About This File

Want some variety for your R$ Sims? Tired of the drab purpose built tenements? Why not house your R$ residents in the history of a once grand, but now faded home?

These 2.5-storied terraces, based on one in Surry Hills, were speculatively built around 1870 in an early Victorian Franco-Italianate style and feature 14ft ceilings to the 1st and 2nd floors, recessed entrances & large arched windows to the principal rooms: during the 20’s it was carved up into 6 flats & left to decay.

But, because old city homes don’t stay run-down for long, included in this download is the first stage (still R$) of the renovators’ dream: the middle & end terraces are sold & the new owners start to paint & renovate.

Then, as the final terrace is sold (the house is now R$$) the renovation is complete. Surely that’s not a faux Victorian kitchen conservatory addition out the back…oh dear, there goes the neighbourhood.

Stats Little Riley St Terrace:
Stage 1 house: 35 R$ on a 1x2 lot (NY/Chicago). Grows on medium density stage 3
Stage 2 house: 28 R$ on a 1x2 lot (NY/Chicago). Grows on medium density stage 3
Stage 3 house: 25 R$$ (back to 35 R$ when dilapidated) on a 1x2 lot (NY/Chicago). Grows on medium density stage 4

Dependencies:
My “The Great Australian Outdoor Toilet Prop Pack” (included). Part of the great Australian tradition, now available to all of your Sims: the dingy, bug infested toilet at the end of the back-yard. Contains four models. (Redback spiders not included).

Unzip both to your Plugins folder: this is my second upload to the STEX and third BAT. Hope you enjoy it!

Hi Community We're here again to ask you for your support to help us keep the site and the STEX up and running. Simtropolis runs solely on the support of members like you through donations to help us offset the operational costs of running the site. As you know, we've always relied on community donations to help keep the website running. And while all our admins and moderators volunteer their time to managing the site and community, we do have modest expenses that we need to cover each month which includes our server hosting fees, software and support licenses, etc. So lately, we've experienced a slump with donations and we're beginning to feel the pinch! We would really appreciate your support by way of a donation of any amount in order to keep the site up and running. Of course, as always, we'll send you a gift with a minimum donation as a Thank You. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to PM me!  Sincerely; Dirktator & The Admins PS. Thank you to those who have stepped up and donated -- we really appreciate it!

      Dependencies
More than one dependency this time. Please note that you have to be registered in order to download the files at the LEX (I guess most of you already are).
BSC MEGA Props CP Vol01 --  really popular, most of you should already have this.
BSC MEGA Props CP Vol 02 -- again, quite popular.
LBT Mega Prop Pack vol.01 --  same as the last two. Also, you should already have this if you've downloaded my previous files.
Romualdillo Props VOL01 -- this should be the only dependency that you probably don't have yet. I also suggest checking out Romualdillo's incredibly detailed and superb spanish houses here.

You can follow my work here. Enjoy!

      Metro City II (Part b)
      BAT created by bixel

Check out the Hong Kong /Asia BAT Team room at Simtropolis
      Introduction / Overview
This is a recreation of Metro City II, a huge residential complex from Hong Kong, CN. It is so huge (21x6 tiles in total) that it had to be split. This is the second half. You can use it as a standalone building or together with the first half, the choice is yours. The halves have been modelled in a way that they can stand alone without looking too silly. This also has the advantage that you can play around with them and make some fictitious complexes if you like.
In real life, Metro City II is one of three Private Residential Complexes in the area, and at least four Public Housing Estates are located next to it. It is currently the largest residential and commercial development in the Tseung Kwan O area. Metro City II itself is composed of 6,800 residential units distributed over 11 towers of 44 floors each that stand on a common landscaped base. The towers rise to a height of 137 m (448 ft), and the complex was completed in the year 2000. It was built by DLN Architects & Engineering; other companies involved in its construction include Henderson Land Development, Heng Tat Construction Co. Ltd, and Mengyin Xinhua Stone Materials Co., Ltd..
Both residential growables and landmark versions of the two halves (Part a and b) come in two versions: regular and transit-enabled.
The benefit of the regular versions is that you can plop or grow them directly back to back (see included instruction picture). This recreates the real-life configuration of Metro City II, and both halves will align virtually seamlessly, provided they are on perfectly flat land. The entrance roads will be hidden under the base of the building. If you use the halves as individual buildings, however, you will be unable to connect the roads to any network. This had to be done because if the road tiles had been transit-enabled, the game wouldn't allow you to place both lots right next to another.
The transit-enabled version cannot be used to place both halves seamlessly together; due to the technical particularities of transit-enabled tiles (see above), there must be at least one tile between the transit-enabled back sides of both halves - ideally a road. This also means that the transit-enabled versions are more suitable if you want to use one half on its own, as a standalone structure.
      The following lots are included:
