About This File

Hello everyone,

Over time I have received several requests to release some of the lots I created for use in my City Journal. I have been hesitant to do this because I did not have the time to mod the lots so that they are appropriate for release. Now that I have some time, I have decided to release some of the lots I use. These two lots are intended as parks for an urban area or a Japanese-style city. I originally created these lots for the city of Tokukai.

Future releases will depend on how much of the files I used for Insulo can be recovered from my old computer.

Note: These lots may look better with a grey concrete sidewalk mod, but that is not required.

If you downloaded this file before 3:40 EDT November 20th there is a new version that corrects the menu icon glitch.
Simply delete the files from your plugins and replace them with the new ones. I apologize for the inconvenience.
The updated package also includes a readme file.

Disclaimer
These are released personal lots, and thus may have errors. Please report any errors you find in the comments section and I will try to address them. However, I am not responsible for any harm resulting from the use of this file. Because it was originally created as a personal lot I made no attempt to minimize the number of dependencies, and will not be reducing them. I think all of the dependencies I've chosen are good to have and several are very widely used.

An appeal for your support: Help us keep the STEX up and running

11/06/2015

Hi Community, this is a public appeal for help to keep the STEX up and running! We currently need your help to offset some of our operational costs and upgrades! As you know, we've always relied on community donations to help keep the website running. And while all our admins and moderators volunteer their time to managing the site and community, we do have modest expenses that we need to cover each month which includes our server hosting fees, software and support licenses, etc. So lately, we've experienced a slump with donations and we're beginning to feel the pinch! We would really appreciate your support by way of a donation of any amount in order to keep the site up and running. Of course, as always, we'll send you a gift with a minimum donation as a Thank You. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to PM me!  Sincerely; Dirktator & The Admins PS. Thank you to those who have stepped up and donated the last couple weeks -- we really appreciate it!

Hi everyone! I would like to show you my first big city playing Cities skylines after dark: Bosmonde. This city is based on a map of Boston. I am planning to post regular screenshots, and tell you more about the city as this journal grows. For now, enjoy the first picture:
001

Off course, any tips and suggestions are very welcome as I am quite new here. Comments are always appreciated
Edit: added 2 aerial (night) images of Bosmonde, including the spots where the images were shot for you convenience.
.

Edit: Added a new map, thanks to Cimtographer!

Cheers!

• Catalyst's Asphalt Sidwalk Extension Mod
By Bloemkoli
Description:
This mod Extends the super light asphalt mod by bringing some nicer textures to
your low, medium & high-wealth zones. Of course you can also use any other
sidewalk mod that provides good coverage for static network pieces that are
wealth-independent.

Dependencies:
NONE

Can be combined with:
- base mod by Magneto
http://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/28804-super-light-asphalt-mod/
- addons by MGB:
http://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/29789-mgb-super-light-asphalt-addons/

Installation:
Make sure this mod loads after the used sidewalk mod and other texture-changing
mods such as TGN by MGB (this mod should have at least 1 more underscore '_' in it's
folder name). If for example you use the superlight asphalt mod and have named its
folder like so : z_superlightasphaltmod, make sure you give this mod-folder a name
starting with z__ (2 instead of 1 underscore).
To slightly increase performance, remove the images.

Optional:
The included files found in the folder 'OPTIONAL_TULEPs_overrides' are optional and
do some changes to the 'orto avenue x orto avenue' automatic tuleps (based on
MAS71's work;
http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=2897.msg146604#msg146604),
the ploppable 'road tulep Type A1 + Intersection' piece, and the 'road tulep-Type
A-Dashed' piece (see pictures). For optimal visuals drag out the avenue at least 3
tiles from the intersection without intersecting any other networks.

Credits & outro:
Based on the superlight asphalt mod by magneto and paengs sandstone mod for
identifying texture-ID's of interest. Avenue Tuleps inspired by MAS71's mod.
All textures except medium and high wealth sidewalk are based on the work of the above
mentioned people.
Feel free to improve and redistribute for non-comercial purposes ;-)
• Statue of Napoleon Bonaparte
By jarnomiedema
Background:
Some people consider Napoleon Bonaparte to be the greatest military commander to have ever
walked the Earth and see him as one of the great innovators of his day, whereas others see
him as the first true dictator, who with modern means at his disposal, was mostly a great
oppressor..
Napoleon Bonaparte is a complex historical figure, one that still stirrs feelings in the
hearts and minds of people all around the world. That is exactly the reason why this statue
of him was commissioned. As a monument to the man, not his deeds or his actions, but to his
strategical brilliance and innovation.
This great copper sculpture of the Emperor shows him pointing his troops to the battlefield,
whilst seated on his trusted horse Vizir, a gift from the Sultan of Turkey. The statue itself
rests upon a large sandstone pedestal, with a few words inscribed on the front to teach the
younger generations to whom the statue is made out.
I hope you'll enjoy my second BAT creation and find a fitting place for it within your cities..

Custom Icon

Dependencies:

BSC MEGA Props SG Vol 01
Porkie Props Vol1 European Street Accessories

Installation Instructions:
Copy the contents of the zip-file into the Simcity Plugin folder located in My Documents.

Credits:
My thanks go out to Porkissimo and Simgoober for creating their wonderful props, without
which I would not have been able to create the final lot that you're seeing here today.

Disclaimer:
Feel free to modify the lots for yourself and show them in your city journals, but please
don't distribute them without asking me first.

Notice on current update:
This file has now been updated to include two versions of the same statue. You can now choose
from the normal sized version and the half-sized version, which is more to the scale of the game.

Notice on previous update:
This file is now updated! I've changed the textures of the statue with a more realistic looking
real-life copper texture. Other than that, there are no changes. Due to this change, I'll be able
to make more realistic and lifelike statues in the future. Credit goes to Oppie for teaching me
the method to use the textures. Oppie, thanks a lot!

Mod Edit: Fixed broken description formatting.
• Pedestrian Crowd Lots
By doodlea21
Have you ever crafted a stunning public space in your cities, only to find it just a bit lifeless? These 1x1 tiles of pure pedestrian energy have been created for the purpose of averting this problem. Three lots are included: one with a grassy base texture suitable for parks, another for plazas, one more with a transparent base ideal for beaches.

These straightforward lots combine a mixture of standing people props and random walk effects giving a completely varied appearance. They are much more visible at greater zoom levels, but can still be seen to give life to your city as far out as zoom 3.

The stats are as follows:
Plop cost: §10 Monthly cost: §1 Bulldose cost: §1 Landmark effect: 2 over 10 tiles Park effect: 1 over 10 tiles Garbage produced: 1 unit
The water and power consumption, pollution values and flammability all stand at zero, as does the number of dependencies! Important Note:

The people displayed on these lots are affected by the ingame day and night cycles. Even if you haven't set it to shift through day and night, they will disappear at 20:00 and come out the following morning at 08:00. You can use the cheat of "whattimeizit" followed by the desired time if you want to see them on demand.

Mod Edit: Fixed broken description formatting.
