About This File

This mod adds the roads with only stop signs at the intersections.

Features:
- High Density Street and Medium Density Street with no traffic lights.
- High Density Avenue and Medium Density Avenue with no traffic lights (version 1.1).
- High Density Streetcar Avenue with no traffic lights (version 1.2).
- Major roads and Secondary roads.
- Cars pass pedestrians at the intersections.
- You can add the traffic lights using "Road Upgrade" and remove them again according to your wishes (see screenshot below).
You should save the game after creation of region and restart the game, so you can upgrade the ordinary roads to the roads with no traffic lights.

This mod can help to reduce traffic congestion in the city.
You need to place a road in a value "a secondary road" at first and then a road in a value "a major road" (It doesn't matter when the road crosses the Avenue).

When you use this mod with the Project Akar by Yayie (http://bit.ly/1ooMyA4), you can find these roads in "Custom Roads".
Thanks to Yayie for assistance in preparing update 1.3 and Banwashere for preparation of icons in update 1.4.

THIS IS AN OFFLINE-ONLY MOD.

How to install:
Unzip the files, copy and paste the .package files into your SimCityData folder.

Regional Roads With No Traffic Lights should be used ONLY WITH the main mod "Roads With No Traffic Lights".

Nice.. So you basically have main AVE's and you upgrade the side roads to be stop signs only if you like to get the aves moving as quickly as possible

Wonder how yields would work with the same idea

Nice job.. good idea

Thank you! I tried to make this mod because nearby traffic lights often cause traffic congestion. And it was impossible to connect a side street with no traffic lights, for example. I hope that this mod will help to reduce the traffic load in the city.

Just wanted to say, I went and tried your mod, and it works absolutely great!! Now I can design my city in any way I like, grids and all, like this simcity seems to prefer over anything else. Oh sweet, this mod does an awesome job at eliminating all gridlock and lets all traffic flow freely without the mess that usually comes when zoning medium and high density roads. thank you so much for making this awesome mod. Any possibility you can make one for pollution or maybe, something that tricks the things like trade and electronics into believing you're ready for the next upgrade. Lol but it would nice though. thanks again for the mod.

Fantastic mod! Traffic flows nicely without lights on every corner, and visually the streets look better when you zoom in and take a look around (less cluttered without all those poles). One thing I noticed... when they don't have to stop at every corner the sims drive like maniacs! It's quite amusing to watch.

Why why why didn't maxis include this in the base game??!!?? Thanks for a great mod.

Hi all, new user here. I finally got NAM installed and have been going through some of the new roads.
However, I noticed that there is a little speech bubble that shows the names of the roads when trying to build, which I find quite annoying.
Is there anyway to turn this off?
      Thanks!

I found a couple posts about building roads up some hills, but I couldn't find them again. I followed the "how to grow a gentle slope" but that is on a flat land.
What I want to find is how to climb a hill with roads upwards. I tried terraforming with RR but that just flatens the terrain, and NOT climb up a hill. I won't go for the 45 degrees climb that Maxis allows, they look ridiculous. Any ideas ?

This thread will focus on improving and revamping the Transport Lines Manager mod, as well as potentially adding features from IPT and/or unique new features if possible.
Transport Lines Manager Reborn 6.0.1 now in the workshop.
      Bugs as of 6.0.1:
Renamed depots are not working in the TLM listing and in depot details windows. Bus stations and terminals are wrongly listed as depots. Not show cable car stations on linear map as near transport. Ticket price changes not being implemented. Sort lines by colour not working. OP is below:
The creator of IPT hasn't been online in over 5 months, and the creator of TLM hasn't been online in nearly 1 month. Mass Transit DLC is coming out in a few weeks, and I don't know how either of these mods will fare with changes being brought to the transit system.
Is anyone in touch with either of these authors? I would especially hate to see TLM go to the dustbin of modding history considering how many options and useful configurations it provides (plus the aesthetics!) such as changing frequency depending on time of day (such a no-brainer), and IPT has excellent debunching. Now that these two mods are nearly incompatible, and with the DLC coming out soon potentially rendering both useless, something must be done. They're far too valuable to go to waste.
If we can't get the authors to update their mods or publish their code for others to carry it forward, can we all maybe pitch in and create an entirely new mod from scratch? Is someone working on this already? Even with the improvements being brought with the free upgrade/DLC, I feel TLM/IPT features will still be vital to many player's C:S experience. What do y'all think?

Does anyone know what dictates the volume of through traffic and if it's moddable?  I'm talking about the amount of cars that enter your city from one direction and simply pass through to exit somewhere else.  I'm trying to set up a particular story where the region starts off sparsely populated and rarely traveled and the huge volume of through traffic really throws off the theme - turning my single national road connection into a traffic jam.

    • In case you're interested this is what I've got after extracting and installing the appropriate files.  Really no difference at all compared to when I first wrote you.
    • Do you know whether or not this file is compatible with SC4 on Steam?  I extracted the .7Z file and installed the files and I've still got nothing but a big blank lot.
    • Ahh, gotcha.  I'm using a Mac.  So the .7z file needs to be extracted.  That part I wasn't aware of, I just loaded the 7z file into my plugins folder.  I'll give it a shot!  Thanks!
    • Thought you might know it, but it was worth a shot. Ah yes, those real-estate photos - I had, in fact, seen an article about that blog somewhere and nearly forgotten about it afterwards, but then my sister gave me a tear-off calendar for Christmas: every day a horrible picture and a great one-liner. I love that stuff.
    • @nycsc4 ... This file should only include the texture and lot files - due to copyright reasons I have to link to anything that is not mine (the stadium in this case). I'm not sure what you mean by the "invisible KS file." On the OneDrive, there is a button for KS_AllianzArena 15x12 which once downloaded, will give a *.7z file. If you're using the default windows extractor, it may be a problem (not sure if it can handle 7zip files or not), but something like winrar should unzip it just fine. The .desc and .model files you need will be right there. Let me know if that's not working for you.
