Cheat: Sewage (Single Player Only) 1.3

(4.57)    (14 Reviews)

About This File

The sewage cheat is comprehensive and requires both the base game and EP1 (Cities of Tomorrow). You may experience issues if you have also installed other mods that affect any aspect of sewage, including the sewage sanitizer.

All of the cheats reduce resource requirements while greatly increasing desired output. Usable only in single player mode.

The package file modifies the following instances, and for that reason, may prove incompatible with other mods that do the same:

Modified instances: (see screenshot for SimCityPak).

Sewage Outflow Pipe

Sewage Treatment Plant

Sewage Sanitizer

Sanitizer Tank

Sewage Treatment Tank

What this mod does:

  • Number of workers required to start operating set to 1.
  • Jobs tweaked slightly upward in some cases.
  • No plop or maintenance cost.
  • Power and water requirements for all parts of the sewage treatment plant and sanitizer greatly reduced.
  • For the sanitizer, controlnet reduced to 1 controlnet per sanitizer tank plopped (probably will never need more than 1 tank).
  • Increased the amount of sewage treated to approximately 1,500 kgal/hour for the treatment plant (lists as 200).
  • Increased the amount of sewage treated to approximately 4,500 kgal/hour for the treatment plant (list as 600).
  • Ground pollution on the outflow pipe reduced to 0.

Note:  I set the amount of the water pumped equal to the amount of sewage treated, but there is a percentage factor that reduces water pumped slightly, and I did not change this percentage. It's still far higher than normal.

To use:

Place all files in SimCity\SimCityUserData\Packages.  If you already have the script files, you don't need to put them in there again, just the included package file.

If you start a new region, what I find I must do is start the region, save it, quit the game, and then re-start for any mods to work the first time, even other people's mods that I've downloaded here.

If you use this file, delete and replop any existing sewage treatment plants or sanitizers. Same holds true if you remove the file.

What's New in Version 1.3

Released

  • 1.0 Initial Upload
  • 1.1 I had to get more aggressive with how I was flooding the water table for how much industry was using. Use 1.1 of my water mod with 1.1 of my sewage mod, and the water table will flood fairly quickly (you can start to see a positive difference in approximately 10 minutes), especially if they're plopped next to each other. I recommend just 1 tank and 1 filter for the water plant, and 1 filter tank for the treatment plant. Also changed the module count to 15, but 1 is plenty. Destroy your existing sewage plant first. When replopping, I noticed that I had to be sure that I added at least 1 filter tank.
  • 1.2 Fixed an issue with the sewage sanitizer tank not pumping water. You do not need to destroy/replop existing sewage sanitizers (if you were using version 1.1). For now, I have restored the default amount of water pumped. The controlnet, garbage, and power required to run the sewage sanitizer are all still reduced.
  • 1.3 Fixed an issue where after plopping the sewage treatment plant, you had to turn around and plop at least one sewage treatment tank. A sewage treatment tank now comes with the plant again. No other changes.

You're welcome and yes I have more,  I have water, fire department, hospital, wind power, and clinic mods. I just need to document what they do and post them.  The air scrubber is sorted in the game under Waste but it's in my Water mod (because I was cleaning up water at the time with it) but there's an air scrubber as well. I've also controlnet facility and signal booster mods.

Nice cheat mod :)

In many of these mods you modders say OFFLINE ONLY or single player only, but if you have a friend that uses the exact same Mods as, let say i do

can i play online with only that friend or will the Mods cause rollbacks....

Nice mod anyways 5/5 for sure!

The rollbacks occur regardless of the number of people playing in an online region or who has what mod.  If an online region is outside of the game's expectations for growth / capacity for the age/population of the region, it gets rolled back.

An extreme but obvious example would be if you and your friend both had a mod that let you both have a city with a population of 2 with 3,000,000 simoleons and the cities were only 2 minutes old, the city will get rolled back.  The game isn't looking at the mods themselves, but whether a given city continues to fit within expectations.  Most mods exceed those expectations somewhere (mine certainly do), so yes, the cities would get rolled back regardless.

Ok.

Thank you for the info anyways....

does anyone know what file to modify to increase the radius of service buildings (especially the ground scrubber) ?

I have been unable to identify which property governs the radius of the ground scrubber.  I spent hours yesterday and earlier in the month experimenting, nothing affected it.

Many thanks for your mods!
They are great to save money in the game (not counting other improvements).
Q: Can I use this mod with your mod cheat Water?
They seem to overlap?

Specifically, both correct and improve Sewage Treatment plant.

I have not compared them in the unzipping form. If there are individual packets, it is easy - do not install this mod one that intersects with others.

Anyway, Thank you for all your free modes! They allow to set in the city of more than one and 2-4 building police, hospitals and fire stations (for example, one building in the center, and the rest at the city limits to the coverage was more). You can even install all modules to avoid oversaturation of road service cars, but putting them in different parts of the city will be more coverage area, if I'm not mistaken. Thanks again!

P.S. Sorry for my English. Is not my native language.

Actually, it's best if you use the water and sewage mod together to get the best effect for filling the water table, and place them next to each other.  You can even do it on land will not a lot of water.  Water won't grow necessary beneath them, but if you look at the water map over time, it will fill in gradually. Do not add more than one or two water filters.

Hello,

First off, I would like to thank you for taking your time to create much needed mods for SimCity. The game would be very different had not modders be creative.

Currently I am running SimCity 2013 : Complete Edition v10.3.0.0 on an Intel i7-3770 with 16GB RAM. I have followed every installation instruction for the latest of your sewage and water mods. They are the only mods in SimCity. I also have done the steps needed for the mods to work when playing in offline mode. These are the only mods I have placed in the "\SimCity\SimCityUserData\Packages".

The following, unfortunately, do not work as shown in your screenshots :-

  • Water tables replenish only for the first plopped water pump in one city in one region only.
  • Sewage Sanitizer is running at the stock capacity.

Good news is that the other aspects to your mods work as expected (such as free to build or maintain them, sewage treatment plant has a much higher capacity than stock) .

Thank you once again!

This month we're hoping for a little bit of a boost this month or next, in addition to covering the regular bills, we could benefit from some hardware upgrades. STEX Collector's Set gifts can now be sent to you via digital download as well as regular mail if you wish! Every donation dollar goes toward keeping Simtropolis online and humming along. Your contribution counts! Hardware Upgrades As our website community software improves with more and more features, and as we bolt on additional features such as chat, the increased load to handle all these new toys is taking the server a bit to task. You may have noticed that we'd been forced to temporarily disable the chat as we worked out allocating resources for more optimal performance. Following this, we've applied a number of 'soft' changes such as caching options and experimented with server configurations (nginx as proxy, for example), so the hardware aspect is also an area we'd like to focus on. The last time we upgraded hardware was back in 2012, prior to the release of SC13. Your contribution means a lot! Your donation will go toward helping us to 1.) migrate to a newer server or 2.) at least get some ram/cpu/storage updates and any other infrastructure hardware or services. Donate and Get a Gift or Donate Any Amount Thanks so much! - Dirktator & The Admins

I accidentally named a city the same name as a city that is already in the region, and I already built on all the land (small city), so I tried the WhereRUFrom cheat but it is not working properly

I tried renaming 'Zekrom Black' to 'Van Buren' but when I type into the cheat window, WhereRUFrom Van Buren, it names the city "Van" not "Van Buren" The city name is incomplete.

      How do I fix this?

May NOT be a flaw. The standard use of n-coordinates is that the y--coordinate is used for East-West or vice-versa. The x--coordinate is for the North-South or vice-versa. These are in the same flat plane. The z--coordinate is used for heights. Values can be positive or negative. But I don't know if these conventions are hard wired, or if they can be interactive.
To get back to this topic, I noticed that the TerrainQuery  cheat is using the z--coordinate as the x--coordinate. The little pic explains it better:
      (from Wikipedia)
This little glitch baffled me for a good while until I checked the cheat's values with a gray map height levels. They correspond rightly.
EDIT: I wrote "cheat is using the z--coordinate as the x--coordinate". It should be "cheat is using the z--coordinate as the y--coordinate" as @CorinaMarie rightly pointed this out in a post below.

I tried using the extra cheat "DrawPaths" to see if my FLUPs are connected. Not only is there no path illuminated under my RR, but the avenue ramps are dark as well.  T_T
Does anyone know enough about both the drawpaths cheat and FLUPs to know if the gap in illumination is a gap in paths or simply a gap between mods?

    • Thanks, T Wrecks...rewards are such a giant pain to make! So I usually try and put something daft in to try and compensate...this is my nod to the g20 . As far as I know, the OG doesn't do anything, but there is an ATR file in sim city1. dat  (I think it's 0x49a59e37 - 0x01601900), but it might have been deemed a bit too graphic, or it could just have been like the other dozen or so atr files that aren't used in anything....   Oh, and btw, citybuilder234, the building looks like whatever I tell you it looks like.....
    • It doesn't even look like a convention center. Looks like a building at a community college or a state university.
    • Wow, what a fantastic building! I like the intricate shapes of this one, and the many different areas. There are so many details to take in that it really takes a while to grasp the entire structure. I also agree that there's not much going in in terms of conference centres, so this really fills a gap. Kudos for all the reward modding too - I know that part is pretty tedious und ungratifying work (unless you're some sick masochist ). What I also like is how well the lot complements the building, and it acomplishes that with so few and so simple means. Just a few default overlays and props, and we have a lot that leaves nothing to be desired. The one tiny suggestion I have is that all your recent buildings have had their names (and, in cases like this one, also their function) baked into the model. This is not bad generally because it allows a better visual appearance, but sometimes it limits flexibility a bit. The building in question could totally double as a modern city college, for example, or maybe even as a university (not all modern universities are sitting on a lush campus, after all!), but then there's the "Convention Center" lettering in front. I guess it can be covered with cleverly placed flora props... Fun fact: I never knew that there was an Occupant Group "burning dude maker" - what the...???
    • Do we need to delete Oppie's and replace yours?   Ps. Thank you so much for revamping this amazing mod.
