About This File

This mod adds a new set of Pedestrian Paths to the parks palettes.  This paths carry pedestrians, power, water and sewage.  As a result, the lamp  posts on the park light up at night.

 

You can plop all the parks that don't have parking lots along these paths, along with trees and university modules

 

you may also build bridges and Tunnels with this path.  The paths do futurize as well when CoT park is placed along or near them.

 

To install this mod, just extract the rar file into your SimCityData  Folder.

 

THIS IS AN OFFLINE ONLY MOD and will cause rollbacks if played online.  Make sure you remove your package before playing in multiplayer games.

 

New version allows for Double Wide Service Road with ability to protect Sims walking and give a clean MALL look

      In the world of SimCity 4, the huge library of content is the main reason for the game's longevity. It continues to push the limits to what is possible, and allows the creation of more realistic and diverse structures & landscapes.
      Yes, it's time for the ultimate test of creativity! In the final Content challenge of the season, we're basically throwing away the rule books...
      For this challenge, you may create any SC4 content you can imagine, not just limited to lots. Maybe an elaborate map, an intricate mod, or a magnificent BAT -- even a combination of these things. Because for the first time, up to 3 separate items of content may be entered if you'd like. You choose the item(s) you'd like to create, along with the method and techniques to get there. With Trixie nominations just around the corner, an open canvas awaits!
      Once completed, a screenshot should be taken showing the content functionally present in the game. Daytime is preferable for this, unless the item contains dominant night lighting effects that you'd like to present.
       
      Specifications
      Anything!  
      This is a  Custom Content  challenge running for 47 days.
       
      Requirements
      To qualify, please make sure each entry complies with the following requirements:
       
      This challenge is only open to SimCity 4 Deluxe / Rush Hour.
        The content must be an original item (created by yourself), and not previously released on the STEX or other public exchange.

         You may submit a maximum of 3 content items, each following the below Submissions process.   a. All your entered items will be eligible for voting, however only your highest rated item will be used in the final ranking.
      So basically there are 3 opportunities to gain a place in the results, with no downside to submitting more than one.

      b. In the event of items having an identical rating and votes, the earlier submitted item will be selected.
       
      Submissions
      As this challenge involves creating content, submitting entries is slightly different than a regular event.
      For each item, there is a two-step submission process; using the STEX for uploading and the Gallery for voting:
       
      On the STEX
      The content uploaded in the STEX Challenges category below.
      The upload has a full title.
      A description with basic information, including any dependencies used.
      At least one in game screenshot of the content.
       
      Leaderboard Rankings  
      A new leaderboard system is currently running for this season. This has been designed to incorporate all challenges, linking with each set of results.
      Each place in a challenge has points on offer -- the higher you finish, the more points you gain. Then at the end of the season, prizes will be given out to the top 10 in the final standings, with the winner being crowned the Grand Champion! 
      This  Custom Content  challenge is eligible for the "Overall" and "Monthly & Custom Content" leaderboards.
       
      Full details and the current standings can be viewed in the following topic:
       
      The winners will be the top 3 ranked images. Reputation prizes will be awarded based on the number of entries, and the overall average rating. See this topic for more info.

      Hey guys,
      I've  been enjoying Cities: Skylines basically since release day, immensely helped by all the awesome stuff the community created, and felt that after so much taking, it was time for a little giving.
      In real life I'm a front-end/C# developer, and in my free time I love to travel and run riot with my camera (and again web developing: recently my travel website went live, a labor of love/vitriolic hatred of 10 years). With that in mind, it's not surprising I ended up creating a mod that goes right after the aesthetics. The result: Ultimate Eyecandy *tadaaaa*

      Addendum April 4th, 2016:

      I'm making slow but steady progress, not in the least by deciding to ditch a couple of features on my wishlist for a later stage
      Most important for the time being is to create a stable and robust base to which future features can be added. What remains are basically the features that are visible in the various screenshots.
      ETA for v1.0.0: for the time being unknown.


      Wish list (not to be confused with a to-do lost - these are features I'd love to add, but not sure how feasible they are):

      - setting to turn on/off building night lights at will, without messing with the actual simulation (based on what I've found so far, the two seem rather intertwined).
      - color picker to change the fog color;
      - color picker to change air pollution color;
      - slider to change the strength of 'ground wetness';
      - LUT Creator: apply various settings to a neutral LUT (color channels, brightness, contrast, lightness, etc.) and export/upload the result as a custom LUT;
      - a modular set-up: this mod will be the core, and other graphics-related mods can be integrated as 'plug-ins', each with a menu item/tab of their own. Think (orphaned) mods like Dynamic Resolution, BorderCities and/or Ambient Occlusion;
      - who knows what else I'll come up with (feel free to make suggestions!)

      For who is this mod:
      - modelers that want to take screenshots of their assets in every imaginable weather/ambient condition;
      - players that like to have control over the environment when making Let's Plays;
      - players that love to have a more artistic/photographic approach to taking screenshots;
      - players that like to watch their city in different conditions without having to wait (for example until the game finally decides to let it rain);
      - anyone else

      For those who use multiple versions of 3dsMax for the past years, sometimes you may get confused about what version was your file done in. I found this tiny program called 3DS Max File Version that lets you know just that. It is pretty straight forwards.

      Hi all. I'm planning to play the game again. Previously I gave up on the game due to traffic issues and disasters. My objective is to play several cities, each maybe specialising in something and of different wealth level perhaps, then pooling resources to build a great work. That's the goal. Won't be playing the expansion futuristic setting.
      Now I only have the vanilla version of the game. No DLC no expansion. Bought it back when it was launched. I don't intend to spend any more money on the game. I'd like to ask 3 questions.
      1. Question removed
      2. If the mods doesn't, would it work on just the vanilla version? 
      3. Any mods to remove aliens disaster? I don't like such unrealistic disasters

    • I like the idea of a positive and friendly version of the business deals. It will add some extra variety in gameplay. To be honest, however, I believe it has some excellent potential to be improved and be even better. Remember that these are just my ideas, so feel free to reject them if you wish If you feel that you could have made the deals more realistic and kept a bit more of the negative effects, do it. If nothing can stop you from updating your mod, just do it. This is one of the best things about modding, the ability of fixing, improving, updating and upgrading the mods. If you wish to make some changes, go back to your workshop and take your time. If you need some help, we're all here for you Another thing, and probably the most important (at least for me), is the lots themselves. A great reloting is highly recommended, because right now they don't look as friendly as they should. This might require some BATting skills, allowing you to make your very own versions of the buildings. But because I don't know if you can make actually BATs, I believe that you can use your lotting skills to change them, like adding various props to cover the original buildings. Here are some ideas: The Eco-Friendly Waste Dump still looks like the last thing you want to build in your city. My suggestion is a high-tech, warehouse-like recycling center, that stores and modifies the toxic waste into Eco-friendly and useful materials. The Humanitarian Army Base still looks a bit too militaristic. My suggestion is something like an Aid Camp, that can provide some healthcare bonus for the poor Sims as well. The Particle Testing Range looks more like an abandoned missile silo. How about a high-tech facility, with radio dishes and advance laboratories? Something like the Particle Cannon from Generals. Finally, the Social Rehabilitation Center still looks like a terrifying jail. If you can/wish, try to replace it with something that will actually look like a rehabilitation center, like a hospital with a beautiful park in front of it. All the above are just my 2 cents. If you have something much better in your mind, go for it

    • This looks great , definatly for me while im having trouble with the CAM.  I have a question tho  ..Does the IR fix from CAM2.0 let you use CAM and IR at the same time now?    
    • yeah I was going to mention the 'cheat' aspect, and they do border on what we'd call a 'cheat', but as well these buildings represent what a city might invest in for a positive social and financial benefit.  I suppose I could have made the deals more realistic by requiring a very expensive construction cost and kept a bit more of the negative effects.   Using one or two of them may help keep the budget in balance without overdoing the 'cheating'.   These buildings didn't seem to be realistic in the severity of negative impact on mayor rating preventing other rewards from appearing normally, which is the most important thing I modified.  But yeah, strictly, its a cheat mod.
