SPAM - Single & Diagonal Ploppable Fields

Sim City Mayors can be tricky customers to work with at the best of times, especially if they 'absolutely want' say a tomato field in a certain place for a certain reason. The answer of course is for a friendly lotter to whip up a quick 1x1 lot. You would then be forgiven for thinking that everyone would now be happy... but ooh noo... if only life were so simple!

To compound matters further, then of course, inevitably, an even really, really, fussier mayor will come along that now demands that he absolutely wants to put his tomato rows on an irregularly shaped field, ...but on a transparent tile, thank you very much, if you please, because let's face it the the dreaded diagonal zig zag look of base textures is to be absolutely avoided... because well... that looks really really naff... even though Simcity custom content developers have been trying for years to overcome this particular visual scourge.

Can these demands be satisfied? Should we even attempt to satisfy them?

Well yes.. and yes if it suits us to and if we feel like it... then we would probably come up with something like this:

Contents:
Crop Singles 1x1 (8 lots)
Crop Diagonals 1x1 (10 lots)
Tree Singles 1x1 (8 lots)
Tree Diagonals 1x1 (8 lots)

Important Note:
When plopping some of seasonal crops (eg: wheat, rye, barley) they will not appear for a full game year seasonal cycle. The seasonal crop singles will plop with only a base texture, and the seasonal diagonal crops will appear to be initially invisible, (without props) until the first seasonal cycle is complete. To speed up the process, simply put the game on cheetah speed (ctrl - 3) and the crops will appear and then cycle as normal.

These lots are ideal for planting certain types of crops in specific areas, making small repairs to zoned and grown crop fields, and also provides a quick fix for the 'no access zot' problem that affects some variable shaped lot (VSL) zones.

Stats:
Menu - Park (at or towards the end)
plop cost - $1-8
Bulldoze - $1
Pollution - 2|1|0|0

Dependencies:

SPAM Super Resource Pack
Note: If you already have the full core SPAM mod this pack is not required.

Installation:

      Quay House, by Mattb325.
      ---------------------------------------
Inspired by the art deco buildings around the Portsmouth, UK area, Quay House is a large (at least by the standards of the 1930s) eight story building in the functionalist style.
The boxy building is broken up by complex massing and many terraces to allow air and sunlight to permeate the building, both of which were a very serious component of any good early 20th Century architecture. The main feature however is the off-centred granite clad staircase and lift riser with an oversized clock.

The lot comes in two flavours: a growable High-Wealth Commercial Office and a ploppable Clinic, which is found in the Health Menu and is comparable to the in-game hospital in terms of capacity and coverage radius. Both lots are 3x3.
      ---------------------------------------

NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE:
This download contains TWO model files; one for dark nite users (and other night-time darkening mods, such as Gizmos night-mod) and one for the standard Maxis nite.
You must keep only one file - depending on which version you use. If you are unsure whether you have a night-darkening mod installed, then choose the Maxis night version. Regardless of which file you choose to keep, make sure you DO NOT delete the Lot File!
If you use the dark nite version, you will need a dark nite mod.

      A NOTE ABOUT PARKING TEXTURES:
Sadly, if there appears to be any parking used in the content picture as either part of, or adjacent to the custom content in question, it has now come to the ridiculous scenario of having to write a blurb about parking textures given yet more comments received form only one or two users (comments which incidentally are only made on my lots - I note that other active Batters use Maxis parking lots all the time and receive no negative comments, such is the double-standard). Please note that I will use whatever parking textures I feel like on my lots. If you want something else, then use the lot editor.
Please also note, that this particular lot is only a 3x3 so what you see in the picture is a separate lot placed behind the building; you are therefore free to place your own parking lot or not (as the case may be).

To install, simply unzip the contents of this file into your plugins folder.

A set of turbulences for your rivers and streams.

You'll find narrow and wide pieces, both in straight and diagonal versions. They all sit on a 1x1 transparent lot and can be combined with PEG-PPond (Tahoe), PEG-Pond and PEG-Stream or ploppable waters by other creators as well.

      LIST OF ITEMS
Narrow Short Straight Narrow Long Straight Narrow Short Diagonal Narrow Long Diagonal Wide Short Straight Wide Long Straight Wide Short Diagonal Wide Long Diagonal
Each piece comes in 2 variations that plop at random (16 models all in all).

      DEPENDENCIES

      ~ none ~

Recommended to use with Free Waters Mod.

      DEVELOPER NOTES

The turbulences are batted props (instead of the textures used in Vol 01), so there are less straight edges and a bit of overlap onto the next tile.
You can combine them with any ploppable water and to some extent also with Pond and Stream pieces, mainly the straight items.
Some of the pieces are also suitable to make transitions between the various available waters - just be creative and find the right combinations.
There are no other props on these lots - so you have complete freedom to dress them with any Major Mode Flora that suits your theme.

The Turbulences and Transitions Volume 01 (texture based) is available to download here.

Hi, @SimCoug. I'm trying your farmhouses but they don't seem to be compatible with SPAM (or it's me just fracking up as usual ). When I try them by themselves they grow OK (I suppose we have to plop fields and pastures around them -- that's fine with me the MMP fiend) ; they apparently also grow as just-houses right in the middle of a town -- hmm.... But when I try to arrange for one of the them, say the 5x5, to grow in an adequately cleared 5x5 space in a SPAM field, no cigar. Can you enlighten me ?
