been home to commercial offices ever since. The building was designed by the firm Starrett & Van Vleck and it was regarded at the time as Brooklyn’s first true skyscraper.

      INFORMATIONS
The model is available in two versions, Landmark and Commercial Office.
      W2W corner building.

      Landmark:
      Plop cost: 20,000
      Lot size: 1x2

      CO$$$: 400
      CO$$: 550

      INSTALLATION
Unzip the files from the .zip to your Plugins folder. There are four .zip files in the download area. Be aware!

32 Court Street (Landmark - MN): this is the Landmark version for those who do not use SimFox Day and Nite Modd.
32 Court Street (Commercial - MN): this is the CO$$$ version for those who do not use SimFox Day and Nite Modd.
NOTE: if you download both MN .zips I highly suggest you to delete one .SC4Model file, but never both.

32 Court Street (Landmark - DN): this is the Landmark version for those using SimFox Day and Nite Modd.
32 Court Street (Commercial - DN): this is the CO$$$ version for those using SimFox Day and Nite Modd.

      Hey all,
I've ran into a bit of free time lately, but I'm away from my desktop and finally decided to tinker with making 3D models.  I've been thinking about doing it for awhile, but I haven't had the time to plug away making anything worthwhile.  For now, all the modeling will be Seattle/American related to fulfill my desire for accuracy on the city journal side of things; however, I will release to the public as people will make use of them in one way or another.  I'll be covering a wide range of architectural history and most of the buildings/assets for Seattle help make the city skyline unique compared to others.  Also not on the list are various other buildings of various significance, but will be added in at a later date as my technical expertise on modeling improves.
For the most part, these listed buildings below have various degrees of difficulty to achieve and should be a good learning curve to go beyond this set of 22 places at some point.

The first building in design at the moment is the Safeco Plaza (#5), a 50 story, 160m tall office building that was Seattle's tallest building between 1969 to 1985.  At first glance, it looks like a fairly straight-forward box office building but after a good look in Google Street View, I noticed that the four corners protrude out and that the ground floor entry is entirely glass and depressed inside by several meters.  I'll be revealing progress shortly...

      Hi all!
Like most of you folks, I have a huge back-catalog in a spreadsheet somewhere of assets I plan on making some day.
Well, here's my list.. This is just the stuff I want to make, It's alright if there is already a good asset on the workshop for it, it's just for my own pleasure.
This isn't going to replace the refinery project, I'll still keep updating that thread. I just wanted to have a place to keep my other assets organized and seek advice from everyone.
I'll have to clean up the list at some point, but for now it's just a data dump. I have some more things I would like to make, but I don't have a design picked out yet, so I left them off for now.
