About This File

For those of you who need a clean slate to build your dream city, I have created an empty map. I have used Neidhards' Cities XL map editor. The map is based on the example map, so many thanks to him for both the tool and the map. This map has 100% connections, 100% fertile area's and 100% fuel. The map replaces the Mount st. Helens map. Copy both files from the archive to the paks folder and you're ready to go!

User Feedback

Hi! sorry but I want to know which maps to fit Cities XL2011? That means maps of Cities? CXL2011 but somehow I do not see the game of flat land with oil, water, soil slaughtered, and good tourism! please help me. Is this site are Pilikia with a map that fits XL2011? Thank you. Gabrielle

yo u have no water on this map and 100% fertile areas makes no sense. also Holidays suck... horrible
[/quote]

Listen, fertile areas don't have anything to do with the surface water.
Fertile areas are where farmers plant crops, like an area where there used to be water.
Holidays may suck[s], but it's a good way to get money, I think/[/s]because the hotels are there to take up place

This is unbearable! How do I solve the textures problem? Also, each time i place anything, especially roads, it takes a lot of time for the game to do it....

hey..
downloaded this map but its dreadful. The darkness of the map itself is really bad, plus it inherits alot of major shadows when placing roads/ buildings etc.

I wish people would upload their .rar files for map editor importation textures.
at the moment im trying to make my own maps, including a falt blank map, similar to this. Having looked around, i pretty much figured out how to make the maps, but when loading the game map ingame. the game crashes.

I know this is a very old post now, but is it possible if you could give us all the textures prior to compiling them into a ptach file using the map editor?
Would be nice to see what im doing wrong.

thanks.

The game is badly optimized, it is impossible to run and the graphics engine sucks too.

This month we're hoping for a little bit of a boost this month or next, in addition to covering the regular bills, we could benefit from some hardware upgrades. STEX Collector's Set gifts can now be sent to you via digital download as well as regular mail if you wish! Every donation dollar goes toward keeping Simtropolis online and humming along. Your contribution counts! Hardware Upgrades As our website community software improves with more and more features, and as we bolt on additional features such as chat, the increased load to handle all these new toys is taking the server a bit to task. You may have noticed that we'd been forced to temporarily disable the chat as we worked out allocating resources for more optimal performance. Following this, we've applied a number of 'soft' changes such as caching options and experimented with server configurations (nginx as proxy, for example), so the hardware aspect is also an area we'd like to focus on. The last time we upgraded hardware was back in 2012, prior to the release of SC13. Your contribution means a lot! Your donation will go toward helping us to 1.) migrate to a newer server or 2.) at least get some ram/cpu/storage updates and any other infrastructure hardware or services. Donate and Get a Gift or Donate Any Amount Thanks so much! - Dirktator & The Admins

    • @Tyberius06 ... I do not want you to think that I am ignoring you - I simply do not have the time to look into it this week. Hopefully, I can examine it this weekend.
    • Very nice huzman! Thanks for the upload!
    • I remember this one :-) It's a true classic in the SC3000 community.
