  1. The old CSK2 Avenue Draw Bridge has been modified for use with the new PPond Kit.  They now pull double-duty and can be used both with PPond ploppable water as well as the PPond Canals.
In addition to adding the new PPond water, the bridge and bridge houses have also been modified and re-textured. They now look a bit more weathered & worn.

The new lots are the same size (4x3)... and use the same custom timed props that open and close the bridge several times each day. The lot has also been slightly modified so any existing instances of it in your cities should be replopped.
All other aspects and properties of this are the same as the CSK2 original.
    * When the bridges are open, traffic will continue to cross the bridge. Lots such as this can not modify that behavior of the game. However, the traffic has been visually blocked when the bridges are open... so you will not see cars magically flying across open water. When the bridges are closed, you will see traffic crossing the bridge as with any other bridge in the game.

The PPond Canals are designed to replace the older CSK2 Canals. Accordingly, this lot directly replaces the original CSK2 Draw Bridge lot. Once the new files are installed, you should remove the old CSK2 Draw Bridge folder and files.
** This lot requires the PEG-PPond Canal Kit
and the PEG-CSK Scows Prop Pack

  2. The old CSK2 Lift Bridges have been modified for use with the new PPond Kit.  This single package replaces both the original CSK2 Road Lift Bridges and the CSK2 Rail Lift Bridge.

There are 3 bridges in total; the single-width Road bridge, the single-width Rail bridge and the double-width Avenue bridge. All bridges are designed for canls that are 2 tiles wide.
    * For wider canals, use the  PPond  Avenue Drawbridge & Swing Bridges.

In  addition to adding the new PPond water, the bridges have been remodeled to apear more weathered & worn.

The new lots are the same size (1x2 & 2x2)... and use the same custom timed props that open and close the bridge several times each day. Only the models have been changed and as such, any existing lots in your cities will not need to be replopped. Existing lots will update automatically once the file is installed.

Accordingly, this lot directly replaces the original CSK2 Road Lift Bridges & the CSKRail Lift Bridge. Once the new files are installed, you should remove the old CSK2 Lift Bridge folders and files.
** These lots has no Dependencies.

  3. The Eternal Rewards Pack is a collection of chapels & churches designed to supplement... and optionally replace... the game-default & non-denominational Houses of Worship (HOWs). The pack includes conditional & non-conditional variations... as well as separate versions for the MTP. Each variant & version is in a separate file so you can control which to have installed or not.

    * These are decidedly Christian Churches. They are not intended to offend or exclude any single person or specific faith. Nor are they designed to appeal to followers of all faiths and religions. Any posted comments intended to incite debate, will be removed. Think of these like fast food joints. If I make a McDonald's it doesn't mean that I also have to make a Burger King.  ;-)

The Eternal Rewards Pack contains the following:
    1. Default Replacements - Four new church lots that directly replace the originals. These have the same reward requirements and function exactly like the original reward chain in that they will become available one-at-a-time at different growth stages of your city. There can also be only one of each church in any city. These churches use the same icon as the default rewards
    * Note - The first 3 churches have the same 3x3 lot size as the default versions. The 4th church is a larger 4x5 lot. Any instances of the original rewards already existing in your cities will have to be replopped

    2. MTP Versions - Four new church lots for use with the MTP. These also function like the originals but have reduced requirements for the generally smaller populations of MTP & rural cities. These churches use a unique icon that should appear directly below the game-default HOW icon(s) in the Reward menu.

    * Note - Icons for these conditional rewards will not appear until you have earned them. They are part of a reward chain and you will receive messages from your Advisors (if activated) when they become available.

    3. Sand Box Version - The same four default replacement lots... except they have been modified to be non-conditional and you can plop as many of each as you want. But be advised that unlike the conditional rewards, these have a plop and monthly maintenance cost.... similar to that of a large park. Other properties are similar to a large park as well... but they are technically Civic buildings and their costs will be reflected in the Government Budget Window. These churches use a unique icon that should appear directly below the game-default icons in the Reward menu.
    * Note - All four of the icons for these non-conditional "sand box" versions will always be visible and available in the Rewards menu.

    4. MTP Sand Box Version - The same four MTP version lots... except they too have been modified to be non-conditional and you can plop as many of each as you want. They also have  plop and monthly maintenance costs.... similar to that of a large park.
    * Note - These also have a unique icon that will always be visible and available in the Rewards menu.

Except for the first available variation/level of each version, these lots have also had jobs added to them... so you will need to ensure they have a road connection. The 1st variation of each version remains jobless so it can be plopped remotely or along non-functional roads.

** The MTP versions of these lots require the
    MTP Super Pack.

  4. Old Huck has been running Finn's Landing for as long as anyone can remember. If you want to rent a boat, buy some bait or a cool drink... or just listen to stories of the old days on the river... then Finn's Landing is the place to go. Some say he must be over a hundred years old by now. Some say even older. But old Huck will still kick yer butt at Checkers every time... and still takes his beloved old raft out on the river from time to time. When passing by..  if you listen closely on a still and quiet night, you may still hear old Huck strumming the old banjo.

This is a "2-fer" lot (2 for 1)... meaning that there are 2 lots for the price of one. Both lots are identical visually. One version is a pure eye-candly park plop that can be plopped anywhere. The other version is a RCI ploppable (CS$ - Landmarks menu) with jobs... that has to have road access. Both lots should be plopped on level or near-level land.
    * Both lots are 2x2 in size... with a dock that extends beyond the lot for easy placement over your favorite water lots or ploppable water props.

Although considered to be a 'PPond' lot, it does not require the PPond Kit as a dependency. The mill can be used with any ground-level ploppable water props.

    * The lot(s) are nitelited and include custom queries... and custom background & query sound effects. In the query for the CS$ version, the 'Boats Rowed" stat will increase as your city grows.
** These lots require the MTP SUPER PACK

  5. If you can't go over or around... or under... go through.
This is a collection of 3 ford style lots for use with the PEG PPonds. All three lots are 1x1 and fully Transit Enabled for streets. They come in 3 flavors... Rock, Stone & Concrete.

These lots are technically parks and are located in the Parks Menu along with the other PPond ploppable lots. However, except for a very low landmark value, they have no park-like properties. They are cheap to plop and even cheaper to maintain.
These lots are also fully Transit Enabled (for pedestrians, cars, trucks & buses) and you will see cars partially submerge in the water  as they cross. They have a small, built-in commute delay (like a toll booth) to simulate the slowly down that drivers with average or better IQs would normally do when driving through water.

    * Although Transit Enabled, the lots can also be used with non-functional roads and paths like the Logging Roads, Forrest Trails, etc...

** These lots have no direct dependencies...
but are designed for use with the:
    PEG PPond Kit

  6. This mod adds many new Terrain props to your Mayor Flora menu that you can use for Terrain Detailing and to further enhance the look of your PPond waterways. Although they are designed to expand the collection of ploppable terrain and shore props included with the PPond Kit, these props can be used anywhere in your cities to add extra detail to your terrain. The PPond Kit is not required in order to use these ploppable props.

    Whats Included:
    1. Wild Flowers - Four wild flower textures that can be plopped anywhere to add a splash of natural color to your terrain. Semi-transparent and easily overlayed to create small patches of flowers as thick or thin, large or small, as you want. We refer to them as Daisies, "Vandy" Lions, Prairie Rose & Poppies (white, yellow, purple & orange) but they can be any type of flowers you wish them to be.
    2. Grasses - Two new grassy textures to add a little extra green to any area. Looks good down by the water or to help blend in barren rocky areas with the grassy terrain. Can be "painted" on thickly to created lush lawns or fields of grass. Comes in a lighter Grass texture and a darker Clover texture.
    3. Leaves - Similar to the grassy textures... but in a shade of brown that can be used to add the look of fallen leaves and foliage in any area. Looks good under trees. Can also be used as a dirt path or to add light patches of dirt to any grassy area. Very flexible with lots of potential uses.
    4. Ballast - A gravel texture designed to add the ballast along rail lines that the game forgot. In a brownish tone to match the dirt shoulders and edges of the PEG Rail textures and the MTP Road, Street & Avenue mods. Can be used to create paths or anywhere that a brownish gravel is desired.
    5. Rip-Rap - A dark, rocky texture of the type commonly seen along waterfronts, harbors and breakwaters. Can be plopped underwater. Useful for adding a "man was here" look to terrain along your coastlines.
    6. Sand  - Simpy referred to as "Sand 2", this is an extra, slightly darker version of the Sand  texure included with the PPond Kit.

    7. Gravel  - A texture similar to the Pebble texture, but smaller and denser.
    8. Weeds  - In rotating groups of 5.. both lush green & dead brown... ranging from small to large and clumps. Ideal for adding that "natural" (ie... neglected) look to your terrain. The green weeds also double as reeds along waterways. Both groups can be "planted" in rows to simulate crops. The taller weeds look very much like corn plants.
    9. Dead Trees  - A rotating collection of 5 dead trees... ranging in size from a small bush to a tall, naked pine. Also includes a large dead oak and a fallen dead pine. We sorta hate to put anything dead in our beautiful forests. But lightning sucks & trees can't duck. It happens. Get over it. And yes... when  a tree falls in the forest, it makes one Hell of a racket... no matter who's around to hear it.

    * The various ploppable props are grouped into separate files so you can easily remove certain groups of props if you do not want to use them.
    * These files also include normal (non-ploppable) versions of the props so they can be used in the Lot Editor on your own custom lots.
    ** No dependencies.

  7. If you can't go over or around... go under.
This is a collection of 4 culvert style lots for the PEG PPonds. Three of the 4 lots are for use with the Mayor Menu ploppable PEG PPond Kit ploppable props for creating streams and rivers. The 4th lot is for use with the PEG-PPond Channel/Canal lots. Collectively, these lots will allow you to add additional realism and character to your PPond rivers, streams and canals.
All of the lots are 1x1 in size. They are technically Park lots... but have no park-like particles added. The Canal Culvert appears in the Water Transportation menu along with the other PPond Channel lots. The stream culverts appear in the Parks menu along with the PPond ploppable lots.
The Canal Culvert is designed to be plopped on level land. The stream Culverts, however, can be plopped either on level land or on terrain that has been recessed for a stream or river. On recessed terrain, the culverts will blend in with the sloped terrain and be partially covered by it. The models have been designed to allow close placement of ploppable terrain props, such as plants and rocks & earth textures...  to help blend them in visually with the surrounding terrain.
The culverts can be plopped singularly... or in pairs on either side of a roads or rails, etc...
** These lots have no direct dependencies...
but are designed for use with the:
PEG PPond Kit and the PEG-PPond Canal Kit

  9. MTP abcvs Education School Pack
After many years of languishing at the bottom of the PEGPROD production queue, the long awaited, highly anticipated and highly vaunted MTP abcvs Education Pack is here! Well by one guy at least anyway…

In a rare and blinding display of international trans-pacific US/NZ cooperation and collective brilliance, that has taken the best part of a year, Pegasus and abcvs.. (who?!), have joined together to bring you these pixilated productions of esteemed educational perfection!

There comes a time in every MTP community when the ‘Old School House’ is simply not big enough to cater for all the little Sims that need to be edumacated to make them all intelegin enteligen intellyligent  brainy and smart, so they can then go work in Big John’s Mine, the PEG-MTP Saw Mill, the NBVC Lumber Yard or for the ever so slightly prissy and those who object to the smell of engine oil, infused with saw dust, the PEG-MTP Corner Starbucks.

This pack contains five re-styled Maxis education lots…

    · The MTP Grade School

    · The MTP Large Grade School

    · The MTP High School

    · The MTP Large High School

    · The MTP Community College

    Features of the lots include:

    * More rural looking Mountain Theme Pack styled Education Facilities, to suit virtually any sized mountain or rural themed tile.

    * Custom MTP themed query windows.

    * Extended coverage for the Grade School, High School, Large Grade School and Large High School.

    * Car parks have been moved to the front of the lots for more realistic road access. Apparently this has annoyed the crap out of Pegasus for years.

    * If the PEG One Flag Many Nations mod is installed the flag of your choice will be present on the Grade Schools. Without the OFMN mod installed, no flag will be displayed.

    * All costs remain the same as their Maxis default versions.

    * These re-styled education lots were designed to compliment the Mountain Theme Pack but have been engineered to have a minimal dependence on it. These lots can be used in any non-urban setting / city without the need to move the required files in and out of the plugins folder when switching between different city types or styles.
** These lots require installation of the MTP SuperPack

**Optional - One Flag Many Nations Mod

  10. A moment of reflective silence please as we mourn the death of the PEG CSK2.
    .....
    .....
    [sigh].....

Now... let's celebrate the rebirth of the CSK2 as the new PPond Canal Kit !!.  The entire collection of variable-width CSK2 Canal Kit lots have been remodeled to use the new PPond style water.  Not only does this allow you to seamlessly transition  PPond rivers and lakes with canals.... but now you can also use any of the CSK2 specialty lots... like the Docks, Bridges, Extender lots and the Small Port... anywhere along a PPond river or lake.

If the significance of this has not yet struck home... let's clarify.   We just added a ton of double-duty new PPond lots to your toy box... without  adding a zillion and one new menu icons. The PPond Kit just got about 4 times larger... and now includes a fully integrated Canal System, Industrial Docks and a functional Seaport that can be used along any PPond ploppable waterway. The Scows, the Barges, the functional Water Taxis... they're all now available for use with the PPond Kit.
    Freak out.

    * Most of the CSK2 specialty lots do not have the canal concrete side walls... and can therefore be used and blend in with the natural-looking banks of PPond rivers and lakes.

This single download replaces all of the previous CSK2 files... except for the Small Port and the various bridge lots. Once installed, any CSK2 lots installed in your cities are updated automatically. You will not need to replop the lots... with a few exceptions for some of the specialty lots. The lot's menu icons remain the same &. in the same menu locations you are accustomed to.

This new PPond Canal Kit directly replaces the following files... which can be deleted:
    * CSK2
    * CSK2 Add-On
    * CSK2 Fountains
    * CSK2 Docks      (Re-plop Lots)
    * CSK2 Water Taxis     (Re-plop Lots & Reconnect Subway Tunnels)
    * CSK2 Annabellelin Restaurant     (Re-plop Lots. Keep the RESOURCE file)

This new PPond Canal Kit does not change the following files... which you should keep:
    * CSK2 Scows
    * CSK2 Random Traffic
    * CSK2 Small Port      (Re-plop Lots)

    * The CSK2 Lift Bridges and 3x Bridge kits will be updated separately and should also be retained for now. The Locks are also scheduled to go under the knife. Patches/Updates to certain files will be released  separately.

    * The single tile width CSK Canals will not be remodeled to be compatible with the PPond system. However, included as a separate file with this package is a new CSK Flood Gate transition lot that can be used to blend the original CSK Canals to the new PPond Canals. Once installed, the new transition lot will appear in your Water Transportation menu along with the other CSK lots. If you do not use the CSK single-width Canals, you can remove the file once installed.
** These lots require the following:
    PEG PPond Kit
    PEG CSK Barges

  11. For your nostalgic pleasure... an old stream mill... for your Old Mill Stream. If you are old enough to know the song, so much the better.
I hope you have Dental... 'cause this baby is pure candy. It delightfully takes pleasure in serving absolutely no functional purpose whatsoever... other than to just look cool along your rivers and streams.
Water mills have been in use since Ancient times. However, by the early 20th century, availability of cheap electrical energy made the water mill obsolete in developed countries although some smaller rural mills continued to operate commercially into the 1960s. Used in their day to power a wide range of machinery for various industrial purposes, those mills that remain today have either been abandoned, maintained as tourist attractions, or have been updated or re-purposed for some other function.
This lot is a park... located in your Park menu... with a fair amount of landmark value as old water mills such as this are tourist magnets. The lot is 2x2 tiles in size and requires power for the nitelites.  It is designed to be plopped on level land... with the 2 water tiles in front of it also level with the lot.
Although considered to be a 'PPond' lot, it does not require the PPond Kit as a dependency. The mill can be used with any ground-level ploppable water props.
I lied about the non-functional bit. There is a semi-functional second, RCI Industrial Manufacturing ploppable version with jobs that is also included in this package. That version is located in your Landmarks menu and requires road access.

    * The lot(s) are nitelited and include custom queries... and custom background & query sound effects. In the query for the IND-M version, the 'Revolutions Per Minute" stat will increase as your city grows.
** These lots require the MTP SUPER PACK

  12. Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water... they change the freakin' water!!
The new PEG PPond Kit  will  allow you to customize the look of your cities in ways you have yet begun to imagine. More than just ploppable water, the PPond Kit is a vast collection of ploppable props you can use to "super detail" any part of your city... on any terrain... be it totally flat or a sculpted masterpiece. Take the phone off the hook and lock the door.  You're gonna be busy for quite a long time.
The PPond Kit is a collection of both Mayor Flora Menu ploppable props and normal ploppable lots. It includes everything you need to "paint" realistic lakes, rivers and streams all over your cities... including waterfalls and ponds with lilly pads & cattails. Custom lots are also included to add animated sparkle effects to the water... and turbulence effects & sound at the bottom of waterfalls and dams.
Ploppable water is nothing new... but it has always had the one drawback of looking unrealistic along the barren shoreline where water meets grass. That is no longer an issue. The PPond Kit includes a large collection of ploppable shoreline props, including pebble, sand and mossy textures... along with rocks and boulders... that can be plopped or painted, overlayed and mixed together to easliy create amazingly detailed shorelines. Just plop or hold down the mouse button and paint... no terrain editing required.
All of the Shoreline props pull double duty as they are not limited to use along waterways. They can be used anywhere to add extra features to your terrain and even freely paint pathways through your parks and forests. Your imagination is the only limit.*
    * There are actually other limits. We just said that there weren't because its such a catchy phrase... and its good marketing.
The list of what you can do with this kit is just too extensive to discuss here...  In the mean time, here is a list of the items included with this initial package:
    Flora Menu Ploppables:
    1. 1x Water Tile.
Use this to plop water anywhere in your city. Hold down the mouse button and drag to literally "paint" water onto the terrain. The tile is very slope tolerant and can be used to paint streams down mountain sides. For lakes and ponds, level terrain is best.
    2. 1/4 Water Tile.
Smaller version of the Water Tile... for those hard to reach spaces.
    3. 1x Water Tile with Water Lillies.
Use this to plop Water Lillies anywhere in your lakes or ponds. Hold down the mouse button and drag to literally "paint" Water Lillies onto the terrain.
    4. 1/4 Water Tile with Cattails.
Use this to plop Cattails along your shore lines. Single click for one clump or hold down the mouse button and literally "paint" Cattails all along your shores.
    5. Shore Tile - Pebble.
Use this to paint a pebble shoreline along your water. Use single click to create a thinner, semi-transparent effect, or click twice (or paint) to create a more opaque effect.  All Shore & Rock props orient to slopes and can be used anywhere to add extra texture to your terrain. Very useful for plopping along the edges of lots that do not blend well with the terrain. Can be used to paint pathways.
    6. Shore Tile - Mossy.
Use this to paint a mossy shoreline along your water.  Can be used to add a mossy/small flora texture almost anywhere on the terrain.
    7. Shore Tile - Sandy.
Use this to paint a sandy shoreline along your water. Slightly smaller in size and designed specifically to also paint pathways through forests, etc.
    8. Shore Tile - Small
A smaller and darker version of the Shore Tile. Very useful for dragging along the edge of other Shore Tiles where they meet the water to create a 3D effect.
    9. Rock Cluster - Small
A ploppable cluster of small rocks to add extra texture to your shorelines.
    10. Rocks - Small
A collection of 5 rocks, ranging from very small to not-as-small. The first click plops a smallest rock. Each subsequent click on the same rock replaces it with a larger sized rock.
    11. Boulders
A collection of 5 boulders, ranging from small to huge. The first click plops a small boulder. Each subsequent click on the same boulder replaces it with a larger sized boulder. The 2 largest boulders do not orient to the slope.
    Important:
Most shore and rock props have the ability to overlay each other to some degree.... allowing them to be plopped close together or cluster to create combined effects and textures. Using the click and drag paint method usually negates this clustering effect as it covers the area of terrain fully with the painted prop. By carefully limiting the various props in a specific area with slightly offset single click placement, there can be room between props to plop other props, such as rocks or the PEG Ploppable Flora, trees, etc...
    Park Menu Ploppable Lots
    1. 1x Water Tile.
Use this to plop a full 1x1 water tile. The lot contains the Sparkles animated effect. Ideal for plopping several of these in mid river or in lakes to add a little sparkle and life to your water. Must be plopped on level terrain.
    2. 1x Turbulence Tile.
A 1x1 water tile with animated turbulence effects along one edge. For use at the bottom of dams and waterfalls. Must be plopped on level terrain.
    3. 1x2  Water Fall.
Use this to add waterfalls of any height and width to your rivers and streams. Plop with the orientation arrow pointing down; one tile on the level top of the waterfall and the other tile on the slope. The top of the waterfall must be perfectly level.
    4. 1x Dam Output.
A special 1x1 water tile designed for the PEG Small Hydroelectric Dam. This water tile has 3 horizontal jets of water and was designed for the left-side/bottom of the dam to simulate water coming from the output pipes of the dam.  Must be plopped on level terrain.

  13. LOG TOWN USA... is a new series for the MTP that allows you to sandbox a rustic, remote village without the concern of providing jobs, road access, fire & police or schools & hospitals. Just like modeling the scenery on a model railroad layout, Log Town allows you to focus on the visual... and not worry about the functional. Ideal for sandboxers and CJers.... or anyone who just wants to add a little life to any remote and undeveloped area of your cities.
All Log Town lots require power and water... but nothing else. They were designed for use with the non-functional PEG Logging Roads but can be used with any custom set of roads or trails... or even the game default functional roads. All of the lots are nite-lited, feature custom 4-combo rotating query sounds, custom background sound effects... and custom queries that simulate functional lots.
Our first set of lots is the Cross Roads collection... a set of 4 corner lots that can be used to create the center of your village... or just plopped anywhere you want to add a bit of older, rustic ambiance. There are 5 lots in this package... which include the following:
    1. Logging Road - Cross Roads section. Adds a new Logging Road section to your menu that is more suited for use with the Log Town lots. Similar to the 4-way section, but with the grass edges removed.
    2. Corner General Store. A classic structure that provides everything from groceries (ie beer) to hardware... to local loggers, miners or residents.
    3. The Fuel Depot. Similar to a gas station. It could be owned and operated by the local logging company to refuel its vehicles... but could also sell retail to local residents and tourists that wander by.
    4. The Corner Diner. Standard greasy spoon... open from breakfast through dinner... and offering everything from the standard truck-stop slop to the latest road kill.
    5. The Village Center. An old-school strip-mall consisting of a barber shop, Dandy's Drugs, the No-tell Hotel and Grady's Tavern. Pretty much the Happenin' Hot Spot for this little berg.
The Cross Roads lots each cost §50 to plop... but nothing to maintain. They are located in the Misc Transportation Menu just above the Logging Roads.

    * The Log Town series is a more viable and flexible alternative to the classic logger's camp. It represents a more realistic approach to modern logging and mining operations where companies rely more on contract labor and independent commercial ventures would naturally spring up to service the needs of those employed in the area. By not being specific to any one industry or purpose, they can be used in your cities in any fashion that you choose. Standard RCI Ploppable and Growable versions will be released separately.

    MTP Logging Industry RESOURCE

  14. The first lot in the upcoming LOG TOWN USA series is, appropriately enough, the very lot that will used to power it. Yes... its the classic generator in an old shipping container. Juice... in a box.
This diesel powered generator lot is the same size and has identical properties to the game-wind turbine... except that it creates a very small amount of air pollution. A bit more rustic looking, its the type of creative, slapped-together power source you'd expect to see powering a remote logging camp or small isolated community. Cheap to build, cheap to run... and easy to maintain.
Although decidedly designed for use with the MTP, this power plant can be used anywhere you need a small amount of cheap power for remote buildings and facilities.
    * The lot features a custom diesel engine throbbing background sound effect that you can hear when you cursor near the lot. I feel compelled to mention it here because its so subtle, you'd probably never notice it if I didn't.
    * The Logging Industry lots were designed for the MTP but have been engineered to have a minimal dependence on it. The goal is to allow players to use these lots in any non-urban setting/city without the need to move the required files in and out of the Plugins folder when switching between different city types or styles. These lotsand the MTP dependency files can remain in your Plugins folder without affecting non-MTP themed cities.

  15. The MTP Corner Starbucks is the Mountain Theme Pack version of the Corner Starbucks lot(s). Functionally, it is identical to the generic Starbucks's lot in every way. In this version, MTP props and textures have been used to give the lot a more rural, small town look & feel. As with the original Corner Starbucks, this package contains both growable & ploppable versions.

The lots are 2x2 CS$$ and will develop in all densities. The growable & ploppable versions have different lot designs... but they both share the same properties and values.

The growable version comes in 4 separate files, with each file containing a version for separate Growth Stages 1-4. This will allow the player to better control when and how often these lots will develop by simply removing any of the 4 stage files.Corner lots are notoriously shy about developing, so this duplication for each stage is intended to increase the odds that they will develop. If you find that they start appearing too often, simply remove 1 or 2 of the separate stage files.

    * The 2x2 RCI CS$$ ploppable version can be found in your Landmarks menu. This version uses a different lot design but is still intended for plopping on corners. This could be very useful when you can't get a growable version to develop precisely where you want one. The ploppable version is also in a separate file and can be removed if not wanted.

  16. So... lets take inventory. We have the central Saw Mill with both trucks and rail bringing in logs for processing. We have Logging Roads to bring the logs down from the local mountains. What's missing? Oh yeah... Where the heck do the logs on the railcars come from? I'm glad you asked...
The MTP TLC Rail Transfer Yard is a typical marshalling area where Logging Road meets Rail. The logs from the trucks are transferred to rail logging cars by HLDs (Heavy Lifting Devices) for transport to distant mills that are generally too far away for economical transport by truck. This type of operation is really more of a convenient location... than an actual facility.... pretty much wherever a road can be run down to the nearest rail. If there is also a nearby water source... so much the better.
So what's with all the log dumping into the water... you ask. Good question. Its all about making a hard job a bit easier. Wherever possible, the logging industry has relied on conveniently located water sources for 2 primary reasons;  1. Logs are really heavy... and  2. Logs float. You can round up 20 really Brawny guys (yes, like on the paper towel commercials) and get them to move a log for you. They won't be able to roll it more than a foot or so before you hear the 'roids a-poppin'. Yet... one guy... with a long stick... can move a log on the water anywhere he wants with very little effort.
So... when operations get a bit backed up or the trucks roll in but the trains out of Yuma aren't due in 'till 3:10... the logs just get dumped in the pond. No profit in holding up the trucks and the HLDs can pull logs from the water easier & faster than from the ground or the back of a truck. And that's why.

Because the need for 2 types of this lot may arise... we have conveniently included two types of lots:
    1. An RCI ploppable with IND-M jobs and transit-enabled for street entrance to form a visual connection to your road network. Like any lot with jobs, this version requires power & water, road access and a local workforce.
    2. A Logging Road version that has no jobs & requires no power, water or functional road access. Just plop it anywhere & run Logging Roads up to it
Both lots are 4x5 tiles in size... and both have non-functional transit-enabled connections on both ends of the lot for a visual-only connection to rail. Both have a gated side entrance for optional access to a Logging Road. The RCI version cost $500 to plop... but nothing to maintain. The Logging Road version cost almost nothing to plop... but $10 per month to maintain. Most of that 10 bucks is for porta-crapper chemicals & TP.
Both lots have a custom query sound-effect... and are extensively not nite lighted in any way. The RCI version can be found in your Landmarks menu while the Logging Road version is with the other Logging Road lots in your Misc Transportation menu. Each lot is in a separate file so you can remove either one if you prefer not to use it.
    * The Logging Industry lots were designed for the MTP but have been engineered to have a minimal dependence on it. The goal is to allow players to use these lots in any non-urban setting/city without the need to move the required files in and out of the Plugins folder when switching between different city types or styles. 17. The MTP Logging Roads is a collection of 12 ploppable lots that can be connected together to form a non-functional Logging or Fire Road network throughout your remote and mountainous regions. The collection is very similar to the PEG Scenic Drive Kit, the MTP Access Roads and even the MTP Pine Trails lots. However, this kit has some new toys tossed in to give your roads a more natural & realistic "winding road" appearance.
These Logging Roads lots are technically parks with almost no park values... but they are located in your Misc. Transportation Menu. Being non-functional, they will provide the look of a rural road extending to remote logging operations, fire watch towers, campgrounds, etc... without the roads getting clogged up with the game's automata. None of these lots require power or water... or access to a functional road network. You can freely plop them anywhere that you like.

All of these lots are texture-based and will conform to the shape and slope of the existing terrain. This means that you can use them with little or no terrain editing... although better results can often be obtained by preparing the terrain beforehand.

*Using the game's functional roads to lay out a path beforehand is both fast & easy... and levels & smooths the tiles that the roads will be plopped on. This method was used to create the switchbacks shown in the picture.. although the wider, sweeping curves required some manual terrain editing.
The lots included in this package are:
    1. 1x Straight section.
    2. 1x Corner section
    3. 1x "Tee" section.
    4. 1x 4-way Intersection.
    5. 1x  Road-End section.
    6. 1x Street Transition section. (connects to your functional street or road network)
    7. 1x Pulloff section.
    8. 1x Parking Area section.
    9. 1x Rail Road Crossing. (functionally transit enabled for both passenger & freight rail)
    10. 2x2 Sweeping Curve section. (for more natural, wider curves)
    11. 2x2 S-Turn Right section. (jogs the road 1 tile to the right)
    12. 2x2 S-Turn Left section. (jogs the road 1 tile to the left)
    * The MTP Terrain Mod is not required for these lots... but it is recommended. These lots use the default MTP grassy texture that was designed to blend with the game default textures... which are also used by the MTP Terrain Mod.
** This lot requires the following dependencies:
    MTP SUPER PACK
    MTP Logging Industry RESOURCE

  18. The family owned Timber Lumber Co. has been in operation since the late 1880s. It's operations extend over vast areas of the mountains and they operate a very large fleet of "mobile assets" in the form of trucks, heavy equipment and, of course, railroad engines and rolling stock. It all has to be serviced and maintained somewhere... and this be the place.
The TLC Maintenance Yard is a ploppable IND-M lot that provides jobs and income from taxes. The lot is 4x5 tiles in size... and is transit enabled for a rail and street connection. (visual only)
The lot features nite-lighting, a custom query and custom query sound-effect. It is also loaded to the hilt with custom props, both static and timed.... as well as a myriad of custom textures.
    * This is the first lot to use the new custom CC Car Cluster Mod... as well as a smaller variation of that mod that uses company vehicles only.
    * The Logging Industry lots were designed for the MTP but have been engineered to have a minimal dependence on it. 19. This file updates the PEG-MTP Water Utilities lot to accomodate the PEG Pine Trees. On all five lots, the trees and other props have been relocated to eliminate over crowding and conflicts. All other aspects of the lots remain the same.
The zip file contains a single file (Version 2.11) which should be unziped to the folder where the older file (Version 2.05) is located. After installation, delete the older file.

Note: Because props have been changed and relocated on the lot, you will need to replop any existing lots in order to see the changes. Sorry about that... but that's just how the game works.

  20. This  PEG-MTP  version of the Large Plaza provides a more rustic & rural appearance to the traditional plaza that is more suitable for non-urban communities. A little more formal than the dirt version, it still offers a  pond & fountain that serves as a focal point and attracts local Sims to relax and reflect.

This is a 3x3 lot... like the original... with the same costs and properties. It does not replace the original Large Plaza and appears next to it in your Parks menu.

  23. This is a first generation Terrain Mod designed for use with the MTP... although it certainly can be used for any type of city. The goal of this project was twofold; 1. Develop a terrain mod that would blend better with MTP lots using the standard MTP base textures... and... 2. Make it incredibly small so it wouldn't chew up any additional game resources or make the game run any slower than it already does.
    Nailed it !!
At first glance, you may think this terrain looks pretty much like the game-default terrain. But you would be wrong... because it looks exactly like the game-default terrain. Because it is. But with a twist...
I always liked the look of the game-default terrain... but not at the lowest altitude where the grass is just way too dark green. Not realistic at all and unfortuately... most of us develop our cities on the default, flat, near sea-level terrain.
However, when you get up into the middle elevations, the game's terrain looks pretty darn good with a good combination of realistic vegitation and earth colors. So, this mod simply shifts the terrain around a bit by extending the middle elevation textures to cover both a lower and higher elevation range.
The end result is that your flat, sea-level cities will have a more realistic & softer green shade of terrain and your majestic mountain peeks won't be quite so bald. In between, you will get a realistic blend of the middle elevation terrain that also blends much better with the lot textures used on most MTP lots.
As stated above, this is a "first-generation" terrain mod... which is fancy-speak for "beta" or "experimental". But its compeletly safe to use as it only changes how the game default textures are displayed and actually adds no new custom matierial to the game. No additonal game resources required !!
** This mod has no dependencies.

  24. This  MTP  3x3 lot is similiar to the 3x3 Pond lot... with one very important difference. Its a spring... not a pond. That means it is continually fed with pure spring water. Which means its a viable fresh water source. And that's what we've done with it.
The MTP 3x3 Spring is a water utility that has the same costs, properties and production of the game default water tower. It works like the water tower... connects like the water tower... In fact, its identical to the water tower... except less vertical. No towering. Tower-less.
The Dedication This reminds me of the spring-fed reservoir on my Uncle Billy's ranch when I was growing up. At least,  it would have reminded me of it if Uncle Billy actually had a spring-fed reservoir.  Or a ranch.  Or if I had an Uncle Billy.   Or if I ever grew up.

But somewhere... someone has an Uncle Billy with a ranch or farm and a spring-fed reservoir just like this one. And this lot is for them.
    * Like all well behaved water utiliities, this water utility is located in the Water Utility menu.
    * The lot also has park values slightly less than that of a small park.
