About This File

The PEG Terrain Kit (7 n 1)
By Pegasus

This package contains a number of separate files, mainly Mayor Mode Ploppables (MMP) that are widely used for terrain detailing.

The number of available files has been continuously growing over the years - causing a steadily growing list of dependencies as well, tedious to keep track of, download one-by-one or having to list them again and again.

To make things easier we decided to organize a selection of these files into one single pack, so for users it will be much easier to download, while producers can just list them as a single dependency. Since most of these files are very slim, we feel this is appropriate - it is not a huge pack to download and it's organized to leave you in full control which items to load into your plugins.

The 'Kit' bundles the following sets:

* PEG PPond Kit
* PEG PP Lot Editor Terrain Props
* PEG PPond Terrain Prop Pack 1
* PEG MTP Mayor Mode Forest Scenes Mod
* PEG MTP Mayor Mode Forest Flora Mod
* PEG MTP Mayor Mode Logging Scenes Mod
* PEG MTP Mayor Mode Scrub Brush Mod

NOTICE

There is NO NEW MATERIAL in this package. It is merely a compilation of previously published material. And of course every single component will stay available on the PLEX as well.

So those of you that have been MTP'ing for some time will not need this pack as you most probably have downloaded all the individual sets long time ago... But all folks new to MTP or terrain detailing or even preparing a fresh install might find this useful.

When you unpack this download you'll find a folder 'Documentation' including the following material -

* complete set of the original ReadMe files with images
* complete listing of all included files, useful for version control
* complete listing of URLs pointing to the (still available) individual downloads
* a few notes on this or that... ;-)

Store the documentation anywhere outside your Plugins, for future reference...

All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

A set of turbulences for your rivers and streams.

You'll find narrow and wide pieces, both in straight and diagonal versions. They all sit on a 1x1 transparent lot and can be combined with PEG-PPond (Tahoe), PEG-Pond and PEG-Stream or ploppable waters by other creators as well.

      LIST OF ITEMS
Narrow Short Straight Narrow Long Straight Narrow Short Diagonal Narrow Long Diagonal Wide Short Straight Wide Long Straight Wide Short Diagonal Wide Long Diagonal
Each piece comes in 2 variations that plop at random (16 models all in all).

      DEPENDENCIES

      ~ none ~

Recommended to use with Free Waters Mod.

      DEVELOPER NOTES

The turbulences are batted props (instead of the textures used in Vol 01), so there are less straight edges and a bit of overlap onto the next tile.
You can combine them with any ploppable water and to some extent also with Pond and Stream pieces, mainly the straight items.
Some of the pieces are also suitable to make transitions between the various available waters - just be creative and find the right combinations.
There are no other props on these lots - so you have complete freedom to dress them with any Major Mode Flora that suits your theme.

The Turbulences and Transitions Volume 01 (texture based) is available to download here.

      Thanks xannepan!
This one is a MMP set based on Xannepan's trees for the Quais de Seine waterfront set. It has 24 different trees and 3 different fallen leaves, organized on 4 groups available on the mayor mode flora menu.
The groups are divided by season (autumn, winter and summer/spring), but the MMPs aren't seasonal, so they don't change according to the game date.

      A Painter's Patch

This will help the landscape painters among us - once installed you will be able to brush any flora MMPs right up to the shore and into the water of lakes, ponds, streams and rivers using ploppable water coming from SimPeg... You can camouflage any fixed shoreline or just create your own shores completely, no more plain straights and empty curves... ;-)

Aside from tweaking the shore lines you can 'paint' MMPs inside the water without using any extenders or other workarounds.

      This patch will work for

      * PEG Ponds

      * PEG Streams

      * PEG PPonds (Tahoe, including PEG Culverts and PEG Fords)

      * PPond Canal Kit (inc. Docks, Locks and Bridges)

      * SPAM Irrigation Canals (SPIC)

      DEPENDENCIES

      ~ none ~

Though the patches make only sense if you use any of the listed packages ;o)

      DEVELOPER NOTES

After unpacking you'll find a folder 'zzz_Free_Waters' - it doesn't really need to be the very last thing to load, but make sure it loads after all ponds, streams and pponds...

For a bonus the folder contains new larger water tiles as well - for the Ponds an additional 4x4 piece, for the Tahoe additional 2x2 and 4x4 pieces. They are in the 'Parks' menue along with the other water tiles.

Note: The installed patch will NOT take effect on already plopped landscapes. You need to either re-plop existing ponds and streams or just save it all for your new developments ;o)

And a word of caution - take it easy, brush by brush... else, before you know it, there is no more water to be seen!

      KrashSpeed’s Mailbox Set

First I would like to give credit where it’s due.

I made the props, contributed a few ideas and a few suggestions.

SimCoug deserves most of the credit. This mod was his idea; he made the prop families, mmp’s, icons, and the read me.

      ======================================================================================

      DESCRIPTION:
Could you go 10 years without receiving a single piece of mail? Well, your Sims have - but that is about to change!
This is an all encompassing set of mail props that will cover your Sims postal needs from drop-off to delivery.

      WHAT'S INCLUDED?
      Props:
-10 different single mailbox props for each wealth level ($, $$, $$$ - 30 total models)
-14 different mailbox cluster props (seen in housing developments, etc)
-10 different mailbox unit props (often used in apartment complexes, etc)
-9 different post box props from 8 different countries (where you Sims can drop off outgoing mail)

      MMPs:
-Mailbox$_MMP allows you to plop 10 low wealth mailboxes
-Mailbox$$_MMP allows you to plop 10 medium wealth mailboxes
-Mailbox$$$_MMP allows you to plop 10 high wealth mailboxes
-MailboxCluster_MMP allows you to plop 14 different mailbox clusters
-MailboxUnits_MMP allows you to plop 10 different mailbox units
-PostBoxes_All_MMP allows you to plop each of the different countries post boxes
-PostBoxes_(different country name)_MMP allows you to plop the post box of the country of your choice (multiple clicks changes the orientation)

      Prop Families:
For those who use the Lot Editor, appropriate prop families have been created with these props in order to allow you to get more variety when creating lots.

      DEPENDENCIES:
None! But this should be considered a dependency pack for future lots that include these props.

      INSTALLATION:
Simply unzip the file and put place the folder in your plugins.
The 'Model' folder should remain in your plugin folder, but you can pick and choose which MMP files to include depending on you preference.

      DEVELOPER NOTES:

      SUPPORT:
For questions regarding this set, please feel free to visit Krashspeed's Test Area.

      SPECIAL THANKS:
Thanks to the gang over at SimPeg for all their suggestions and encouragement.

      Models not made by me.
      MMPS made by Ernestmaxis
      This zip only contains MMP's!
863 MMP's each files are 90 dedgree turnable!
When clicking multiple times model will turn in mayor mode.

Please remove the previous files you downloaded from me:
      Dutch prop pack MMP 1.0.0
      MMP's (v. 1.0)

I have changed the TGI range from over 267 MMP so the range that I use is more efficient.
I you dont remove the previous MMP's you will have different objects when you try to rotate the object because of the same used ranges.
      Or you will get conflicts!!!
Thanks for the help from all men on the community on Simtropolis and Simcity devotion!
      Hope you enjoy them!

      Tip for Damn Manager users:
For every object you will safe in your plugin the Damn Manager will make a DAMN_Root.dat.
You also need to remove the Damn_roots for the item you have safed of the previous MMP of my packs.
Refresh the Damn Menu items because your new MMP's have new corrected range.

    • Boom! Another great HT here! Hope Mr Tsvirkunov will open a new factory soon in my cities! Thanks for sharing your stuff!
    • Nice idea. Should anyone have preferences or favourite buildings they recall, it would certainly help narrow down the total. Especially with the filter list on the Wayback, the accompanying preview images are there at least to give some visual indication for anyone searching. If there really are 10,000 buildings, I suppose it's not even worth uploading 10% of them given the likely inconsistencies with quality.
    • It may be worth setting up some kind of "I would like ..." topic .... people can go thru the old exchange and point out to Cori the ones that should be retrieved ... it should end up a more manageable list
    • That could be arranged. But since these are legacy files, I don't think it matters too much either way since credit would be given. If Cori would like to continue uploading these (as intended following Dirk's approval), it may be nice for her to receive the occasional Rep as a by-product reward for retrieving, packaging and uploading them here. With hundreds if not thousands of them, it'd require a mammoth effort after all. (Should the quality of content resemble anything to the old SC4 EA exchange, I'm guessing it's not worth restoring all of them.)
    • Very nice, too bad the Grass Textures dont match my Terrain Mod
